Politics › Re: How Atiku Won Akwa Ibom: Full Presidential Election Result by Kennydoc(m): 8:36pm On Feb 25, 2019 |
BaaleOko: Atiku has never been a popular figure in the Nigeria as far as politics is concerned, much less the North where he's just another regular rich guy with no clout. Compared to Buhari who is a demi god up north, Atiku stood absolutely no chance. PDP's biggest miscalculation was fielding Atiku as it's presidential candidate. Someone like Tambuwal would have been a far better asset in destroying or considerably reducing Buhari's invincibility up North... I guess PDP will bounce back stronger in 2023 cause Buhari whos probably the only reckoning force for APC... will not be there anymore. Even though Tambuwal has a better image in the North, he still wouldn't have won Buhari there. Is it Borno and Yobe that would have voted Tambuwal? PDP only managed to win Adamawa cos it's Atiku's home state. No other Northern politician would have won there. |

bettercreature: I think every state need a Tinubu compared to Saraki.Tinubu has successfully made lagos the best and most developed state in Nigeria Pdp is one evil party that must not allowed in any state Tinubu didn't make Lagos the most developed state. You guys should stop spilling that crap. By virtue of it's location and the position it occupied as the federal capital territory for several decades, Lagos simply has the infrastructure to be the greatest irrespective of who is in charge. 30 years ago, Abuja was a complete Bush. Today, it has overtaken most states in terms of economy. Assuming FCT is made a state in the future, and gets to have a kingmaker like Tinubu, somebody will start praising him for making Abuja what it is. |

But seriously guy,why is your hope high in atiku Make we yarn like matured grown ups Oga, shut it! The railway revolution was started by PDP government. Obasanjo was the first to repair the narrow gauge between Lagos and Kano and PH to (I think) Makurdi or beyond. Jonathan signed and constructed Abuja to Kaduna standard gauge. The tracks had been fully laid, and all FG counterpart funding were fully paid before Buhari took over. Same for Abuja metro rail. All Buhari has done is to construct Lagos to Ibadan standard gauge (and it's even only the Lagos to Abeokuta portion that is ready now). Let me also remind you that PDP government signed that contract. Every government has been constructing roads, so no big deal. Jonathan for example dualised and repaired Abuja to Lokoja and Ore to Benin expressways respectively. |

seunmsg: PDP complained about Amina Zakari and she was removed from operations and logistics and later removed as head of collation center management committee all in the interest of ensuring credible elections . Mike Igini should also be redeployed in the interest of ensuring credible elections in Akwa Ibom State. A partisan REC is inimical to credible elections in any state. PDP's complaints regarding Amina Zakari were not mere conjectures. They were founded. APC's complaints in Akwa Ibom are unfounded allegations. To prove it, it will take a couple of days or weeks after which elections would have ended. If you want to remove the REC just because of unfounded allegations like this, what will happen when you hear such from other parties in 20 different states by tomorrow? Moreover, it's already too late for such an alteration to be made. Just the same way removal of INEC Chairman was frowned upon most people including the international community. |

Whatever happens to you; no president will give an order that his own citizens should be shot summarily, No! No, its okay, emotions are running high these days. Any individual including myself can be misinterpreted.
“These are not his words; he is a law abiding person and he understands categorically and clearly what rule of law is and the lives of individual citizens that he is in that office to protect. Now, let me run this; he has been fighting Book Haram, kidnappers and all these before this election, did you hear him asking them to be shot and executed summarily?”

Christianity Etc › Re: Apostle Suleman Speaks On His Preferred Candidate: 'Thief Better Than A Killer' by Kennydoc(m): 2:28am On Feb 18, 2019 |
Daboomb: You are just clever by half! - If you vote Atiku, he too will want to spend 7yrs,,like GEJ who agreed only one term but changed his mind in 2015. That means the Northerners will be there for 12 yrs. Bad idea. - If you vote Atiku, Obj, an Easterner who is his vice, will want to contest for President, even after Atiku and same Obi has spent 12yrs there! That means nothing for the Yorubas for the next 16yrs, till 2035! Very baddest idea.
But a vote for APC means the Yorubas can try their luck at the presidency in 4yrs time. You see why Atiku is POISON for the South West, not to mention his status as a CONFIRMED THIEF? If Buhari is voted out, it means 2 sitting presidents have already be voted out in Nigeria. Subsequent presidents will know 2nd term isn't guaranteed anymore. Atiku will either sit up or get ready to be voted out by 2023. If he sits up and performs well, why shouldn't he be reelected? Is your concern about having a Yoruba president or a president that will work in the interest of Nigeria? Is there any problem if Obi spends 12 years as both VP and President? Many Yorubas on this forum are already saying that Osinbajo will take over from Buhari by 2023 and hand over to a northerner (possibly El-Rufai) by 2031. Won't that make it 16 years of Osinbajo in power? The second point of yours which I highlighted is an extremely selfish point of view. Yorubas have had 8 years in presidency and 4 years in vice presidency out of 20 years of our democracy. Igbos have had none, yet you still don't think that in the spirit of fairness, Igbos should be allowed? Mind you, based on population, Igbos are nearly as populous as Yorubas in Nigeria. |

desiredhome: Some funny people in this country called Nigeria, so the number of people that are dying everyday due to poor health care, bad roads, no electricity, no good education despite all the money that this country has? The same people that has stolen this country dry? Who then is more of murderer? Corruption is even worst, I can see that a lot of Africans are so blind that you think they are under a course? A black man with dark mind/Dark continent.
Are there not other vibrant/younger contestants out there? they busy insulting themselves over two old men who has nothing to offer and will still be complaining afterall. WHO DID THIS TO US? The same old politicians that have been ruling us since kembe In a Republic of Southern Nigeria, Biafra, Oduduwa etc, you can have those young and smart guys as president cos you're going to have more rational voters. With Northern Nigeria in the mix, it is extremely difficult to achieve that. What they look for in leadership is far different from what southerners look for. As far as 2019 is concerned, a northerner must win the election, cos according to an unwritten rule, the north must complete their 8 years. The Northern voters cannot vote any other person who isn't a northerner. That's a fact. So if smart southerners like you (I believe you're from the South) waste your votes on those candidates that can't even win their wards, you've ended up giving Buhari the opportunity to continue for another 4 years. The question now is, between the 2 prominent Northern candidates, who are you more comfortable with? By 2023, the South will have a chance to produce the next president of Nigeria. All these young guys contesting now will stand a better chance then. My opinion is that Buhari be voted out now and replaced with Atiku just for the next 4 years. By 2023, Atiku also will be voted out and replaced with a 'proper' president that will work in the interest of Nigerians. |
