From Chris Pell, IELTS ADVANTAGE etrange: Pros and Cons of Computer Based IELTS
"The computer-based IELTS test is becoming more and more common.
As you can see, there are many factors to consider but the most important thing is this: choosing to do the test on a computer does NOT make it easier. If you’ve taken the IELTS exam multiple times and keep failing to get the score you need, it is NOT because you didn’t take the computer-based test. It’s likely that there are serious problems with your reading, listening, writing, speaking or exam skills that need to be addressed.
What’s worse is that you might not even know what they are!" |

Nne can you give us a reason? SkyWalk12: Forgive me if any of you have tried this but, if you’ve written IELTS more than 3 times without getting your desired score, kindly consider booking your next test out of state. Especially if you’ve been writing in Lagos. Book your next test in a location that’s not Lagos. I have zero proof, but I think it’ll help. |

Very True. einsteino: Hello all,
Been a while. To those of you who work in very organised firms with clearly laid out process for obtaining Reference letters(common with banks) , try as much as possible to avoid having your supervisors sign your work reference letters for you, the convenience you seek could be short lived. I now know of two people( both in the banking sector) who have ran into trouble for this, one of them was for Canada PR and another for Australia PR.
The issue is, when the VO wants to verify such letters, what they do is contact HR directly rather than the supervisor who signed the letter, and HR simply replies saying it didnt come from them. HR even went a step further to issue query to the employee for circumventing due process. If you work in a bank, if your supervisor is to write a reference letter for you, it might be safer for it be on plain paper not your firm's letter head. Or better still contact HR... Its not funny watching both your PR and your Job hanging |

Conflicting information where? on this thread? nahhh.... send Your Msc alone. the higher the degree, the higher your points Sparklezzzzz: Hello, is it still okay to send only MSc transcript (which is the highest level of education) to WES for verification? Or must the Bachelors transcript also be sent for verification to WES? I've seen lots of conflicting information on this and just want to be sure of the current requirement. A link to the current requirement will also be highly appreciated. Thanks. |
