OP, what skill do you have to offer the Nigerian government? I hope you are not the type that is planning to come and lazy around (resume 11 a.m and close 2p.m having done nothing) and then start crying for salary at the end of month.

I just believe the Yorubas in Lagos are more tolerant when it comes to Religion. All my years in Lagos, I never knew they was any big deal/difference between christians and muslims till I moved down North.

My extended Family (all in Lagos)has about 5 muslim women married to Christian men with their siblings automatically converting to Christians when they choose to stay at their Elder sister's house,so OP's argument using Fashola and Co is really flawed. It goes both ways actually.

Yorubas are more biased to traditional worship than the foreign Abrahamic faiths. Heck, we even have one claiming to be a ''Spiritual Atheist'' (whatever that means) here on Nairaland. Go down to Cotonou and see the Yorubas there taking their Traditional practice more serious than their Lagos neighbours. They are open dedication to shrines over there, I guess the madness of Abrahamic faiths is yet to overtake them there. Lol

Actually, the Catholic church in Nigeria does the transfer thing regularly. No prejudice here. Sometimes if the Priest (Rev.Father) has been really instrumental in the rapid growth of a Parish, they can take him to a remote part(village) to replicate same success. So do not come out with your propangada stories when you hear Mbaka has been shipped to one village in the Forest, away from any Nigerian capital city.

The whole idea is to cover the hair. The hijab does that effortlessly but it feels too religious. The classy women (Rich and sometimes 'poor ones') still cover their hair but in a fashionable way like Zahra's.

But at prayer time, I believe all female muslims do the full hijab covering thing.

All what the OP has posted is just watery argument. The only near salient point he managed to raise is the issue of STD. And even that point can easily be countered due to the fact that sex these days is rampant and basically most youths (Boyfriend + Girlfriend) are engaging in unsafe sex practices. Infact, a prostitute will absolutely demand for a condom (or provide one) eight out of ten times before sex than a girlfriend+boyfriend will.

Must it have an english name? Spaghetti, burrito, Pizza e.t.c are non english names of foods that have been accepted in English parlance. Why not just let Moi-Moi be the way it is? Must we find an english alternative name for it and diminish it's Nigerian identity?
