The code is below Get a spacer. It works. I've installed them on a good number of lexus and toyota. Absence of cats doesn't necessarily relates to increased fuel consumption in toyotas some lexus (yours inclusive). In toyota and lexus, its purely for emissions purposes. |

Balistic4: I get 15mpg or less in my 2010 es350 but I noticed that what greatly affect it is my driving style and driving terrain. If I drive short distances in a bad road, it gets as bad as 11mpg. If I drive long distances in a good road, it gets up to 22mpg. Not sure what causes this. My catalyst has been removed, not sure if it is the cause, though I strongly believe that the cat is not the cause and that it is normal, but since I have not been able to clear cat and o2 sensor related codes since the removal, I am considering putting it back Driving short distance does no good to modern cars. From cold start, your engine ECM is in open loop, the ECT sensors and AF sensors informs your ECM of this which then the ECM commands the injectors to pour in more fuel into the combustion chambers to quickly bring your engine to operating optimal temperature and once this threshold is reached, the ECM goes into closed loop thus making your car operate at the best power and economy it can provide safely. Since you drive short distances, your car will keep taking more fuel. I'd also advise you perform some tune ups to help. |

Akinfrank: I have the 2009 V6 3.3l Hyundai sonata and it has been making a rattling sound for about 3 seconds at first start up only, some say it's the timing chain/tensioner, last week it would drive smooth and cut out and sometimes refuse to restart until a few minutes have passed, took it to get checked and it had code for crankshaft position sensor, had that replaced with a new one (not a Hyundai made as the Hyundai office in Lagos said they didn't have it, a friend bought it for me at ladipo) replaced but the problem still persisted. Took it back again and it had code for camshaft position sensor, had those replaced ( also new) and the random engine cutouts stopped but the car started shaking if on Drive and not moving, and it also didn't respond quickly when the accelerator pedal was depressed, it'd increase rpm but not increase speed accordingly/respond fast enough, the running was rough and this was new. Took it back again and it was showing P0335, the mech said it has probably jumped timing( at this point the mechanic was already getting frustrated), drove it back home and parked it, and it won't restart, cranks but will not start, do you think it's the timing chain? If it is, can you recommend a good brand and where to buy? I need to fix the car and I don't know what mechanic or electrician to trust anymore, these sensors and other things I bought which appeared to be guesses from technicians I visited already cost me over 120k, I've been to three mechanics/rewire, the first mechanic Even had me buy a new fuel pump. I need your advice on what to do and maybe a recommendation about a good mechanic/rewire based in Akure Check wiring going to crankshaft sensor for continuity, check if the Pulsator ring is intact and not damaged or bent, if these are intact, check ECM. |

PotatoSalad: Hian. Paid ke. You Nigerians sabi talk anyhow sha. Follow the tips i dropped and you won't have any issues. I've seen Hisense and even LG freezers fail within few years of purchase too. If you don't have steady light and your freezer gets flooded after each defrost and you don't remove the water, the excess water will flow into drain container when you remove drain plug that's inside the freezer and drain knob for water outlet will get lose overtime, causing water to leak under the fridge and cause rust. Moisture on the outside of a freezer na rust magnet. Trash If you don't have sensible thing to say, be quiet. I did carry out a survey and alot of new thermocool had similar defects. Now you're gonna say it's still power supply that made the compressor fail in a little less than a year of purchase. FYI, where I stayed in Uyo I enjoyed almost 19hr constant power supply and its not low voltage. |

Asquare84: It better you repair the car, SBC cost 160 k in Abuja. It not only a Mercedes problem, even Toyota Corolla have abs failure too. SBC has a higher failure rates because it's got a lifespan which depletes by each press of the brake (200k -500k presses). Toyota corolla ABS do not have lifespan and doesn't fail if there's no underlying electrical problem. |

PotatoSalad: [s]Nothing wrong with Thermocool. If you see the way some Nigerians use their freezers/fridges ehn, your heart will skip a beat.
About the rust problem. It is caused by power outages. When your Freezer starts to defrost, water pools up in the botton, and you're expected to remove the drain plug to let the water go into the drain compartment. Then remove the drain knob in the front side of the fridge, it's at the middle beside the thermostat control. Use a drain pipe to remove the excess water. It's when the excess water isn't removed asap, it tends to overflow and cause rust. Normally, you don't have to do all these if you have constant light cos the freezer does the job automatically by evaporating the excess water. I find Thermocool products more reliable (when you use them well).
Also, if you just bought a fridge or freezer and it was tilted many times while moving it, don't be in a hurry to turn it on. Let it sit for 24 hours at least so that the refrigerant can settle[/s]. Are you paid to come dispute the experience using thermocool? All these talks does NOT change the fact that Thermocool's quality has dropped considerably, they're living based on past glory and other competitors have caught up or even surpassed them. FYI, the Hisense I bought after the nonsense thermocool debacle serves me and has not a single rust spot since I started using it. |

Abagworo: Ibadan is the 2nd largest city in landmass after Lagos but the largest contiguous housing development is Igbo heartland comprising Owerri to Onitsha and Awka. It is way bigger than Lagos but cannot be considered one city except a new constitution is drafted merging and recognizing them as one city .
Besides the Igbo heartland sprawl there is another sprawl around Nsukka that is the size of Port Harcourt which could be recognized as a single city. Is this a recent development? |

Ibadan Urban is less than 800km square. Go bck to geography class and get basics on map reading abd the definition of urban settlement. You illiterate.
And urban setting is usually a built up area. It's basic A little googling would had helped you off this embarrassing situation. Physical attributes are not the only reason to label a place an urban area. Population of over 20,000 people, administrative, economic and legal considerations are also important factors in labeling a place an urban centre. This is just the basic for Urban planning definition. |

Workch: if I add thr forests in Ibadan, are you going to be happy? Built up areas are different by definition from Urban areas. An Urban area may be so called due to administrative, spatial, physical (infrastructural), population or economic reasons. A built up area is so called because of the level physical of development (physical ans infrastructural). Know this and know peace. |

Workch: If you like be minister of housing, Ibadan urban from the map is not up to 3080km.
Maybe, combining the forests in other parts of the smaller local government can mke it that size. Let's do argue thr obvious.
If we are going by your definitions, do you think thay Kano city will not be larger, you want us to add forests and deserts?
Going by your difinition, Onitsha will be way larger than Ibadan.
