What of the dreams of the average street kids, who will no longer find it easy to get to a European club due to finance shortage.....impact on the national teams whose players will no longer be participating and improving their strength by playing with the toughest opponents.....

These big clubs put themselves in these nonsense positions in the first place because they wanted to buy success, by spending big and they now have to face the consequence of huge wage bills, they did not want to build like other clubs and now they want a quick escape....

In any business model, monopoly only benefits the capitalist owner and no one else and most times creates destructive environments.....and it is why monopolies are always challenged in every economy

These clubs are the pride and joy of the people of the cities who originally created them for their own viewing pleasure and pride of sportsmanship....all these big money billions have turned it into nothing but a money-spinning business, that even the original club supporters will no longer be able to access or enjoy....you will not be able to watch live matches unless your pepper rest...

This capitalist approach is the same reason why the US is not a football powerhouse because if you are poor there is little hope of you getting into a football team from the grass-root..as it requires heavy financing...unlike the rest of the world were if you have the talent...you can make it

Like a get rich quick system which condemns hardwork or due process, in this case it will be to hell with all the football teams who will never make the league.

The founding teams (12 or 15) will never be relegated irrespective of how they play.

The financial gap between elite teams and the unlucky ones will seriously affect the transfer market. Football will be all about money going forward which will breed more corruption, eliminate competition, ensure that these teams will dominate whatever is left of football going forward.

Mid table and struggling teams will have to fold up as they will only be chasing shadows.

The thrill that comes within the domestic leagues and UEFA competitions will no longer be there or here.

Yes surely, viewers will be thrilled but after 2, 3 years it becomes repetitive, no more surprises, see the finish, a money generating enterprise.

Also will it not get boring watching the same team play each other, no promotion to look forward to, no top 3, no relegation battle, just monotoniuos play. Also this wil further reduce the distribution of stars across teams....and even non ESL team will find it difficult to keep their stars as they will be easily snapped up by the extremely rich ESL teams....'
