EducationRe: Is Intelligent Quotient (IQ) Inherited From The Maternal Or Paternal Genome? by Kei144(m): 3:24pm On Nov 29, 2014
Intelligence is inherited, especially in terms of doing well in a particular subject. The inheritance can come either from the mother or the father. For those who say that intelligence is not inherited, try to find a child of educated parents that are not good in Maths, who happens to be exceptional in Maths due to hard work.

Ask people who teach computer programming their experience with students who try everything to learn computer programming, but are not able to.

Col. 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Col. 1:16 For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him.
Col. 1:17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
Col. 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.
Col. 1:19 For God was pleased to have all his fulness dwell in him.

He. 2:7 You made him a little [Or him for a little while; also in verse 9] lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honour
He. 2:8 and put everything under his feet.” [Psalm 8:4-6] In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him.
He. 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honour because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

All the confusions about who Jesus Christ is and is not arose due to the Church moving from Jews to gentiles. The moment gentiles completely pushed out the Jews and took over the Church, things fell apart. Since then, it has been so difficult to reconstruct the Church the way it is supposed to be. However, we are in the end time already, and Jews much retake eminence in the Church in order for full redemption to occur (Rom 8:23). The Jews of Nigeria have been prophesied to be the ones that will take the lead. https://www.nairaland.com/1857130/romans-threw-true-christianity-lions

Everything you read about Jesus in Col 1:15-19 is what God planned for Adam, but which was thwarted by Adam yielding to Satan. Adam was made a little lower than angels for a little while; but the little while turned into endless time when Adam yielded to Satan. Jesus is a new Adam that was also made a little lower than angels for a little while. Because Jesus refused to yield to Satan, three years after he was indwelt by the Spirit of God, God indwelt him with His fullness. Suddenly, Jesus knew that all things were created through (the new) him. Suddenly, Jesus began to know all the secrets of the universe. And this his new self is what he will be forever. He is forever God. But he wasn't God in eternity past; not even by 20 AD.

Ep. 4:22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;
Ep. 4:23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds;
Ep. 4:24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Col. 1:26 the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints.
Col. 1:27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

The real purpose of Christianity is the implementation of God's original plan for Adam in the Christian--a branch of Adam. God's original plan is now a mystery to us. The mystery has been fully implemented in Jesus Christ. It will be implemented in me; I don't know about you. Right now, Christ (the Holy Spirit) is in me; so, I have strong hope that this mystery will be implemented in me. In order for the mystery to be implemented in me, I need to put off my old self that yields to the ways of Satan; and put on the new self that is created to be like God. I put on the new self through Christ in me.

Ep. 3:19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge — that you may be filled to the measure of all the fulness of God.

One day, the glory will come upon me, when Jesus fills me to the full measure of all the fullness of divinity; just like God did to Jesus. I will suddenly be like God and that forever.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia states:
“The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

In The Encyclopedia Americana we read:
“Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—
(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L
.
According to the Nouveau Dictionnaire
Universel, “The Platonic trinity, itself merely
a rearrangement of older trinities dating back
to earlier peoples, appears to be the rational
philosophic trinity of attributes that gave birth to the three hypostases or divine persons taught by the Christian churches. . . . This Greek philosopher’s [Plato, fourth century B.C.E.] conception of the divine trinity . . . can be found in all the ancient [pagan] religions.”—(Paris,
1865-1870), edited by M. Lachâtre, Vol. 2, p.
1467.

John L. McKenzie, S.J., in his Dictionary of the Bible, says: “The trinity of persons within the unity of nature is defined in terms of ‘person’ and ‘nature’ which are G[ree]k philosophical terms; actually the terms do not appear in the Bible. The trinitarian definitions arose as the result of long controversies in which these terms and others such as ‘essence’ and ‘substance’ were erroneously applied to God by some theologians.”—(New York, 1965), p. 899.

Even though, as Trinitarians acknowledge, neither the word “Trinity” nor a statement of the Trinitarian dogma is found in the Bible, are the concepts that are embodied in that dogma found
there?
Karl Rahner, S.J., admits: “Θεός [God] is still never used of the Spirit,” and: “ὁ θεός [literally, the God] is never used in the New Testament to speak of the πνεῦμα ἅγιον [holy spirit].”—
(Baltimore, Md.; 1961), translated from
German, Vol. I, pp. 138, 143.

1 John 5:7, 8:
KJ reads: “For there are three that bear
record in heaven, the Father, the Word,
and the Holy Ghost: and these three
are one. And there are three that bear
witness in earth, the spirit, and the
water, and the blood: and these three
agree in one.” (Dy also includes this
Trinitarian passage.) However, some translations does not include the words “in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy
Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth.” (RS, NE, TEV, JB, NAB also leave out the Trinitarian passage.)
Regarding this Trinitarian passage, textual critic F. H. A. Scrivener wrote:
“We need not hesitate to declare our conviction that the disputed words were not written by St. John: that they were originally brought into. Latin copies in Africa from the margin, where they had been placed as a pious and orthodox
gloss on ver. 1Jo 5:8: that from the Latin they crept into two or three late Greek codices, and thence into the printed Greek text, a place to which they had no rightful claim.”—A Plain
Introduction to the Criticism of the New
Testament (Cambridge, 1883, third
ed.), p. 654.

Jesus said: “For the sake of your tradition, you have made void the word of God. You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said: ‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.’” ( Matt. 15:6-9

Regarding the Trinity, the Athanasian Creed (in English) says that its members are “incomprehensible.” Teachers of the doctrine
often state that it is a “mystery.” Obviously such a Trinitarian God is not the one that Jesus had in mind when he said: “We worship what we know.” ( John 4:22, RS) Do you really know the God you worship?

Hahahaha, see story. You said it was changed in the 4th century CE abi? Yet Tertullian (160-225) quoted it in (adv. Praxeam 25), abeg check that period, did it look like 4th century? What about St. Cyprain of Africa(?-258), he was already using it to preach as noted in (Jubaianum, Ep, 73). Keep peddling unfounded stories. Do you even know where the first set of books were canonized? In Africa!

So oga Fresky, African Fathers and writers from the earliest date in favor of the genuineness of verse 7 is of the utmost importance, as it proves that these words were found in the early African Latin Version of the Vulgate, in existence before the days of Tertullian, who quotes from it. Now, this early African Latin Version represents a Greek manuscript, from which the version was made, of an earlier date than any Greek manuscript of the Scripture now extant. Those who were present and decided what is scripture and what is not in the fourth century, all were quoting it as part of scripture without objection, Augustine, Jerome, Bonaventure, Cyril etc.

Now you come in the later part of the teen century to dispute them from recopied works. It's like copying from the person who copied from the person that copied from who copied from the one that copied from the teacher, and you use it as a yardstick...smh. Imagine thomas Howe (2008), talking of erasmus under pressure in 1522, mtchew.

Just imagine your pick and join analogy of the spirit, water and blood. Look at the struggle to make a sense of how they relate, appearing at different times, when everything was laid bare on the cross, no wonder St. Peter said in 2Pet3:15 "....in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction". No wonder indeed.

1John 5:7 : there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit. And these three are one.

Jesus the son of God is really God. God said so. Heb 1:8
All the people you mentioned in your post were gentiles.

Ro. 11:17 If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root,
Ro. 11:18 do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.

It is never given to gentiles to propound doctrines, in the name of receiving new revelation. The "nourishing sap" (revelation of God's word) can only come from the root (Jews). When gentiles began to form new doctrines, they began to pollute Christianity. The pollution has continued till today. Arab gentiles even went as far as forming a new religion, which has been a disaster to the world.

Christianity EtcRe: 10 Reasons The Crucifixion Story Makes No Sense by Kei144(m): 9:53am On Nov 28, 2014
What makes Jesus' death special is simply that he is an Adam--a new man. And he never committed any sin; only the soul that sins should die. that was why God could not impose death on him, even though God needed the death for salvation of mankind. It was only up to Jesus to choose to allow himself to die.

Jn. 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Jn. 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

Jn. 10:14 “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me —
Jn. 10:15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father — and I lay down my life for the sheep.
Jn. 10:16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be
one flock and one shepherd.
Jn. 10:17 The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life — only to take it up again.
Jn. 10:18 No-one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.”

Satan murdered mankind (https://www.nairaland.com/2015171/purpose-jesus-mission-earth). Jesus came to restore mankind to what God intended for him in the beginning. The only way Jesus could restore mankind to glory was by laying down his life for mankind.

Jn. 18:3 So Judas came to the grove, guiding a detachment of soldiers and some officials from the chief priests and Pharisees. They were carrying torches, lanterns and weapons.
Jn. 18:4 Jesus, knowing all that was going to happen to him, went out and asked them, “Who is it you want?”
Jn. 18:5 “Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “I am he,” Jesus said. (And Judas the traitor was standing there with them.)
Jn. 18:6 When Jesus said, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.
Jn. 18:7 Again he asked them, “Who is it you want?” And they said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”
Jn. 18:8 “I told you that I am he,” Jesus answered. “If you are looking for me, then let these men go.”

The detachment of soldiers that were to arrest Jesus fell to the ground when he announced to them that he was the person they were looking for. If Jesus did not want to lay down his life, they would have remained on the ground forever.

Lk. 4:28 All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this.
Lk. 4:29 They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him down the cliff.
Lk. 4:30 But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way.

The people in the synagogue were so furious that they drove Jesus all the way to the brow of a hill to kill him by throwing him down a cliff; were they able to kill him, even though they actually reached the cliff? Jesus was not willing then, to lay down his life; so, no one could kill him.

sonmvayina:
what did he send out the 90 or 92 disciples out to do? if the purpose was for him to die and saved us, what do you think those disciples told people they were preaching to before he died and did that message change after he died?
Lk. 10:1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two [Some manuscripts: seventy; also in verse 17] others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go.
Lk. 10:2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
Lk. 10:3 Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.
Lk. 10:4 Do not take a purse or bag or sandals; and do not greet anyone on the road.
Lk. 10:5 “When you enter a house, first say, `Peace to this house.’
Lk. 10:6 If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you.
Lk. 10:7 Stay in that house, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around
from house to house.
Lk. 10:8 “When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you.
Lk. 10:9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, `The kingdom of God is near you.’

The purpose of sending out the 72 (or 70) disciples is clear in the passage. He sent them "ahead of him", because all that Jesus' ministry needed to succeed among Jews is to get them to believe that he is the Messiah. The Jews knew very clearly about the prophecy of Messiah and these 70 disciples were meant to convince them that Jesus is he. There message was simply that "the kingdom of God is near you"; that is, the Messiah is here and he has brought the kingdom of God near you. They demonstrated their message by healing the sick and casting out demons. The aim of the whole effort was to make the people to receive Jesus as the Messiah. Unfortunately, up till today, Jews still refuse to receive Jesus as their Messiah. If they do, even today, the world will witness a wonderful demonstration of God's power.

Jews hold the key to the ultimate salvation of mankind. Do not mind Arabs who set up up a parallel religion, out of jealousy, and claim that the kingdom of God has come in a new way through them.

A: No, There is only "one" Almighty God- Jehovah. Almighty is a position that one one person/entity can hold. Besides Even though Jesus is a God he still has a God over him (John 20:17), so he can't be called Almighty.

Christianity EtcRe: The Purpose Of Jesus’ Mission On Earth by Kei144(op): 6:00am On Nov 27, 2014
[size=14pt]Rising up[/size]

The real reason for Jesus’ ministry on earth is to get human beings to come out of the fall and rise above the angels and become exactly like God.

Mt. 6:31 So do not worry, saying, `What shall we eat?’ or `What shall we drink?’ or `What shall we wear?’
Mt. 6:32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
Mt. 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

People’s minds have become used to just getting the best they can while in the fallen state of humanity. In order to get the best as fallen humans, they aim to accumulate abundance of food, drinks, wears, pleasures and all manners of possession. Even the churches of today are so focused on so-called prosperity. But that is not what Jesus’ ministry on earth is about. Jesus’ ministry on earth is about getting human beings to rise up from the fall and become like God. Jesus Christ himself is an example of a human being who rose up to become like God.

Ge. 2:9 And the LORD God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground — trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food. In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

In the middle of the Garden of God were two trees whose fruits were food for the soul of man. The tree of life is God; the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is the devil. When mankind chose to receive the fruit of the devil, we were banished far away from the tree of life (Gen 3:24). Unfortunately, the only way human beings could rise up to become like God is that the soul must continue to feed on the fruit of the tree of life. The blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for us has made it possible for us to get back to the tree of life.

He. 9:7 But only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.

He. 10:19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,
He. 10:20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body.

Re. 5:9 And they sang a new song: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.
Re. 5:10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.”

Only a priest of God can get near the tree of life (God) and he must go by sacrifice of blood. Our redemption by Jesus Christ has made it easy for any human being to be a priest of God and easily enter the presence of God (the tree of life). The person offers a sacrifice of blood only by faith; by pleading the blood of Jesus Christ. However, only a person that is in Christ can perform as a priest of God. A person becomes a priest of God by being properly baptized into Jesus Christ (water baptism). Proper water baptism must be preceded by repentance from the rebellious life of the first man and his branches (Acts 2:38). A person who wants to be baptized into Jesus Christ must shun the practice of rebelling against the word of God, which the old Adam is known for. The person must then embrace a life of submission to the word of God, which the new Adam is known for.

Ex. 40:12 “Bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting and wash them with water.
Ex. 40:13 Then dress Aaron in the sacred garments, anoint him and consecrate him so that he may serve me as priest.

Christian baptism in water is induction into the priesthood of God. After water baptism, the Christian should be dressed with sacred garments (holiness).

Ac. 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you;

Lk. 11:13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Whenever you enter the presence of God by the blood of Jesus Christ, ask God to give you the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the fruit of the tree of life. As you feed and feed on the Holy Spirit, you are rising up towards becoming exactly like God.

Ro. 10:10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Ro. 10:11 As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” [Isaiah 28:16]

Mt. 17:19 Then the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”
Mt. 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, `Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Lk. 18:1 Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.

As you receive the Holy Spirit, you should begin to operate like a (spiritual) king or prince of God. Being a king means to operate in the authority of the Holy Spirit. You can do all things through the Holy Spirit. You do things through word of faith. Even if it appears like the word of faith is not working, continue; it will surely work. For example, you can grow in holiness by operating the divine power through continual speaking of word of faith:

Everything in me that belongs to the kingdom of darkness; be destroyed by the Holy Spirit of the Most High, in the name of Jesus Christ. In the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I put to death every misdeed of the flesh, every act of the sinful nature in me, by the Holy Spirit.

Christianity EtcRe: The Purpose Of Jesus’ Mission On Earth by Kei144(op): 6:44am On Nov 26, 2014
[size=13pt]Salvation through Jesus Christ[/size]

What exactly is salvation? Salvation is the act of saving something that is in danger of being completely destroyed.

Jn. 8:44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Satan murdered mankind through lies. He succeeded in separating mankind from God, the source of life, through the introduction of sin. But God chose to save mankind from death. The only way salvation could occur is by bringing man near to God. When God looks at human beings, He sees the branches of Adam. God had to introduce a new Adam to the world. In order for the new Adam to acquire branches of the old Adam, the new Adam had to offer his life as a sacrifice of atonement for the sins of those branches.

He. 10:19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,
He. 10:20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body,
He. 10:21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God,
He. 10:22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

Any willing branch of the old man (Adam) can now experience the presence of God by pleading the blood of Jesus Christ, which was shed for our redemption. However, in order for the pleading of the blood of Jesus Christ to be effective, the person must belong to the body of Christ. A person joins the body of Christ by being properly baptized in water.

Mk. 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.
Mk. 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

The good news is that Jesus Christ offered himself as a sacrifice of atonement for our sins. Any person who is a member of the body of Christ (through proper baptism) and who believes and utilizes our redemption by the blood of Jesus Christ is in a position to experience the fullness of salvation.
Christianity EtcRe: The Purpose Of Jesus’ Mission On Earth by Kei144(op): 9:02pm On Nov 25, 2014
Then came Jesus

He. 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honour because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

Jesus Christ was also made a little lower than angels, just like Adam. But instead of falling to the level of animals like Adam, Jesus Christ rather rose much higher than the angels and is now exactly like God. Why the difference? Heb 2:9 says that the reason is that he suffered death for all mankind.

Ph. 2:5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Ph. 2:6 Who, being in very nature [Or in the form of] God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
Ph. 2:7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature [Or the form] of a servant, being made in human likeness.
Ph. 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross!
Ph. 2:9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name.

Jesus Christ did not consider becoming like God as something to be grasped by rebelling against the word of God as Adam did. Instead, he humbled himself and became obedient to God’s word. The obedience led him to be crucified on the cross, as sacrifice atonement for the sins of humanity. God exalted him above angels and he became exactly like God.
Christianity EtcRe: The Purpose Of Jesus’ Mission On Earth by Kei144(op):
In the beginning

In order to understand the purpose of the ministry that Jesus Christ carried out on earth, we need to review the beginning of mankind on earth.

He. 2:6 But there is a place where someone has testified: “What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
He. 2:7 You made him a little [Or him for a little while] lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honour
He. 2:8 and put everything under his feet.” [Psalm 8:4-6] In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him.

In Heb 2:7, we see that in the beginning God made man in such a way that for a little while he would be lower than the angels. After the little while, man would rise far above the angels and become exactly like God Himself.

Is. 14:12 How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!
Is. 14:13 You said in your heart, “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.
Is. 14:14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.”

Apparently, shortly after God created man, Lucifer saw that the newly created man would soon become greater than him. This must have aroused jealousy in him. So, he said in his heart, “I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will make myself like the Most High.”

Ge. 3:4 “You will not surely die,” the serpent said to the woman.
Ge. 3:5 “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

How could Lucifer raise his throne above the stars of God (mankind)? The only way was to prevent them from rising up above the angels and making them to fall to the level of animals. So, Lucifer went to work. He lied to mankind that the way to rise to the level of God was by rebelling against God’s word. Even though God had earlier warned mankind against receiving the fruit of Satan that leads to death, they still went ahead and accepted the supposed wisdom (or fruit) of Satan and fell to the level of animals.

In Heb 2:8, we see that in the beginning God put everything on earth under the feet of man. But now we do not see everything under the feet of man; because mankind fell from glory.

CHRIST's purpose for coming to this world is to set us free from the shackles of RELIGION, turn us from darkness, remove the veil covering our eyes and most especially helping us to see that God is a caring, loving and great father, and to show us how much He loved us,and above all to make us experience heaven-God's presence while we are still in our mortal bodies.John 1:12.. Jesus was murdered because of Roman politics. It was treasonable felony purnishable by death to declare yourself a King of Jews when there was a sitting king.
On seeing this post, my first reaction was that this thread is not about why Jesus was crucified. However, as I thought about the post more deeply, it dawned on me that Jesus' crucifixion was an important part of the purpose of Jesus' ministry on earth.

One of the questions I hope that will be answered in this thread is why crucifixion should be an important part of Jesus' ministry on earth.

Christianity EtcYour Attitude Should Be The Same As That Of Christ Jesus by Kei144(op): 12:28pm On Nov 22, 2014
Ph. 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
Ph. 2:4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Ph. 2:5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Ph. 2:6 Who, being in very nature [Or in the form of] God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
Ph. 2:7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
Ph. 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross!
Ph. 2:9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name,
Ph. 2:10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
Ph. 2:11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The fall of man occurred because Adam and Eve wanted to become as great as God by force--without earning it. This is the same reason why this world can never be a Paradise; human beings want to become great, not by earning greatness through quality service to the society, but through selfish ambition that is damaging to the well being of the society. Africa happens to be the worst in this regard, and that is why Africa is the hell hole of the world. In Africa, people rise to prominence in the society not because they use their talents and diligence to work for the progress of the society, but because they have the power or connections to take what belongs to the society. Talented people who would want to work for the advancement of the society are sidelined.

God is love. In His kingdom, the greatest is the one who does not only care about his/her own interests, but also about the interests of others.

Ge. 3:5 “For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Ge. 3:6 When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

Satan tempted Adam and Eve with selfish ambition, and they easily fell for it. They accepted the fruit of Satan in order to achieve their selfish ambition. Even today, human beings easily receive the fruit of Satan in order to achieve their selfish ambition. That is why many will take the '666' mark.

Mt. 4:9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
Mt. 4:10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: `Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’“ [Deut. 6:13]

Satan tempted the new Adam with selfish ambition, but the new Adam rebuffed him. The new Adam knew that greatness should be earned through selfless service and not through quick satanic ways.

Why do people start new Christian ministries? Is it to selflessly expose many people to the truth of Christ? Or is it to gain wealth or fame? Churches of today harass their members with tithe and all sorts of money-making gimmicks. What is the intention of all these money grabbing gimmicks? Does it portray the attitude of Jesus Christ?

There is a rumbling upon this earth and it has been in the making for quite some time now, but it will boil over soon. It will unleash a flow of hatred and intolerance for My true church. All who will and have declared My Word uncompromisingly and unashamedly will be harassed by the enemy, for My truth. Do not be afraid, for there will come forth from the deep fountains of your soul such boldness that you will be amazed that was there. I have been quietly making you more like Me. You will rise up in the power and authority that you were created for such a time as this. The true remnant will step up to the plate. Angels that have been sent to assist will protect and fight on your behalf. Require their aid and they will hearken.

Many that have run with you up til now will begin to back up into the shadows because they really have always feared men faces, although when there was no threat of being singled out for hatred, they spoke loudly and seemed to be bold. This is the season of true coming out! Those who are for Me will cross over to the other side where I Am, with all power and ability, there to make them stand against all resistance to My truth. Again I say, do not be afraid, I Am here with you. I can be depended on to bring you out victoriously. Know that the enemy is familiar with the old you, but he does not know the new you that you have become since your death! You are a new species, one that he can not quite understand, this has always baffled him, which is why he never quite succeeds when it comes to My new creation. So take a deep breath and take this plunge into this new territory with Me, we will conquer this land for the Kingdom too.

Be still and know that I am your God that there is no other god before you. I see your heart that it is pure, and I have promised you that the pure of heart will see Me. This is the day that I am searching hearts to see if there may be a people who will serve Me wholeheartedly, to see if they will pay the price to deny all so that they will have My power flowing through them in full force with nothing holding it back.

For to have all you must deny all, pick up your cross and follow Me in the places of My spirit that I will lead you. For yes, I will lead you in the wilderness, through the storms and fire, through the turmoil and the chaos, but you will have My grace upon you as I transform you into My image. Yes, truly you are My people, and I am your God, and I am preparing you to do a mighty work through you, and as you go through this process, you will take it with grace because you know that you can trust Me. You will say in your heart, “thou He slay me, yet I will trust Him”.

Yes, this is the day of the great falling away because many do not want to pay the price to deny all to have all that I have to offer. [/b]To have My life flowing through you, you must die. To have My life you must give your life. Resurrection power can only flow where there was once death. That alabaster box must be broken open to have the fragrance of My life flowing forth.

[b]So get before Me, My sweet children. Bow down before Me for I want to bless you with My kingly favor upon you.
For yes, you are My kings and priests, and I am preparing you to take the land. Don’t try to prepare in the natural, just deny yourself and completely yield, for surely you will not be disappointed. You will know that all you had to go through was not in vain. You will know that even though the price was high that there was no other way. Yes, My children, that no matter what you face in the natural, you will be able to look back and say, “Yes, it was worth it all!”

Hiswordxray:
Please explain how these verses support your prophecies.

Gen 9:11 "Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.”

2Pet 3:7,10,12 & 13 "But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men... But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up... looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells."
Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood;

Indeed, "all flesh" will never be cut off by waters. Even Mother Shipton's prophecy presented on page 1 says, "Not every soul on Earth will die as the Dragons tail goes sweeping by." The word of God is very accurate; it is not ambiguous at all.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat;

We know from the book of Revelation that the earth will face some cataclysmic events prior to Jesus' return. After the return of Jesus, he will reign for much more than 1,000 years before the earth will pass away with a great noise. My prophecies in this thread refer only to the cataclysmic events that will precede the return of Jesus Christ.

Moscow University’s robotic telescope has discovered a massive asteroid that could potentially hit Earth in the future. If such a collision happens, the explosion would be 1,000 more powerful than the Chelyabinsk meteorite explosion in 2013.

When a meteorite exploded in the skies above the Russian city of Chelyabinsk in February 2013, the energy of the explosion was estimated to be equivalent to 300-500 kilotons of TNT. But the Chelyabinsk meteorite was relatively small, about 17 meters in diameter and it disintegrated with a blast at an altitude of over 20 kilometers. The newly discovered 2014 UR116 is much bigger and its collision with our planet would be catastrophic, as its impact power would be 1,000 times stronger than of the Chelyabinsk meteorite, Scientific Russia journal pointed out.

But the good news is that the asteroid poses no threat to Earth for at least the next six years, Victor Shor, research associate at the Institute of Applied Astronomy told the Interfax news agency.

If you enter Lagos in a bus by 3-4 am, you see the beauty of Lagos. But when the day breaks and people pour onto the streets and roads, the beauty diminishes greatly. Overpopulation is the bane of Lagos. The Federal government should have made (or should make) effort to develop one major city in every geopolitical zone and catalyze the creation of employment opportunities in each major city, so that one city like Lagos will not continue to be overpopulated.

Unfortunately, in Nigeria, having multiple seaports and multiple international airports are viewed with tribal and political sentiments; yet, these are what made Lagos what it is today.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Does Christ's Righteousness Need To Be Imputed To Us? by Kei144(m): 10:06pm On Nov 05, 2014
[size=13pt]How is "real" Christ's righteousness imputed into a Christian?[/size]

1Jn. 3:5 But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.
1Jn. 3:6 No-one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No-one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.

The main reason why Jesus Christ came to the world was to get a people who will be sons of God. Sons of God have the nature of God and sin is contrary to the nature of God; so, Jesus Christ came so that he might take sins away from the hearts of sons of God. No complete or mature son of God still has sin in his/her heart. How does Christ take the sins away from a person's heart?

2Pe. 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
2Pe. 1:4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
2Pe. 1:5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;
2Pe. 1:6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness;
2Pe. 1:7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.

It is God's mighty power that makes it possible for a person to become righteous. Notice in 2Pe 1:5 quoted above that a Christian should make effort to add to his/her faith goodness, ... But what you hear in some churches is that once a person has faith in Jesus Christ, Christ's righteousness in imputed passively. That is why after all the talk about imputed righteousness, the same Christians simply wallow in sins.

Mk. 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

When Jesus Christ talks about being saved, he is primarily referring to freedom from sins. Here he gives two conditions for a person to be freed from sin: 1) Believe the good news. 2) Be baptized into Jesus Christ. How do these two save a person from sin?

Baptism

Ac. 2:38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptised, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Ro. 6:3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptised into Christ Jesus were baptised into his death?

A precondition for proper water baptism is that the person to be baptism must make up his/her mind to pursue holiness; that is what repentance is all about and that is what following Jesus Christ is all about. "Baptism" actually means "Immersion"; so, the proper baptism is by immersion in water. Ro 6:3 says that water baptism, if done properly, unites a person with the death of Jesus Christ; the person now has authority to plead the blood of Jesus Christ. Water baptism, if done properly, is initiation into priesthood of God. If you study how Levi and his children were initiated into priesthood, you will see that that is what baptism represents for Christians.

Believe the good news

The good news is simply that Jesus Christ died as a sacrifice of atonement for our sins.

Ep. 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.

As I stated above, divine power enables a person to be holy. in order to obtain the divine power, you must come into the presence of God by faith. Our unholiness disqualifies us from entering into the presence of God, but if we have the right to plead the blood of Jesus, pleading the blood ushers us into the presence of God.

Lk. 11:13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

If you are able to enter the presence of God, just ask God to give you His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit bears the divine power.

Je. 1:10 See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”

If you continually build up the Holy Spirit in you, by continuing to ask God, you can uproot and tear down any sin from your heart by the Holy Spirit, by simply saying it. You can destroy and overthrow works of darkness in your life by the Holy Spirit. You can plant and build up righteousness in your heart by the Holy Spirit. That is how righteousness can be imputed into a Christian.
Christianity EtcRe: Why Does Christ's Righteousness Need To Be Imputed To Us? by Kei144(m): 9:20pm On Nov 05, 2014
Why is it that when parents get children, they live together with these children, until the children grow up? Is it not so that the children will learn how to be human beings like their parents. Why don't Igbo parents, for example, send their young children to be raised up in Almajiri camps in the far North? Is it not because children that grow up in Almajiri camps will never be like typical Igbo children? In the same way, the reason why Christ's righteousness needs to be imputed into a Christian is so that the Christian will become a son of God indeed.

1Jn. 3:5 But you know that he appeared so that he might take away our sins. And in him is no sin.
1Jn. 3:6 No-one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No-one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.
1Jn. 3:7 Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous.
1Jn. 3:8 He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.
1Jn. 3:9 No-one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.
1Jn. 3:10 This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.

More important question though is, how is the righteousness of Christ imputed into a Christian? The imputing of the righteousness of Christ that you hear in churches is very unreal. Even the posts in this thread display the unreal imputing of Christ's righteousness. For example, look at this:

Goshen360:
1. "IF" a Christian who believes in the finished works of Christ sin once in a while just like you and I, does this sin unravel Christ's righteousness in you and me? That is, does sin we commit make us loose our righteousness in Christ?
2. "IF" we sin or miss the mark, are we still a sinner even though righteousness in imputed on us?
If righteousness is imputed in a certain aspect of life, there cannot be sin in that aspect of life. If Christ's righteousness has been imputed into someone's relationship with the opposite sex, the person will never be involved in sexual sin.

[size=14pt]Boko Haram can overrun Nigeria, says Atiku[/size]

A former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has said the Boko Haram sect can overrun Nigeria, unless Federal Government wakes up to its responsibility of protecting the citizens.

Atiku said this at a media briefing in Abuja, on Monday.

He was speaking on the humanitarian crisis caused by the recent territorial gains made by the insurgents.

Atiku noted that it was pathetic that the Nigerian military which fought a civil war and achieved a total reconciliation and reconstruction within 30 months, was today unable to deal with a five-year-old insurgency.

The former Vice President argued that the nation was suffering from a leadership deficit because five years was more than enough to re-equip the entire military.

According to him, the extremist sect currently controls two local government areas in Yobe, five in Adamawa and about nine in Borno states.

He said, "Ever since these terrorists have been taking over territories, there was never a time the Nigerian military has recovered one inch of any lost territory in these five years.

"Can you imagine a whole country like Nigeria with its armed forces? Not one inch of territory recovered from the terrorists? How can you now convince me that this government has the capacity to recover an inch if in the last five years they have not recovered one inch? Government must rise up to its responsibility of protecting its citizens otherwise the whole of this country can be overrun."

Christianity EtcRe: Who Really Is Jesus? A Prophet Or The Son Of God by Kei144(m): 2:59pm On Oct 25, 2014
God created man to be His son. In order to remain a son of God, the soul of man must continually feed on the living bread (the fruit of the tree of life). Unfortunately, man chose to feed on a fruit derived from Satan, and so became a son of Satan. Man therefore became quite useless to God. In order for God to have human sons again, God had to form a new man. Jesus Christ is the new man, Adam. Jesus Christ is a restart of the human race. Members of the old human race are spiritually grafted into Jesus Christ, and thereby become members of the new human race.

Right now, the old and new human races are staying together in the world, but the end time of the old human race is very close, during which the old race will come to an end and the new race will take over the world. That is what end time is all about.

In conclusion, Jesus is the new man, the son of God. He is the father of the new human race, and hence father of the sons of God. He is the chief Son of God. The title "prophet" is too belittling for him. He is the father of prophets of God.

He. 2:5 It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.
He. 2:6 But there is a place where someone has testified: “What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
He. 2:7 You made him a little lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honour
He. 2:8 and put everything under his feet.” In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him.
He. 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honour because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
He. 2:10 In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.
He. 2:11 Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.
He. 2:12 He says, “I will declare your name to my brothers; in the presence of the congregation I will sing your praises.” [Psalm 22:22]
He. 2:13 And again, “I will put my trust in him.” [Isaiah 8:17] And again he says, “Here am I, and the children God has given me.” [Isaiah 8:18]
He. 2:14 Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death — that is, the devil —
He. 2:15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.
