I can testify to ori - my baby had rashes and I was a bit bothered. After they said it was ella that was disturbing her, i put her on agbo and ori. when we stopped the agbo treatment, i stuck to ori and duduosun soap,. it took a while before i noticed that her skin had changed. it now shines, is smooth and lovely to see. So you could also try that. but first take her to the local yoruba women who sell all these natural herbs first to see if there is anything worng with her skin beofre attempting anything. We need to be wise when it comes to our babies. It took me a while to agree for mine, but I am glad I had tried other options medically first before this one. and it worked. so i would advise you seek counsel medically and locally before using any cream. I had a trusted family friend's mother who helped me for my child and i had her helping me to do the treatment and monitor her. thats also another option. It is well. GOD will direct you to make the right decision.
Pls sorry for my stupid question. Abeg no vex
Pls who are these women?
Are they the women dressed in white and walk round the market place?

mutter:
If your body aches from house chores with just one kid then obviously you are not in good condition. That is probably because you are not used to hard work or doing any form of sports.
I assume that you are still young so this should not be a problem for you. If you love your husband you would do these chores happily to please him and build your home, your kids would be happy and learn from you.
Women do so much more for their families and still keep a full time job. That is why mothers are indeed supreme and worthy of respect. This is the same here and everywhere in the world.
Getting a househelp is an option but is she not a human being too? She also knows what body pain is?
If you want your husband to help you then you need to know how to ask for help and mostly how to show appreciation for the help. When you want something specific plead with him to help you. -"Darling please can you help me fetch two buckets of water, my waist is paining me?" When he does it show appreciation and joy. Most men would help even if they do it reluctantly.
Those women that get help from their men know how they got their men to help them.
You haven`t learnt how to ask.
Also it is not for you to question your husband`s use of his phone. Would you rather have him going out and leaving you alone in the house. You ought to be happy that he is at home with you.
Just train your kid`s well and in a few years the work will reduce for you.

@OP:

Are you a SHM or do you contribute to the finances at home?

There is a school of thought that wives should be 100% responsible for house chores and husbands 100% responsible for funding the home. What school of thought is your husband?

Your response will let you know if

1. You need to change your mode of communication as regards the chores
2. You need to re-arrange your timetable/get people to do some things for you

You need to decide quickly... In the grand scheme of things, the chores are not so important and they are recurring (i.e. never ending). You need to be relaxed enough to spend time with hubby and baby.
Hahahahahhahahahhahaa

Buka Buka, husband's funding in this case of extreme manual labour will include cook, maid and abo.kis' (to carry water from the ground floor to their flat) salaries ooooo

But seriously, in this case, I am not sure the husband can afford all that else they won't be fetching water from ground floor to their skycraper, so it won't work in this case. She has also diccussed severally with the husband, yet he won't help. Wetin she wan talk again? She is going to break down very soon before the husband will realize he needs to take action. So my advice is hinged on that. Rather than wait to truly break down, why don't she "Omotola" or "Genevieve" the sickness before it happens true true lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

OP, in matters like this, learn to understand the true intentions behind the gift.

Would you say her true motive is to get competitive with you or she just feels she should reciprocate your kind gesture by giving you something similar to what you bought for her??

In my head, I am thinking she buys you same gifts cuz she feels the gifts you give her must be precious to you, hence you would appreciate it if she gets you something close. Now what is the problem with that angry

As long as she means well, I am not sure why you are bothered. I would say need to to work on yourelf first, it's all in your head.

On a related note, from my little profiling of your person, I think you should go for somebody from a lower class than yourself. If your lady is an achiever, it would bother you much more than this. You are somewhat choleric. I may be wrong lipsrsealed

mutter:
I think you overreacted by giving her the car in the first place.
A girl who can afford a car was not in need of your car.
If she is well mannered and from a cultured home she should not have accepted that gift
. Such gifts are not given without strings attached. Now you have the problem that the circle is being continued.
It is a great gift but then you should have waited till you are at least engaged. The gift was just not appropriate at that stage.
Please for her next birthday give a her something romantic.

Pls fellow Moms in d house, can I use Vegas cream sold by d yoruba herb sellers on my baby skin? Hw do I achieve a smooth, flawless complexion for my little girl? She is fair like me. But her skin is not glowing. She is 7 months old.
Pls let your child be. I am no sure what you meant by her skin is not glowing. Is she having any form of rashes? Even though she is fair like you, she is not you and she probably doesn't have your color shade...

Pls don't put yourself or your daughter under any undue pressure of making her look like a mini you. Don't start looking for funny creams to apply on her skin, it might just backfire.

As parents, we often make that mistake of trying to enact our lives in our children's lives. It's not right.

God bless

1 and 2. 4 is neither here nor there

Loving - yes, he loved his children to death

Disciplinarian - You can say that again, his house, his rules. He taught me first how to defy societal norms. I didn't even realize I was watching and learning then.

Religious - neither here nor there. He was an ECN christain - goes to church only on Easter Sunday, Christmas and New Year but God help that kid that is late for mass on Sunday.

Very funny thread as are most threads on Feminism on NL cheesy

One thing though; I don't get the relationship between a woman accepting her husband is the head of the home =cheating husband?

Na wa for some kain generalisations on NL undecided

I know feminism is about giving women the CHOICE to do what they want and what I cant stand on NL is when one set of women feel they are better or more 'intellectual' than the other because that woman believes or has a different set of ideals.

All these feminist/non feminist women squabbles are highly unnecessary in my own opinion undecided

If you are Feminist - Good for you stop attacking women who might have different ideals

If you are a non- feminist- Also good just stop throwing 'shades'( I learnt that word on NL grin) at those who believe that they are.

For the men if you hate feminists don't marry one ( to be honest there are more non feminist women in Nigeria than there are feminist so a larger pool to choose from wink grin) Forget NL the no of women who want to actually want challenge the status quo is negligible.

For those who think being a Feminist means you always have to see things from anti- male angle Ok o God will help you. And for the males also who see any woman who refuses to be maltreated or treated unjustly just because she is a woman as a Feminist may God help you too.

I understand how the system operates and I know they will need time to settle down, but my own problem with buhari has been his inaction in appointing key officials ,I don't expect him to change the nation in 3months but by now we should have an sfg, hos, and have the ministerial list, by not making these key decisions early ,it has given ppl the impression that buhari isn't prepared . And as the old adage goes “first impression lasts longer”,the impression and image nigerians have about buhari is that of a old sluggish man. He needs to buckle up and prove ppl wrong.
Remember this fanta advert - "perception is nothing, taste is everything" smiley

First impressions are hardly right impressions

all these sermons won't pacify nigerians by the end of 3months and if the situation remains the same,it is better we all tell buhari to stop sleep walking and start getting things done. Nigerians don't know the meaning of patience and they take ur every promise u make very seriously. It is Better u wake buhari up
Till 3 months then...

I am not down with the 100days rubbish too. Who wants abracadabra in 100 days and zero achievement in 4 years? If a model is not working for us, then let's change it.

We need to get it right now, so he should take his time.

Yar Adua was called Baba Go-Slow, yet he was more effective in his short rule that Jonathan who spent 7 years.

So Baba never had his strategy all these while? So how did he come up with ridiculous promises when he hasn't don't proper analysis and studies nor have any strategic plan? With a nation that nearly went under, you would take your time to fix it. We don't want a rush-rush job. Things got too bad under Jonathan
