PoliticsRe: Wike: "I Will Release Video Of Police Commissioner Plotting To Rig Elections" by Kiakia(m): 11:38pm On Nov 28, 2016
This Wike sef. A funny fellow. Why can't he release the so called video now? This is mere propaganda.
PoliticsRe: Judge Orders Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia Into The Dock by Kiakia(m): 3:46pm On Nov 28, 2016
franchizy:
Saraki and Ekwerenmadu are known looters. Justice Rita remains innocent as we all know her ordeals are mere witch hunt to silence the judiciary.

Let us learn to stand for the truth. The truth shall set her free.
That woman is unabashedly corrupt. Maybe, you do not know. NJC found her guilty of corruption allegations previously but instead of dismissing or retiring her from the bench, she was given a soft landing of non-career progression till her date of retirement. Can you imagine? Her trial for corruption is even coming late.
PoliticsRe: Judge Orders Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia Into The Dock by Kiakia(m): 3:41pm On Nov 28, 2016
franchizy:
I condemn this order. This is a big blow on our judiciary. Justice Rita under the Laws of Nigeria is entitled to self recognition.

She cant be treated like an ordinary citizen. I urge NJC and NBA to sanction justice Oshodi immediately.

Nonsense
Are you really writing seriously? I do not think so. You are probably being sarcastic, no doubt.
PoliticsRe: Ondo Election: PDP Heads To Tribunal by Kiakia(m): 3:25pm On Nov 28, 2016
A waste of time. Even election observers rated the election free and fair, devoid of any violence. PDP shot themselves in the foot when they allowed internal crisis to rob them of victory.
PhonesRe: MTN Announces Tariff Increase On Data From 1st December As Directed By NCC by Kiakia(m): 3:21pm On Nov 28, 2016
Etisalat has already increased their data tariff, but only on the 1.5 gig which now sells for N1200 instead of the previous N1000.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Sets Up Committee On Recovery Of Looted Assets by Kiakia(m): 9:26am On Nov 19, 2016
This is Jonathan's regime all over again. We are back to formation of Committees for every conceivable situation in this country. APC and PMB have lost it. Nigeria is on a free-fall to nowhere. Unfortunately, nothing is being done by the inept government to contend with the situation. The looted funds will eventually be re-looted by either the committee members or corrupt government officials.
PoliticsRe: Total Blackout Imminent As Gencos, Discos Battle N400bn Debt by Kiakia(m): 9:19am On Nov 19, 2016
Government should take over power generation and distribution from these inefficient GENCOs and DISCOs. However, threatening Nigerians with blackout is laughable. They are already used to the situation. Why do you think they call Fashola Minister of Darkness? Nigeria is a theatre of absurdities.
PoliticsRe: Buhari To Inaugurate Onnoghen As Acting CJN Today by Kiakia(m): 8:40am On Nov 10, 2016
This is the first time in the history of the judiciary in Nigeria that a CJN will be appointed in acting capacity.
PoliticsRe: Justice Ofili-ajumogobia Fail To Show Properties She Claimed Her Mother Gave Her by Kiakia(m): 8:29am On Nov 10, 2016
Blame the NJC. Instead of dismissing this very corrupt judge and delivering her for prosecution when a case of corruption was established against her, the body merely stopped her from further advancement in her career. Can you imagine?
PoliticsRe: Buhari Appoints Ejembi Eko And Amina Augie As Supreme Court justices by Kiakia(m): 12:47pm On Nov 05, 2016
Good development. Hopefully, they will resist the pressure of politicians whose stock in trade is seek avenues to tar the judiciary with the brush of corruption.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Should Forget About $29.9bn Loan & Go After Looted Funds – Femi Falana by Kiakia(m): 12:42pm On Nov 05, 2016
I subscribe to this view. Nigeria should desist from further external borrowing for whatever reason. It does the country no good.
PoliticsRe: Hunger Will Soon Vanish – Osinbajo by Kiakia(m): 12:39pm On Nov 05, 2016
Hahahahaha! What does Prof. Yemi Osinbajo know about hunger vanishing from the land? Absolutely nothing!
PoliticsRe: Wike Criticises NJC For Suspending Judges Accused Of Corruption by Kiakia(m): 12:35pm On Nov 05, 2016
Wetin concern Wike for dis matter? Even though he claims to be a lawyer, is he also a member of NJC? Or is his wife who is a Judge among those sanctioned for corrupt practices? This man should chill. He should face his troubled State and leave judicial matters in the hands of those whose duty it is to discipline errant officers.
EducationRe: How Students Are Punished In Cameroon For Coming Late To School by Kiakia(m): 12:29pm On Nov 05, 2016
DropShot:
I'm ashamed of this your post. This is 21st century and there are better ways of instilling discipline than this demeaning and reprehensible method.

I won't accept this punishment or anything close to it for my children from any school.

Modified*
No need to quote me to spew nonsense such as "how old are you?". Or "I'm sure you have no children" and "this is how our children get spoiled without disciplining them".

Just use pestle and planks on yours or throw them in oven all in the name of instilling discipline in them.

End of story.
You are spot on. This mode of punishment or instilling discipline on errant students is most barbaric and unacceptable in this day and age. There are more decent and acceptable ways of achieving the same objective.
CultureRe: Suspended Anselm Aidenojie Reconciles With Woman Whom He Allegedly Assaulted by Kiakia(m): 10:23pm On Oct 30, 2016
Oshiomhole made this happen. Kudos to him. Next, he should prevail on the new Oba of Benin to reverse all the undemocratic acts he has authorised since assumption of office. We are running a democracy and not a monarchical system of government in Nigeria. Benin is not a personal fiefdom of the young Oba to do as he likes. It is the capital of Edo State with inhabitants of all hues and shades residing thereat. Some of the orders he has given so far against the residents is unconscienable and repugnant to natural justice and good conscience. Oshiomhole cannot turn a blind eye to the infraction of people's right guaranteed by the Constitution.
PoliticsRe: Abba Kyari Not Sacked As Chief Of Staff - Presidency Source by Kiakia(m): 12:21pm On Oct 29, 2016
Does it matter? He will eventually get the boot for engaging in corrupt practices.
PoliticsRe: Amendment Of CCB/CCT Act By National Assembly Is Null & Void - Olatunde Bakare by Kiakia(m): 12:14pm On Oct 29, 2016
kcnwaigbo:
30 days is already counting!! We are left with 28 days before the NASS takes a vote to pass the amendment into law.If the president does not veto it,it automatically becomes law in 30 days time and no new vote will be needed
Meanwhile, government will go to sleep and allow this infraction to stand? That will be the day!
PoliticsRe: Amendment Of CCB/CCT Act By National Assembly Is Null & Void - Olatunde Bakare by Kiakia(m): 12:10pm On Oct 29, 2016
kcnwaigbo:
It is already done, your view is immaterial, it would become law if 2/3 of the NASS overrides any presidential veto in 30 days
As I commented elsewhere, the Act is dead on arrival and will not see the light of the day unless relevant sections of the Constitution is amended to conform with the intendments of the Act.
PoliticsRe: Amendment Of CCB/CCT Act By National Assembly Is Null & Void - Olatunde Bakare by Kiakia(m): 12:05pm On Oct 29, 2016
SillyMods:
What is written here isn't difficult to comprehend except anyone wants to be unnecessarily bias.

Simply put, the CCB Act is not independent of the Constitution since it's a creation of the Constitution. As such, any amendments to the Act must not contradict provisions of the Constitution. Any such amendment that runs contrary to constitutional provisions of the Act is NULL AND VOID.

Understood?
grin
Tell them. Maybe, they are yet to comprehend the purport of the Post.
PoliticsRe: Amendment Of CCB/CCT Act By National Assembly Is Null & Void - Olatunde Bakare by Kiakia(m): 12:01pm On Oct 29, 2016
SuperS1Panther:
Why did our legislooters amend CCT Act in unison, but they have never acted in the same manner and with the same speed in the amendment of our faulty constitution?

Corruption simply unites politicians of all ethnicities and religions.
You hit the bull's eye with this comment!
PoliticsRe: Amendment Of CCB/CCT Act By National Assembly Is Null & Void - Olatunde Bakare by Kiakia(m): 11:56am On Oct 29, 2016
MadamExcellency:
INEC did not just come into existence by virtue of the INEC Act but by the provisions of the 1999 Constitution.

Why is INEC operating with amended Electoral laws passed by NASS without endorsement from 2/3 of Nigerian States before implementation?
Electoral Act is just what it is, an Electoral Act and not INEC Act. The Act is majorly geared towards proper conduct of elections and the guidelines for conducting same and did not delve into the establishment of INEC by the Constitution. This is what the dubious amendment of the CCB/CCT Act did and thus is inconsistent with Provisions of the Constitution establishing the body.

When the NASS overrides the president's veto and pass it into law,Hope you won't commit suicide
Did you read the Post? There is nothing to over-ride. The President will not touch the Bill even with a long pole. The Act is dead on arrival!
PoliticsRe: Amendment Of CCB/CCT Act By National Assembly Is Null & Void - Olatunde Bakare by Kiakia(m): 11:43am On Oct 29, 2016
JBUZZ:
Thanks for bringing it up. We shall amend the constitution of the Federal Republic accordingly to ensure concurrence grin
Amending the Constutution is not a day's job. It is a cumbersome process. NASS wasted their time in thinking that they can superimpose an Act over the Constitution.
PoliticsRe: Amendment Of CCB/CCT Act By National Assembly Is Null & Void - Olatunde Bakare by Kiakia(m): 11:40am On Oct 29, 2016
The author of this post is correct in his summation. The amendment of the CCB/CCT Act by the National Assembly is null and void and of no effect whatsoever, same being inconsistent with provisions of the Constitution on the issue. Relevant sections of the Constitution has to be amended for this self-serving Act to stand. Thus, the NASS people wasted precious time debating the amendment when other important bills that will impact on the well-being of Nigerians are left unattended. Brainless and selfish lot!
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Economic Policies Not Working –MAN, NLC, TUC, Others by Kiakia(m): 10:35am On Oct 22, 2016
fitzmayowa:
No economic blueprint, companies laying off staff, companies folding up, inflation rate is on a rise, unemployment is on the rise, no job recreation and to cap it all our dear President doesn't seem to be bothered about all this...

I guess directionlessness is an hallmark of this administration...SMH
There is no economic blueprint actually. This government has no direction and the President appears aloof, content only in junketing from one country to the other while the country 'burns'. It is an unfortunate situation that Nigeria and Nigerians have found themselves in. Quite pathetic!

this is what happens when you vote in a man who never bothered to improve himself in anyway for over 30 years but aspired to 'rule' over 'subjects'.

you can't give what you do not have.

I only pray that come 2019, Nigerians options will not be limited to two evils...
PMB does not have a programme for the betterment of Nigerians and resuscitation of the economy. His sole ambition was to win the Presidential election and this he has achieved after three attempts. Nothing more matters.
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Economic Policies Not Working –MAN, NLC, TUC, Others by Kiakia(m): 10:26am On Oct 22, 2016

Bigger worry is: President Buhari may not even understand that his administration's economic policies are not working.
Or maybe, he does not even understand the economy policy in place at the moment.
PoliticsRe: NJC Disagrees With NBA, Says Won’t Suspend Nor Ask Accused Judges To Step Down by Kiakia(m): 10:18am On Oct 22, 2016
ganye1:
As usual they are using technicalities to avoid doing the right thing. It is weird for a judge facing such weighty allegations of corruption to continue presiding over cases. Decency demands that they step aside until they clear their named.
As a matter of fact, it is bizzare! NBA is right in this regard. Those Judges should do the honourable thing and step aside in the interim pending conclusion of the case against them.
PoliticsRe: President Buhari Departs For Germany (Photos) by Kiakia(m): 2:00pm On Oct 13, 2016
PMB vied for, and won the Presidency just for the purpose of equalling or even surpassing Obasanjo's travel record when he was the President. He has no programme for economic progress of the country and is, at best, leading a directionless government. He ain't done travelling yet! With almost two years into his tenure, Buhari has so far left Nigeria worse than he met it!
PoliticsRe: Vote APGA In 2019 And Rice Will Become N9000 - Anambra Gov., Obiano by Kiakia(m): 1:30pm On Sep 21, 2016
2019 is still far. I hope Obiano is not campaigning already. By that year, the price of rice may crash to N10,000 a bag or less. It is possible!

BusinessRe: Recession: Senate Tables 14-point Roadmap To Turn Around Economy by Kiakia(m): 1:12pm On Sep 21, 2016
Does this 14-Point Road Map include reduction in the bogus salary and allowances, including other numerous perks of the legislators? Of course, it does not. National Assembly is part of the problems of this country.
