Worry is really just a smaller way to say we don't know if God will come through. It's our inability to trust Him to do what He says He will do. Don't borrow trouble from tomorrow. Just cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you. You give yourself negative emotion by worrying thereby making the solution far from reaching you. Don't worry, God can and God will... Just believe and trust that He can. 1 Like |

efosa12345: Beside most schools if not all will offer a refund at the event you are refused. The only requirement is your refusal letter and timely re-call for funds in most cases about a $100 is forfeited. Truth is CDHC knows this but De-emphasises it and bla bla bla |

Hi All! Enjoy reading OTTAWA — Canada’s economy could be in trouble if universities don’t start churning out more graduates from all fields of study, including the arts and humanities, says the Association of Universities and Colleges Canada. “If we think our economy is going to be healthy going forward without a well-educated population, we’re kidding ourselves. It is not going to happen,” said Stephen Toope, AUCC’s chair and the president of the University of British Columbia. His comments might surprise those who believe today’s job market is flooded with unemployed or under-employed English and history grads. But both he and AUCC president Paul Davidson contend graduates from those fields, as well as those from science, technology, engineering and math, are and will to continue to be in high demand by employers. “There seems to be a myth out there that we’ve got enough university grads,” Davidson said Monday during a meeting with the Citizen’s editorial board. “We actually don’t in this economy. There’s a real appetite for more, and it’s only going to grow more profound over the next 10 years.” AUCC, which represents more than 90 universities and degree-granting colleges, says employment rates across the entire post-secondary education sector for all graduates, including those who studied arts and humanities, are high, and many are working at jobs that relate to what they studied. It estimates an additional 2.1 million jobs will be created for university graduates between now and 2020, and also points to Statistics Canada figures showing the net increase in new jobs for university grads between July 2008 and July 2012 was 700,000, compared with 320,000 net new jobs for college grads. The number of jobs for people with no post-secondary education shrank during the same period. Although he presides over a prestigious university, Toope said AUCC’s call for more university graduates is less about competition within the post-secondary sector and more about making Canada globally competitive. The majority of new jobs created in Canada in the coming decade will require some kind of post-secondary credential and he just wants universities to get their share. “If we just sink all of our investments right now into trades education, we’re going to find five years from now we’re going to have a bunch of people with no projects to work on because no one’s doing the planning, no one’s doing the engineering design, no one’s the entrepreneur that actually creates the opportunities,” he said. Canada produces fewer graduates from the fields of science, technology, engineering and math than the United States, which itself lags behind Europe and Asia. “We do have to try to figure out how to encourage students from high school to think about going into science, technology, engineering and mathematics, but that’s not about saying people shouldn’t be doing arts degrees,” Toope said. “It really does depend on what their capacity is, what their ambition and talents are.” AUCC also wants Canadian schools to ramp up co-operative education or internship programs, which half of all university students already have access to as part of their program. Such programs are a win-win situation for students who get a taste of a real job in their field and employers who get prime access to prospective employees. “It’s an incredible eye-opener for students,” Toope said. “Being out in industry actually experiencing what a work environment can actually help concentrate the mind pretty effectively.” 1 Like |

Jesus4all: If your confidence is in man, you have defined your limits! But if the Most High is your God... you have also defined your limits. Here is the truth though, in God, you have no limits; "for happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help..."! It is well with you TODAY! Jesus4all have introduced a new twist to this whole TRV Wahala o. He practically didn't submit the most important requirements yet got a medical call up. I guess we can all learn from this. While its important to stick to the rules, it appears the rules, like every other can be broken. So lets save ourselves the headache of over thinking and over dependent on credentials sometimes. Many more such news will be shared on this forum. I have always known thats how it works though. What the enemy meant against you for evil, will turn round to bring you God's favour in Jesus name. As bad as it may sound majority may not get their TRV to study but the truth also is that success sometimes isn't defined by that. Those who have been refused, don't give up. Wetin you dey find go Sokoto fit dey inside your Sokoto. Only time will tell. More good news in the house. 1 Like |

silibaba: am in a fix, i applied for study permit since june at the CDHC and my school has commenced academic session.Do I still wait on them for the permit or ask my school to change my start date. I nid answers I guess the mistake you made was applying in June for a September start date. Most of those who applied in March have received their TRV and have gone. The instruction is 4-6months. June to 1st week in September is not in that range. You should contact CDHC. 1 Like |

lokzie: Ok, here's some more info. i just noticed the page to download all study permit forms on CDHC website was updated recently -Date Modified: 2012-01-09 (September 1 2012). see http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/nigeria/visas/forms_study-formulaires_etude.aspx?view=d so if you are yet to submit your application but downloaded the forms before September 1 2012, you may need to check you have filled the current forms.Hope someone finds this helpful I have looked through both and I must say that there is a lot of difference. This also gives me the impression the embassy is trying to do something about the complaints they have been getting from the Nigeria government. Here are some of the differences I spotted. Old. Have you previously appeared for any Canadian visas e.g Permanent Resident, Temporal Resident (Work, Visiting, Study) YES or NO Have you ever been refused any kind of visa to travel to Canada? YES or NO Have you ever been refused admission or being ordered to leave Canada or any other county? YES or NO If you answered yes to any of the above please provide reasons (Type in the reasons in the space provided) New Have you ever remained beyond the validity of your status, attended school without authorization, or worked without authorization in Canada? YES/N Have you ever been refused any kind of visa, admission or been ordered to leave Canada or any other country? YES or NO If you answered yes to any of the above please provide reasons (Type in the reasons in the space provided) Now for me form IMM1294E (02-2012) is better than the new one IMM1294E (07-2012). If I hadn't submitted, I will still submit with the old because the new have categorised both those who were simply refused visa here in Nigeria and those who have been ordered to leave Canada into one group making any applicant applying to now do a lot of explanation to avoid mis-categorisation which is quite common at the embassies 2 Likes |
