Some days ago, the whole nation was shaken by the sudden demise of a gospel minister and social media was suddenly flooded with stories, pictures and videos of men netting out violence towards women.
As a husband, a brother, a son and a father, I strongly condemn violence of any kind be it, violence against a tribe, a religion, a sovereign country, a gender or age group or race and I speak very strongly against such.
But in recent times I have come to ask myself some questions and carried out research only to find out that a lot of men go through a lot of challenges, violence and acts which is swept under the carpet.
Like I stated earlier, I’m totally against ALL forms of violence towards all gender; But it seems these violence against women advocates are getting it loop-sided.

Folks in Nigeria and outside the country are getting this whole thing wrongly mixed up. Most times, even the male are the ones who are abused emotionally, mentally and psychologically.
When you see most men walking down the street, they are in deep thoughts of how to make up for their families, spouses, children etc.
They go out face all sort of risks, come back and instead of being appreciated, they face abusive wives who compares them to their richer well to do neighbours or family members. As a result of these constant issues, the men become unsettled and desperate most times, to even top it up, when the man is about to leave home for his daily work/livelihood, his wife will stand up and block his door, screaming at her voice, pointing towards him and even dragging his clothes because the man didn’t have enough to give her.
At times, these women even go the extreme lengths of tearing his clothes, dousing him with water or oil or soup, and beating him up or slapping him
I am not making this up, It happens. We have stories of men murdered in cold blood by their spouses/partners and at the end of the day, everybody goes quiet.
As a human being, I strongly speak against any form of human violence against anybody be it a woman, man or a child. The society who raised dust and cried about violence netted out towards women and children will hush all men and down play these atrocities committed against male folks telling them to be strong to man up and not to complain.
We have all sorts of organizations and societies speaking and working against gender based violence. Let’s ask ourselves, which gender are they protecting 80% of the time?
Female gender!!
Where then is the equality which these organizations and societies speak of?
The male gender is left out in the cold to suffer left out in the dark to be battered by storms of life.
Most times a male folk graduate from school as a high flyer, a female graduate mid class or lower class but most times, the female is more likely to get the job if both applies to same position in same organization.
I think it’s time for male folks to stand up and speak against violence targeted towards us lest we become endangered species in the nearest future.

Go for the Honda Pilot.

You have mechanics and parts scattered everywhere and they’re not a nightmare to fix. They have cheap parts compared to the others and also are very reliable compared to the others. They have very good interior spaces and handles the road very well. They have decent fuel economy and have very impressive crash tests scores (they’re very safe)

It is the engine oil (and oil filter) used that determines OCI, not an engine type. Any engine can run extended OCIs provided the right engine oil is used, in this case, M1 Extended Performance.

An engine can determine that in most case. FYI, 1MZ-FE and 3MZ-FE has high tendencies to sludge due to their PCV design.

Your vehicle needs 5W30 engine oil and, IMO, it might be unnecessary to ask the previous owner what he used. Simply buy an available and good engine oil, that meets that rating and run your change.

Oil change interval is 6 months or 5k miles, whichever is first.

However, you could extend that to 20k miles or a year , whichever is first with fluids such as M1 extended performance (with an accompanying filter for that purpose or you change filters halfway through).

What is the situations of:

1. The coolant reservoir. What is there?
2. How does the tranny fluid look like?
3. The power steering fluid?
4. The spark plugs, coils, throttle body, engine air filter and MAF?

Most Nigerian used vehicles are deficient in this regard, hence this checklist.

Tune up the vehicle, run your fluid changes, and you're sure to enjoy many years of pleasurable, reliable luxury.

Pls, this is highly discouraged. Don’t advice people to run extended OCI on engines which weren’t designed to run such.

Call it whatever you like, but I know this. Modern cars even a small lowly Yaris electrical component isn’t designed to be bypassed let alone a more complex German car with a dozen of modules monitoring and controlling stuffs. Know this and know peace.

My car is fixed. It was a simple security issue. My electrician just bypassed a wire, told me my front Sam is very good and no need to change a thing. Car drives like wizard.

Na so them dey start till the whole electrical system goes haywire or shut down completely leaving you stranded, high and dry or even worse still cause an electrical fire which will make you lose that car.

It’s my mums car. She changed oil and filter as advised by her mechanic. As for fuel pump, she changed it because the car stopped on the road, she called her mechanic and he said it’s fuel pump and changed it and next day, maintenance required light has been blinking once she starts the car.

Do not be sarcastic because if I knew, I would not be here asking.

Turn on the ignition to allow all the instrument panel lift come on, then locate the odometer toggle button and toggle it till Trip A, keep the button pressed down turn off the ignition and then turn on the ignition whilst still holding the odometer button. You should notice series of dashes (- - - - - -) on the odometer when it clears, the odometer should go to (0 0 0 0 0 ) then return the mileage display. This shows you’ve reset the maintenance required warning.
