Hello guys, I'm a 25 year old male and close to over 6'2 inches tall. Right from childhood, I've always had this thin physique that has made me look very lanky. Infact, I've never experienced what it feels like to put on weight or be fat šŸ˜.
Over the years, i have done a number of research and it i read that i have the endomorph body type or something like that, but i really want to bulk up so that it will fit my height.
I can't afford to go on a diet or eat 5-6 times a day as suggested by the internet, but can i get bulky if i join the gym?
Eat late at night, hit the gym and build your muscles, consume more sugar or sugar related food and consume them late at night or early in the morning. But I have to warn you, gaining weight has its own downside. You will hate yourself once you can't stop gaining weight cos you will also gain weight in the wrong areas like having protruding stomach and having bigger buttocks. That's why I also suggested going to the gym cos that will help moderate the process. I was once in your shoes but now I don't like myself.

100%
The president has the right to hire and fire.
That's why they call them commander in chief.
Read section 147 of the 1999 constitution.

If he's not in active duty, his vice president (due to the fact that they came in on joint ticket) automatically has the power to hire and fire anyone under the federal ministries.

Actually, you can overtake them, there's nothing against it, but it has to be AFTER THEY HAVE WAVED YOU TO PASS

I love the way you narrated and even took the blame where necessary... Only issue was your impatience... They would have waved you to pass, I've seen them do it severally, especially soldiers, they'll even wave you to pass and greet your children if you have kids in the car

Thanks for your advice. I was just trying to get to where I was going and trust me, driving behind a Convoy doing just 80km/hr can be frustrating. Even for regular commercial buses. I was hoping they will pass me after following behind them for at least 10 minutes but they didn't so I decided to just go.

There is no law prohibiting that other than a Nigeria factor and policemen's uncertainties.

Your car is not really fast! You drive an Acura zdx with 300hp, and you clearly donā€™t even know how to handle it, the zig zag movement is because you were too close to them and they saw you as a threat with your tinted glass, still flashing them from behindā€¦ my advice is not for novice drivers like you but for experienced and professionals who know how to handle a machine and really wants to pass a convoy for an emergency purpose without having any issue with them.

Me, novice driver after 10 years of driving and at age 35 šŸ¤£
ZDX is not fast enough, 0-60mph in 7 seconds (0-100km in 7 secs) is not fast but those sienna you're selling are faster. I agree with you, I should be drag racing with armed policemen.

Your car is NOT a 340hp. It's a 300Hp.
It's also not very impressive at its acceleration at 8.1 seconds 0-60mph.

Back to the topic, YOU PUT YOUR LIFE AND THAT OF YOUR FAMILY through grave danger. Never attempt that ever in the future. Many never lived to tell the stories.
There's no such laws that allows such lawlessness on the part of the convoy, but common sense and safety reasons 101 dictates you try to stay alive even if it means you missing an appointment cos the country is trying hard to kill you.
Thanks bro, learned my learn. I overtake convoys but mostly VIP convoys, it's the first time I attempted to overtake money movers and it didn't end well. Yes my car is a 300hp but definitely not 8.1 secs to 60mph. It's 7.1 secs.

There is absolutely nothing wrong in over taking a convoy thatā€™s not moving at a fast pace except itā€™s a presidential, governor or military convoy. itā€™s just the way you do it, i over take any form of convoy I meet on the road and nothing has ever happened. in defensive driving, if you want to over take a convoy make sure your vehicle is capable of running really fast next time donā€™t bother flashing them or getting close to them, flashing them will raise suspicions. Floor your throttle and pass them with a lighting speed (160kmh or more) donā€™t slow down next to them or get close behind them before over taking, just floor your throttle and pass nothing will happen. They are also humans and believe youā€™ve somewhere very important to go.

NOTE: I wonā€™t suggest you try this with a not so fast car or a car without heavy torque, if you near them too much problem for you.
Do not try this. Don't take this man's advice cos he obviously hasn't experienced what I did.
1. My car is really fast and can pedal shift which means I have great control of the gears.
2. You can't attempt to race pass a Convoy, it becomes more dangerous if they feel threatened due to your reckless driving.
3. Do no attempt to race past a Convoy cos if you hit top speed and they start that zig zag movement to stop you from overtaking, you will either end up in the bush or hit them, then there's a 90% chance you'll be shot.
4. Policemen are not humans. Know that and stay safe.

One was literally rigging of alcohol, he was the most aggressive and I was legit scared that he may shoot due to his drunken state.
Please don't advice people to try those things you just mentioned. None of them will work in that situation unless they want you to go cos as soon as you attempt to overtake, they will start moving zig zag and try to push you off the road.

This stuff happens mostly on the highway. If it's your first time coming upon such a motorcade you'd obviously want to overtake them and then have an experience.

First time this stuff happened to me was from onitsha to agbor. 3 hilux only with like 4 guys in the last vehicle, spreading across the full free road just driving anyhow. At first when we got to a hill facing upwards I saw my chance and married the edge of the right side of the road and gunned the pedal.

Those vehicles immediately started doing the zig zaging and I instinctively matched brake pedal in order not to hit their bumper swearing furiously in my mind at the driver only to look up and discover that all of the guys on the back had since raised and were pointing their guns directly at me in a very threatening manner.

I just chop the humble pie with my overloaded 3mz sienna and followed them at 70kmph from then onwards till they branched off the highway. One particular one of them will sometimes stand up and raise his gun pointing it at me and start shaking it, gesturing like he's saying PA - PA - PA (like how kids do when they point sticks at each other and jerk it to signify shots being fired) The guy did it to me like four times along that journey.

I just dey watch am from like around 8 to 10 cars back dey hide my face. It is only those who seldom travel by road that haven't encountered these type of things.

I have had a few encounters with them in the past but mostly VIP escorts and they always let me pass when there's a long stretch of open road but these ones are not VIP, I think they were moving money but not in the proper way cos there was no bullion van. There were only 3 pick up trucks and the middle one has house at the back.
I would have taken all three of them within a few seconds if not for that zig zag thing. The annoying part is, they actually overtook me at soldier checkpoint. It's strange that they can overtake us but we dare not overtake them.

Thank God for your live.

You really fumble; a big one at that.

Some other officers who have shot you on sight.

For the fact you're are driving a tinted made it worse. Also, as a piece of advice:

1) When they ordered you to come down, next time kindly do so obediently. Believe me, the odd of getting shot in your car for being adamant is higher than coming down

2) Always be patient and give room for unforeseen in your programme. It is better to arrive late and alive than be there in body bag

PS: Go and blur your number plate up there.
Your first advice is an absolute No. If I had came down in the heat of that moment, they would have dragged me into their van or simply shot me. They were extremely angry. I raised my hands up and refuse to open the door though I rolled down all my doors so they could see everyone in the vehicle.

Last time I did that was last year October. Was on 80kph on express and didn't quickly sight bank bullion van.they also did the same zig zag swerve when they saw me with speed. Like an angry goat I also followed dia pattern of zig zag since me even like drift. Las las 7 of them came down. Told me to wind down. Open the 4 doors, come down..and I said my shop was on fire and I was about 10mins away to the shop .that I didn't see then ahead. Las las dem let me go. After 5mins of questioning and what I did for a living,ID card and where I was coming from. I swear.e don tay wey I do am. But it's always them at my back. And once I hear a siren about 20 to 30 feet away I go press sport mode. Them must not see my back. Anyway dis your acura na 3.5liter engine.but I'm sure its non turbo. The horsepower should be close to 300 or less.
It's a 3.7L engine and a 340HP. It's quite fast and revs like a monster truck. I feel like maybe that intimidated the policemen a little bit too cos as soon as I switched to sport mode and gear down with my pedal shifter, the engine revved and the speed was lightning. I would have overtaken all 3 of them within 3 to 5 seconds if they didn't start that zig zag movement.

Your experience reminds of a similar awkward experience i had with those 'unpleasant' guys. In my case, I was actually going at a speed of about 100km/hr when I noticed the convoy behind me. There were about 4 vehicles. The first, second and third overtook me successfully but the fourth was clearly struggling to overtake. Immediately I noticed that, I magnanimous slowed down and allowed the vehicle overtake. No issues. After a while, I observed that they had reduced speed to about 70-80km/hr. I then proceeded to overtake them. Mistake! Note that I was driving alone and my glasses are clear; no tints. Omoh! Soon as I began to overtake, the zigzag driving started while they were cocking their guns and pointing them menacingly at me! Shoooo! I quickly give myself sense and ran myself into the bush. I felt shaken and humiliated! They could easily have caused an unnecessary accident.
That was what happened to me too. They pretended as if they didn't care, as soon as I started overtaking them, they started the zigzag movement and blocked me off then they call stopped and came down from their trucks, started hitting my car. Trying to open my doors. They even damaged my two front door handles and hit my glass many times but it didn't break.
Whatever they were trying, I just kept shouting please don't shoot. My wife and baby are here. Please don't shoot.
Make dem no go kill me for their presence. If they want to kill me, kill me alone. Don't traumatize my family any further.

Car Talk / What Is The Law On Overtaking Police Convoy? Was I Wrong? by Kelvin30286063(m): 6:31am On Dec 08, 2023
On Wednesday 6th of December, I was driving my family from Ondo to Akure to launch a new business.

We plan to start the event at 12 and it was already past 11am so I was rushing. Along Akure road, I saw this three police convoy going in front but they were not very fast.

I have a really fast car so I was like, I should overtake them and be on my way, I flashed the last pickup with about 3 policemen at the back but they didn't make any reaction and didn't gesture for me to go.

The road ahead of us was long and free, no incoming vehicles so I saw it as an opportunity.

After flashing twice again and no response, I decided to overtake all three pickup vehicles quickly so I switched to sport mode and decided to use my pedal shifter to go faster.

As soon as I revved and started overtaking them, they went crazy and started driving zig-zag on the road leaving me absolutely no room to go.

At the end they ran me into the nearly bush and parked me off. One of them decided to use their vehicles to intentionally brush my car while parking me off the road. They all came down, almost 20 of them and started shooting in the air.

They started shouting come down from this car! Hitting my car everywhere with fist and hitting my glass with the tail of their guns. Somehow my window didn't break even after they hit them 5 or 6 times. (Respect to Acura on that)

One of them pointed his gun at my vehicle and was about to shoot. I roll down my glass and started begging them.

My wife was sitting in front with me and my 2 year old daughter was sitting at the back in the hand of a friend we took along with us to act as MC for the occasion.

My wife quickly collected my daughter from the guy and held her to her chest cos she was already panicking and crying.

I think that was what saved our live cos as soon as they saw my daughter, somehow they calm down a little and started trying to drag me out of the car.

I vehemently refused to go down cos I know I will be beaten or even shot. After a few minutes of acting upset, shooting in the air, one of them that was fat and looks like their leader came down from the middle van.

That was the first time I noticed that the middle van was actually covered at the back which means they may be carrying something. They didn't use a bullion van so there was no indication that they were moving money and they didn't use siren either.

Long story short, the big guy that looked like the boss came to me and said why did I overtake them.

I explained that we were in a hurry and I flashed a few times before I attempted to overtake them and I also saw that the road was clear.

He looked at me, looked at my wife, looked at my crying daughter and looked at the guy at the back then asked me to come down that nothing will happen to me, I took my company's ID card and my guy at the back and I came down.

He checked the ID and said don't do that again. The others were shouting he must follow us to the station bla bla bla but he was calm.

Eventually they let us go.

They damaged the bumper of my vehicle in the process.

I know I was in the wrong by overtaking them without anyone gesturing that I can go but seriously, WHAT IS THE RULE TO THAT?
Especially on highway, with a wider road and not within the city.

I had to apologise to my family later cos I know it was a traumatic experience for them and I accepted my fault but I'm still confused on how I was wrong. The road was straight, long, clear of incoming vehicles and I flashed and horned.

Are we expected to follow convoy from wherever we see them to where ever they are going even if they are driving at 80km per hr?

Why should Nigeria have a dedicated fleet of aircraft for the presidency in the first place? Most of the developed countries operate only one or even use their country's airway.
