You need to change that mechanic before he sends you back to trekking mode. Your car must have overheated once and burned the head gasket. That is why radiator coolant is getting into the combustion chamber of your engine and the water is mixing with engine oil. Change the top gasket first.

NOTE: Cause of overheating could be anything like, shutted thermostat, poor fan speed, water pump failure etc, not because of single cell radiator, just get a good mechanic to find out for you. Changing to double cell radiator will not solve any problem but will compound your fuel consumption because your engine operating temperature would be elongated and the engine will ask for more fuel. I am not a mechanic and I don't need to be one before I understand these things.

I am yet to hear any good story about these cars; Nissan, Mazda and Mitsubishi. Is it that our mechanics don't know how to handle them or they are bad vehicles?

The fist one, sometime in 2005, my brother asked me to help bring his Toyota carina II from the mechanic, on my way back I was speeding so much that I ran into some bumpy portions of the road, the car bounced vigorously repeatedly and finally made a sideway spin. When I came back on the road, I was just going at tortoise speed till I arrived home safely.
The second one, he gave me same Toyota Carina II to help drop a visitor at a motor park, on my way back after dropping the visitor, I saw a Toyota Tercel speeding ahead of me, I joined in the race and we made it a drag race. There was on okada in between us and in a bid to overtake the okada, the car glided its side against the okada and the okada came crashing down. I had to slow down and stopped, in a twinkle of an eye hundreds of okada riders had covered me, all cursing and threatening to beat me, I was just apologising. I eventually took the okada guy to a nearby local clinic and paid for his treatment with the money on me. I didn't even remember anything about the Tercel I was pursuing. The third one was with his Infiniti SUV but that is a story for another day, I think I've said enough for now. Let's continue to read other people's experience.
