It is really unfortunate. May his soul rest in peace.
Sports / Re: Obaseki Blasts Nigeria Television Authority by kelvin(m): 12:56pm On Aug 20, 2009
I agree with walata44.
I don't think he realizes the consequences of admitting what he did. He doesn't really have the right to complain now, seeing this was as a result of his actions.
Politics / Re: Yar'adua Inspects Nigeria-made Armoured Personnel Carrier by kelvin(m): 6:47pm On Aug 15, 2009
Wow.

You guys need to develop an "uppy" attitude towards stuff like this. The guys claim they can produce the APC with the same quality at half the current price and with standard specification. We should at least give them a chance and see what happens.
Celebrities / Re: Stella Damasus Remaries by kelvin(m): 2:27pm On Mar 11, 2009
Well, its good for her. Though I remember vividly when she openly swore never to remarry.

Politics / Re: Nigeria Signs Nuclear Agreement With Iran by kelvin(m): 2:33pm On Aug 30, 2008
@outlukbabe

Thanks for the lecture, it was quite enlightening. But it still doesn't explain why Nigeria would want help from Iran. There are many more nuclear advanced countries (not neccessarily the west) that are not facing UN sanction currently that will be willing to "help".
Music/Radio / Re: Rock Music Is Satanic? by kelvin(m): 1:09pm On Apr 10, 2008
Even suggesting that all rock music is demonic is offensive to every connoseiur of good music.
Personally, my favorite genre of music is rock.
What qualities of a song qualifies it to be demonic?
If it's the lyrics, then listen to
3 doors down
likin park
cold play
light house family

TV/Movies / Re: Is The Ghanaian Movie Industry Making Any Improvement? by kelvin(m): 1:01pm On Mar 20, 2008
trueluva:

I really don't know because nigerians have just been making movies. And, some of them don't know how to act at all. You guys only put nigerians and british people in your movies. I want to know why you guys don't put Ghanians.

I don't think that's entirely true, I mean about featuring Ghanians in Nigerian movies. I remember seeing van, nadia and some others in Nigerian movies and I have watched some Ghanian movies with Nigerian producers.
Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs Ghana: Can We Beat The Host Country? by kelvin(m): 6:56am On Feb 04, 2008
I think the Super Eagles biggest problem is the supporters club. They get too emotionally attached to the match and fail to cheer the team. Look at the match against Benin. Their supporters kept on cheering despite the fact that they were never going to make it to the next round and the Super Eagles were trashing them 2-nil.

But with our supporters, its always different. We saw it against Cote D'Ivoire after the first goal. Then against Mali, when it looked like we won't go past the group stages. I mean, they are supposed to keep the spirit alive like their predecessors did in Atlanta.
Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs Ghana: Can We Beat The Host Country? by kelvin(m): 6:20am On Feb 04, 2008
Nobody should be sacked. Everytime our players get accustomed to a new coach and he looses the next thing is everybody calling for his head. Have we never stopped to think of what the different coaches and different tactics and coaching style is doing to our players.

The Super Eagles performance was not so bad, just unlucky in finding the back of the net. If we admit, for a moment, we all thought the Super Eagles would win, and that's because they tried their best under the circumstances.

Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs Ghana: Can We Beat The Host Country? by kelvin(m): 5:46am On Jan 31, 2008
@ A2J
The Ghanians don't have to fix a match to win it. But I am very optimistic they will meet a brick wall on sunday. They have already downrated Nigeria and I guess we can use that to our advantage.
Romance / Re: Would You Let Your Brother Marry A Girl You Slept With? by kelvin(m): 4:09am On Jan 17, 2008
This is a pathetic situation and it calls for caution.
Honestly, I don't know what I would do if I were in your shoes. But on the other hand, you know your brother very well and probably you lived with him for almost your whole life. Only you can tell how his going to handle the truth. Look at things first, if you tell him the truth, will he call off the wedding, will he hate you, or will he just move on like nothing happened. When you determine how he ll act, then you ll know what to do.
Family / Re: Is A Jobless Man The Head Of His Family? by kelvin(m): 1:32am On Jan 17, 2008
In some countries, the wives work while the husbands are sit at home dads.
If a husband does not have a job and his wife does, they ll just have to switch responsibilities, but its not to say the man has to forfeit his 'head' position.
The main problem is going to be the man leaving the chores, kids and house keeping to the wife. I mean he's gotta make himself useful in some way undecided
Culture / Re: My Wife-To-Be Is An "Osu" by kelvin(m): 12:50am On Jan 17, 2008
I ve heard many versions of the OSU story.

Some time many many years ago, it's believed that a certain group of people who commit some serious crime and are sentenced to death, in a bid to escape punishment, they run to the shrine of the gods for protection. As a result of this, they are cast away by the other villagers since they escaped punishment. Every other 'normal' person is not supposed to have anything to do with the outcasts.

Personally, I think its all nonsense. Even if people were cast out for something they did wrong, it should not be raken out on their kids.

If your brother truly loves the girl, then he must be ready to take a stand and do whats right.
Music/Radio / Re: Oprah Winfrey Whats The Fuss About Yahoozee ? by kelvin(m): 10:49pm On Jan 15, 2008
I really don't understand the song myself. But if Oprah has a problem with it, she will just have to chill, cause it is pumping.
Religion / Re: Lovemaking After Traditional Wedding Only: Is This Fornication? by kelvin(m): 11:46pm On Jan 14, 2008
Let's not get things twisted. Traditional wedding is recognized by God and Church wedding is ordained by God. Ater the traditional wedding, if the husband and wife intend to engage each other, they might as well forget the church wedding. The veil in the christian wedding signifies purity and virginity. If after the traditional wedding, the couple 'chop' themselves, christian wedding or not would not be recognized by God.

I don't know. That's my opinion anyway.
Computers / Re: No Internet After A Month Of Paying (Starcomms) by kelvin(m): 11:17pm On Jan 14, 2008
Yeah, starcomms could probably pose a problem for you. I use reltel and so far, it has been reliable. It is also relatively cheap, when compared to the starcomms picture you just painted.
Romance / Re: How Long Should You Date A Girl Before You Pop-up The Famouse Question? by kelvin(m): 11:10pm On Jan 13, 2008
Personally, I believe for a marriage to last, it depends on the courtship. Before popping the question, the couple need to know a lot about each other. To achieve this, they must first of be friends, understand each other, and needless to say love each other. However long it takes, is just enough for the big question.
Education / Re: How To Improve My Spoken English? by kelvin(m): 10:20pm On Jan 13, 2008
Reading alone would not help improve your spoken English. It can give you ideas, new words, etc, to improve your speech, you need to start speaking English very often. From your writing, we can tell that you have a good idea of the language, so before you speak, try to construct your speech in your mind. Use new words you discovered often, etc etc. undecided
Career / Re: Salary In The Nigerian Army? by kelvin(m): 6:05pm On Jan 12, 2008
When I was younger, I always wanted to join the navy, but once our school took a tour to the navy dock. I was disappointed with what I saw, so I changed my mind.

@post
It depends on why u want to join the army.
I heard their pay has sort of improved.

Romance / Re: Who Sits In Front: Your Girlfriend Or Bestfriend? by kelvin(m): 11:24am On Jan 09, 2008
Definitely, my friend, best or not would have to take the back seat. If not for any other reason, then for courtesy sake.

Obama might be a good candidate, but he is definitely going to meet some serious opposition.
TV/Movies / Re: What Can Be Done To Improve Nigerian Movies? by kelvin(m): 10:56pm On Jan 08, 2008
First of all, the scripts are poorly written. The budget is very low. The crew and cast are mediocrits etc
