incomplete statement, (the man even after about 10 to 15 minutes before medics came, so what happen? then jump to conclusion, bottom line he survived). Pls re-read

First i didn't want to comment but then. Reality check is the medical system failed him. That's just the simple truth, there's a video online of a man in the USA that was shot in the head inside a car, the man even after about 10 to 15 minutes before medics came, bottom line he survived it. Battled his life but survived it.... But Nigeria here, after he got home, well as usual we won't say anything or face reality, we would just say " THAT'S HOW GOD WANTS IT TO BE".
Read what you wrote again and modify.
AutosRe: Should I Change To Synthetic Oil For A High Mileage Engine? by kernniejay(m): 9:20pm On Jul 31, 2019
Firstly, confirm if you have sludge buildup in your engine, sludge is the thicken engine oil that has become a paste and settles down the engine sump. (sludge builds as a result of not doing your lubrication service as and when due). If there is, you need to dislodge the sludge gradually and completely, make sure the engine chamber is totally clean, then begin to apply the recommended 5w30 and do your service regularly.

kingreign:
W203 internal/chassis designated code has two series, prefacelift, and facelift. In prefaelift models, you can barely distinguish them apart from one another but you can notice subtle differences in things like Wheels, door handles. Use of steel wheel and wheel covers and unpainted matte black door handle denote the W203 you're seeing is classic trim. But when you see alloy wheels and body coloured door handle which also has chrome insert, its sports or avantgarde trim. Sports trim has slightly lowered suspensions and slightly bigger tyres. The preface lift models ran from 2002-2004

For the Facelift models which started in 2005-2007, these were changed. The sports trim of which C230 compressor, C230 sports have as standard have lowered suspensions, staggered tyres (front and rear tyres are different), different front bumpers (AMG bumpers) which have wire mesh and egg shaped foglamps, plus AMG style wheels 17", different side skirts (AMG), and rear bumpers (AMG), and a big oval exhaust. While luxury/avantgarde trim has normal suspension which is raised higher than sports, it has a more modern designed bumper with plastic louvers, and spherical shaped foglamps (different from sports trim), the side skirts and rear tells the same story.

C230kompressor, 240, 320 started life as preface lift models in 2002, and were facelifted in 2005. They were phased out in 2006 and C230 sports, C280 luxury, C350 luxury/sports took their place.

The picture you uploaded is a c240 2002-2004 preface lift avantgarde trim.
This guy knows his onions, he is simply a genius.

Unfortunately, a lot of igbos here will tear the writer down like a tiger tears it prey. Only mature igbos will see sense in this post and comment reasonably. The level of hatred or probably jealousy is too much between the igbos and yoruba not only on Nairaland but in the general public as a whole. I don't know how we got to this level of intolerance, unnecessary rivalry and enmity.
CultureRe: Yorubas, Please Help Me Translate These Words. by kernniejay(m): 8:26pm On Jul 22, 2019
StarFlux:
The thing with Yoruba numbers is that they have different forms.

For example one: oókan. If you want to say a or one trader (noun modifier) you will say: oníṣòwò kan, not oníṣòwò oókan. Same with two (eéjì) turns to méjì, as in ilé méjì - two houses.

1. Oókan
2. Eéjì
3. Ẹẹ́ta
4. Ẹẹ́rin
5. Aárùnún
6. Ẹẹ́fà
7. Eéjè
8. Ẹẹ́jọ
9. Ẹẹ́sànán
10. Ẹẹ́wàá
11. Oókànlá
12. Eéjìlá
13. Ẹẹ́tàlá
14. Ẹẹ́rìnlá
15. Aárùnúndínlógún
16. Ẹẹ́rìndínlógún
17. Ẹẹ́tàdínlógún
18. Eéjìdínlógún
19. Oókandínlógún
20. Ogún
21. Oókanlélógún
22. Eéjìlélógún
23. Ẹẹ́tálélógún
24. Ẹẹ́rìnlélógún
25. Aárùndínlọ́gbọ̀n

Etc, etc.

100. Ọgọ́rùn
200. Igba
300. Ọ̀ọ́dúnrún
400. Irinwó
500. Ẹ̀ẹ́dẹ́gbẹ̀ta

Etc, etc. But these are the traditional numbers.
There is a simplified system for all numbers, as I will show here with thousands (ẹgbẹ̀rún or ọ̀kẹ́

1000. Ẹgbẹ̀rún
2000. Ẹgbẹ̀rún méjì
3000. Ẹgbẹ̀rún mẹ́ta
4000. Ẹgbẹ̀rún mẹ́rin

100 000. Àpò ọ̀kẹ́

I'm sure you will see the logic. Using traditional numbers, it would be very hard to follow once you get really high.

1 million: Òdù kan
10 million: Ìdì òdù
1 billion: Èèrú kan
1 trillion: Ọ̀kẹ́/ẹgbẹ̀rún èèrú kan

Etc, etc.

Hopefully I didn't write any of these wrong. Also, "p" is pronounced "kp", like in ìpínlẹ̀.
You really did well.
But are you sure with these 1 million to 1 trillion?

Good morning,

I would truly appreciate it if someone could translate this sentence from Yoruba to English:

Ko ma lo sun, abi?

From my understanding, it means "You're pushing me away, right?"

What would be an appropriate response like "What is this related to?" or "Message me" in Yoruba?

Thank you!
Ko ma lo sun, abi = He/She should (not) go to sleep, right? (The reason i wrote he/she is that same expression is used for male and female, then "lo" could me "go" or "not" depending on how it sounds.
Although instructed to load the money into a military jet for transport to Abuja, the soldiers failed to do so but instead shared it among themselves and disappeared.

They reportedly dropped their rifles, uniforms and other accouterments, and mobile phones before vanishing into thin air with the money.

What would you have done?!
Would have conspired with other soldiers to kill the General and stage a false boko haram ambush to make people believe he was killed during the terrorists attack on our convoy and the unknown amount of money was taken by the terrorists in that process. Afterall, we were not supposed to know how much the money was and its purpose.

Christianity EtcRe: As Christians, How Can We Overcome Sin? by kernniejay(m):
Let's start from the root source of sin, God told Adam and Eve that the day they disobey Him, they shall surely die (Gen 2:17). However, in Gen 3:6, devil successful deceived woman and her man to disobey God, any disobedience to God's instruction is sin, that is why SIN is described as Simple Instruction Neglected. It is also written in Romans 6:23 that the wages of sin is death. Note that Adam and Eve were meant to live forever, but the day they sinned, they signed their own death warrant. As a result of Adam and Eve's disobedience, all human being that comes to this world has inherited sin from our first parents. Even a new baby that is just being given birth to today has inherited sin and become a sinner. (Psalm 51:5), nobody that comes to this world can escape that passage of sin (Hebrews 3:23). Now, because God loves man very much and He does not wish man to die forever, He does not want His masterplan for man to live forever fail, He therefore made a provision to forgive man so that sin can be erased and man can live forever with Him. To bring forgiveness, blood is required. Therefore God sent His only son Jesus in the form of flesh to die so that His blood can be used to wash away man's sins. Anyone that has accepted Jesus and obey Him will not die forever, such a person will resurrect on the last day to reign with God forever in His Kingdom. To overcome sin, one has to first believe in Jesus as true son of God, accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, develop a personal relationship with God by studying His Word which is the Bible, communicate with God everyday through prayer, identify and join a good church where children of God worship Him, ask God to give you His Holy Spirit and the Spirit of God will empower you to be able to avoid sin and overcome temptation that the devil might bring your way. Man cannot avoid sin by his own efforts as long as man still lives in this flesh, but a man that is filled with the Holy Spirit will be given power to avoid sin. For more details, please read Romance 3:23-26, Romance 6:1-23, Hebrews 10:26-29.
Thank you.
CareerRe: Please Read, Your Advice Is Needed Urgently Help A Brother by kernniejay(m): 7:22pm On Jul 20, 2019
My sincere advice is that you focus on your music talent. Chances are you may not be fortunate to be spotted by talent hunters in football. There are many people on the streets who are better players than Victor Moses, Ahmed Musa or even Lionel Messi or Christiano Ronaldo, but there was no sponsor to showcase them to the world and the best reward they probably get is to shine in their neighbourhood club, pull a crowd of admirers who could only drop few naira notes and go away with the memories of amazement you displayed. But talking about music, it is easier to make it here because you can go solo (alone) by just entering a studio to make a song, sound engineers make some editing on your recorded single, throw it to the market and watch people consume it like hotcake. Even by leading worships and praises in your local church it will expose you to other people who are talented in some other aspects of music like instrumentalists etc who will be glad to have a band with you or collaborate with you to make music albums and from there you become noticed and begin to make wave. It is easier to rise as a musician than as a footballer. Many people in Nigeria have risen as artistes more than as footballers.

Now that is a true wealthy man, he died a fulfilled person and his name will never be forgotten even by millions of people whose lives will be touched by the 33 he helped. Not like our poor politicians that think stealing billions for their unborn generation that may not even have good health to enjoy the loot, is the way to get wealth.
