the problem I have with that is the bones occupy too much space in the pot for so i prefer to debone before cooking but it is so manual, difficult and tiring I wish I had tool or method to make it easy

Give her ultimatum to stop addressing him in such manners if necessary.
And Mean it too.
If she won't stop, then he would know he's given her fair warning on what to expect if she continues.
He knows the lady, anything he can do to get her to stop is better in my opinion than swallowing hurtful words and boiling on the inside.

The above is a process, and realistically speaking, I don't expect her to stop in a day. Old habits die hard. So while the resolution is still a work-in-progress, what should he do anytime she nags?

My advice again - nagging will not kill him. Rather than hit her back, he should learn to ignore. Concurrently, he should address the root of the problem. He needs to take charge of his home, it is his family. He should either help her to look for a job or establish her in business. He needs to first address the root cause of the problem before thinking of seperation. Will he leave his kids with her or keep them? And if he keeps them, how will he take care of kids coupled with his job.

His wife's case is not irredeemable yet, he should just take charge of his home.
