hollandis: I will never marry a nigerian,so nothing can possibly go through my mindHow on earth is this pertinent, ni tori Oloun? |
solaniyi86: Weldone Dr Fayemi. You have really tried. Very unlike the hegoat we have in sunshine state.Seriously? Because of some lousy LGA creation, Fayemi is better than Mimiko?! |
springtime2: I am in a dilemma that I need mature advice on. I have been dating this guy for over a yr and been engaged for a month. He is the complete opposite of me, very quiet and shy. But I feel like we balance each other out. I am very happy with the all aspect of relationship except bedroom active. We do not have sex.ual chemistry at all. I have complaint to him many times. I am not satisfy at all. I don't like the way he fore.play, I don't like some of the positions. He just gives up easily. I am very adventurous and he is very timid, he said he will do but never do. But one thing I will give him is he has a lot of stamina and can go 60-90 minutes at a time.Go clubbing, introduce him to either of these men - Johnny Walker, or Jack Daniels. Watch his consumption rate though, so they don't achieve the opposite effect and he falls asleep. |
neuljosh: 4. Bizarre Greeting CultureI've promised myself that if I'm able to teach my children nothing else, I'll definitely teach them how to respect not just elders, but everyone. Oyinboo peeps sef like am. I remember my mom once worked with a German who had to bring his son to Nigeria because the boy told him to F off (at thirteen!) |
donhils: Why is it that whenever it comes to saying why ios beats android as a work tool you guys always choose to keep it to ur selves? I bet it's because you really can't say why. you just say beliv me I know why....Okay. One, my iPhone never hangs. That happens from time to time with my samsung. I have no patience for phones that don't move as fast as my fingers. Two, I store several files on my phone and it's far easier for me to put them into labelled folders on iOS than android. The android has all these silly widgets and rubbish that you can't just put into a folder and forget about. Infact, I had to download another theme just to manage them. I'll include more reasons when I remember because I got rid of the samsung for a Q5 which I seem to be enjoying as much as the iOS now sef. What I hate about the iphone, funny enough, is what I liked about the samsung - the ease of downloading songs. |
ProfGday: Anyone frm Teachers Education shld pls tell me d total fee we are paying pls.No idea, but I'd like to point out that there are still a number of steps before you get to generate an invoice for schl fees payment. For now, all you need is 20,000 for acceptance fee, and your documents for Clearance. The school fees for my department was 111,850 and I hear that's the general range for most departments, give or take 10/20k. |
Hello guys. Please does anyone know how to check what courses to register? I'm at that point now and there are several courses from all the departments listed. How do I know the ones to select for my department? |
Fear of losing my body after childbirth. Fear of not being a good mother. . . Children these days have atrocious manners. Fear of divorce Fear that we'll become a staid couple who are bored with themselves and cheat on each other at every turn. Worst of all: fear of having a homosexual child. |
God bless Fashola! This is A LEADER! |
jaxxy: I notice dat most iphone users r blind followers and dey don't even knw y dey really buy it nor do dey us up 2 50% of d phones capabilityFirst, in this context, it's FILLING, not FEELING. Second, I absolutely agree with you. Samsung is filling a void. Two, actually - cost, and the convenience of a double sim phone. Third, NO, I am not a blind follower. I'm not a teen whose only use for phones is instagram and other social media. My phone is a work tool for me, and I know what I mean when I say the iOS beats the Android. |
I had one just like the one with the doll in the ball gown on top for my fifth birthday and I remember not wanting it to be cut, and after my mom insisted, I wanted to eat the doll but it wasn't edible. I hope these make a beautiful memory for the children you make them for someday. |
Story. IPhone anyday. No be by size of mini TV abeg. |
hardygoon: @All, can the school fee be paid at bank branches outside UI'sYep. It says so on the invoice. Print it, and take it with you, because the bank staff will need some info from it. |
Donmarshal11: Am also in Lagos. Pls can we pay acceptance fee from outside UI ?No, you have to pay it inside UI. |
Cuchullin: I just received this. Please what should I do next?Assuming that's your recommendation email, you should got to the UI PG website, and try to generate an invoice to pay your acceptance fee, after which you can upload the soft copies of your documents. Then, wait for your admission letter. |
yousee: I am totally in support of corporal punishment. This is super, and I'll certainly keep it in mind for when I have children. I'm all for punishment. I did not do a lot of things as a child for one simple reason: Mommy will beat me. This, as far as I'm concerned is as good as, "it's wrong, and I shouldn't do it". This is because I understood that Mommy only caned me when I was wrong. Re broken bottles and other "weapons", there's a difference between punishment and torture. The sane parent should know where to draw the line. |
angela98: Hmm it will be same poor battery life which is associated with all smart phone. I won't buy it, I Dont like the design. The screen is too small for me. I love phablet phones with 5.5" screen. It makes browsing enjoyable..Then you should try using a Q5, re battery. It's the best one I've ever used. This is the first phone I've ever used that has never gone off from a weak battery. |
This is for those who have their recommendation email but not admission letter yet. I got my rec email on 20th May, paid my acceptance fee and uploaded my docs within two weeks of receiving the email, but my admission letter just came in on Monday. If you're certain you've been recommended, don't worry, other documents will follow. |
TRADELYN: Thanks for sharing!Thank you. I think it's about 1500, and I recommend it (also Sebamed, this has its pH written clearly on the pack) because I'm certain it isn't one of the perfumed ones that have all kinds of weird effects after some time. |
As a rule, intimate washes are not required for everyday use unless the lady is suffering from, or recovering from a yeast infection or something related. The reason being that the vag should be acidic under normal circumstances. If it isn't acidic, it encourages the growth of organisms which then result in the common vag infections with the symptoms of itching/smelling/white or colored discharges. Why wld the vag not be acidic? Antibiotic use, among other reasons. One should keep in mind that the intimate wash products are not treatment, more of prevention. And for God's saken let's avoid the perfumed ones, those are more cosmetic and are no help. A good choice, by the way, is Lactacyd. |
Breathe on me, Breath of God. Fill me with life anew That I may walk as thou dost walk And do as thou wouldst do. Breathe on me, Breath of God, Until my heart is pure, Until with thee, I will one will To do, and to endure. AND Thine for ever, God of love Hear us from thy throne above Thine forever, may we be Here and in eternity. It's a toss up between these two hymns which one is my favourite. I really, really love hymns. |
*rolling my cute eyes* Foreign authors it is then. Btw, the answer to the last one, is Cyprian Ekwensi, the book title is People of the city. So, here's another then: 1. Author's def not African, but he's written about us on occasion. 2. This author was mentioned earlier in the thread, several pages behind. 3. The book is about a guy who went to jail as a result of the scheming of others, then he got lucky after meeting a look alike of his in jail. I've put up this obvious last clue because, even though the author is very popular, I'm not sure this particular book is. |
amieesuccess: Things fall apart by Chinua Achebe.Absolutely. Here's another then: 1. Author's African. 2. Story is set in early sixties. 3. Focus of the story is on the lifestyle of people of the city. If you've ever heard about this book without even reading it, you'd catch on immediately. |
FYI all.
|
Wish this thread was still alive . . On the off chance someone might see my riddle, here it is: 1. Author is not American, and late. 2. The book is legendary, even in academic circles. 3. Main character is a man who spends his life afraid of one emotion, which he eventually succumbed to. This is actually a well known book, but I don't want to put up clearer clues. |
omonnakoda: An Arab diplomat visiting the U.S. for the first time was being wined and dined by the State Department. The Grand Emir was unused to the salt in American foods (french fries, cheeses, salami, anchovies etc.) and was constantly sending his manservant Abdul to fetch him a glass of water. Time and again, Abdul would scamper off and return with a glass of water, but then came the time when he returned empty-handed. Abdul, you son of an ugly camel, where is my water? demanded the Grand Emir. A thousand pardons, O Illustrious One, stammered the wretched Abdul, white man sit on well.' Lmfaoooooo!!!!!!!! |
I'm all for the conversation too! Got whatsapp? |
i'm strong believer in "to each his own", but this is one decision i am certain you will regret. it may seem like a great idea to have the child now n do away with the mother, but have you thought of how the child will grow, and what he'll become as an adult? infact, leave d child first, and let's face u, the parent. u are probably in ur prime now, and have lots of women around you, so u can't foresee the future in this path u hav decided to take. if u live outside the country, take a visit to any nursing home, n make the effort to talk to any of their sane residents, they will tell u to find someone u can grow old with. Think about it, how did u treat ur own grandparents? U went out for drinks n then hit the clubs? No, u probably visited them out of a sense of duty, not because u WANTED to. My point, is that nothing can ever take the place of another human being, one u care about, respect, n can talk to (all that falling in love crap is overrated, btw). There's ds pic I once saw on bbm, about true love being grandma n grandpa who grew old together, not Romeo/Juliet who died together. Sex drive fades (look at Hugh Hefner, for instance, all sorts of girls come thru the mansion, but whom does he go to? His secretary, who's only a few yrs younger), a career will go away no matter how long u try to hold onto it, money may stay, but there r ppl u buy, n those that truly care. Evn Tuface is marrying his girl that I thot ws jonzing before. Think harder o oga. |
Lagusta: u canalso go to asa dam, by the lake.U already got all the best suggestions . . I serve in Ilrn, n it was quite boring at first. All the above places r good. But everyone left out Orient, at GRA. Chinese restaurant during the day, club with the baddest dj at night. The shoprite on Fate road is looking close to completion, and u can also go to the metro park at Unity, it's quite run down though, but u sound like a couple in love, n that lights up anywhere. There's the museum too, same issue as the park. Also u can try bekadims, at Tanke. It's usually filled with uni students, so dat might be fun. U can visit the stadium on Taiwo rd too. I know it sounds like slim pickings, but Ilorin no bad at all |
I don't know how true this is, but I do know that it's not impossible. Only difference is that it probably didn't happen exactly how it was posted here. My neighbour once got stuck in the air, because the pilot wasn't given leave to land at MMIA. It was a flight from P/H. Reason: GEJ was in town for Bode George's welcome back carnival. They kept flying around for close to an hour, before they were allowed to land. So for those who are insulting the people who believe this Patience Jona's story, you really, really don't know how things work in Nigeria. |
Lwkmd @ these women who don't think they need to learn to cook/waiting for a man who knows how to cook. Surprise go catch u. How many of u can change simple light bulbs? Or correct minor plumbing issues? My brother cannot boil water, but he's able to repair electronics, n sort out leaky pipes. These have nothing to do with his profession, by the way. I said it before, I will say it again to these women. THERE IS A THIN LINE BETWEEN INDEPENDENT 21ST CENTURY WOMAN AND BITTER DIVORCEE. |
A number of things . . But nairaland isn't the place for her. If she's been bleeding nonstop for an entire month, she shd get to an Obstetrician immediately. Anyways, here r a number of possible causes Fibroid, hormonal issues, ectopic pregnancy, botched abortion etc |
