Check the picture well. Check towards your right. Look at that woman leaning on a long walking stick. She puts on the traditional Igbo dress.
Anybody can be found wearing that type of dress in the SE/SS/NC area. There is nothing in the picture that concretely shows it is Igbo land.

funny they have senators in the house of assembly, they didnt challenge them to raise biafra motion at the house.
But dumb people want buhari to just wake and declare biafra for them like he is some kind of god. grin
Which Senator or National assembly did Lord Lugard go to when he was creating Nigeria?

Rev Kukah is an intelligent man but in this regard, I think he is wrong. Since the Igbo/Yoruba/ Hausa man never sat down together and formally agreed to become Nigerians, it means that none of the three have any contractual obligation to stay Nigerians. So how can the Igbo man then go to a national assemby to ask for his independence when he never gave up that indepedence in the first place? Why should Yoruba/Hausa reps be voting in an Igbo independence matter? Because Lord Lugard forced all of us together? Laughable

But Nigeria was created by Lord Lugard through fiat. So you justify your Nigerian dream that was created through fiat and deny others getting their own dream through the same fiat.

Interesting.

But how did a Captain Maimalari become a Brigadier before a Major Ralph Shodeinde who was still a Colonel as at the time both were murdered in the Jan 15 1966 coup?
Because Maimalari was more qualified. Maimalari was amongst the first Nigerians to attend Sandhurst military Academy and became a full fledged combatant Army officer. But people like Shodeinde and Bassey were just recruits were given short officers training and commissioned into the Army. As can be seen in this picture, Maimalari is the same rank as David Ejoor but it was Maimalari who interviewed Ejoor when Ejoor was about to enter the Army. Sometimes, promotion in the Army is about how qualified you are not when you joined. If you don't do the necessary courses, others can leapfrog over you and become your senior. In terms of seniority, it was even Major Bassey who was the most senior being the first commissioned Nigerian officer with the Army number (N1).

Major Wellington Bassey (N1)
Major Aguiyi Ironsi (N2)
Major Ademulegun (N3)
Captain Nwawo (N10)
Captain David Ejoor(N17)

Good one for the history book.

Everything was going on well, until Kaduna Nzeogwu now decided to destroy the Military institution with that Coup, and Ojukwu put the Nail on It with the needless War.

This was when our Military had people of integrity. We will get revert back to this status quo one day again.
Stop the lies! Everything was not going well when Nzeogwu and co struck. There serious problems arising from the 1963 census and the flawed 1964 elections. There was widespread mayhem particularly in the Western Region. As for the War, it was Gowon that caused the war by breaking the terms of the Aburi agreement.

We have no love for herdsmen and we also do not accept stealing so if the story is real then the villagers did the right thing by arresting the thieves and handing them over to the police.
True. But the nincompoop who started this thread ( probably a Yoruba guy) twisted the headline to make it look like Igbos did this for the fear of Herdsmen.

I took a closer look at the pictures, this is not Igbo land. There is no way People will gather like this in an Igbo village land and nobody is wearing a traditional Igbo dress. Not possible! They are all wearing English clothing in a Village in Enugu? The news is fake!
PoliticsRe: Boys Who Stole Fulani Cow In Enugu Arrested To Avoid Fulani's Attack by kingzizzy: 10:30pm On Jul 17, 2016
This could be fake news. I see Palm trees in the picture so it's possible it could be Igbo land. But, there isn't any vigilante in Igbo land in sympathy with herdsmen who have been commiting untold attrocities. If this is Igbo land, then it could be just a case where some youths stole ( cow or otherwise) and the vigilante apprehended them. Igbos have no love for herdsmen.

Nigeria declared War and invaded the Biafran border town of of Gakem in Ogoja on July 6th 1967 sparking off armed confrontation. The invasion of the Midwest and Ore happend "after" Nigeria invaded Biafra. Nigeria invaded Biafra and Biafra invaded Nigerianin return.

I guess nobody told you that Gowon broke the terms of Aburi? Be that as it may, what Ojukwu declared was Biafra not war. It was Nigeria that declared was because it did not agree with Biafra. No matter how you look at it, it will always be Nigeria that declared war because it was Nigeria that came to East to fight.

What exactly is the problem the igbos have with yoruba? Why can't they let us be without blaming us for not letting them go? The average yoruba person supports a united Nigeria because what the igbos fail to see while standing we have seen while sitting.

Biafra is another south sudan in the making. It will be filled with crisis between the igbo and minorities hereby leading to a civil war that could go on for decades. No country wants to share a border with a destabilized biafra because of refugee and humanitarian crisis thay will arise. The ikwere's and anioma's have already made it clear they are not igbos. They finally figured out the plan by the igbos to dominate them because of their oil. A united Nigeria is what the average Igbo man needs to thrive as we can see with present realities. The igbos success are recorded in the south west and north mostly. There is nothing to fall back on in igbo land because of the unproductive nature of the region. It will be a huge mistake if they think the region will thrive as a country cos they need the Yoruba's and hausa-fulanis to build a robust economy. A word is enough for the wise. Biafra is not the solution.
It is hugely amusing when people open threads just to come up with every reason why Igbos should remain part of Lord Lugards colonial creation called Nigeria. It shows the fear and desperation. The funny thing is that you will hardley ever see any Igbo opening a thread to come up with reasons why Yoruba/Hausa people should stay in Nigeria.

There is no tribe in Nigeria called Anioma. Nzeogwu was 100% an Igbo man from Okpanam in present day Delta state although he was born grew up in Kaduna and could speak Hausa and Igbo fluently. It is unfortunate that the first coup was not bloodless but that is the nature of the game sometimes.

[/quote]I have been off this board for a while due to a lengthy ban i was handed and due to my hectic schedule at work. That being said, i have been on the sidelines watching the pseudo e-war between the igbos and my yoruba brothers and i have made my conclusions. Firstly, i want to say that Nnamdi Kanu and other igbo youths' constant online drivel against yorubas has brought out the hidden monster in most yorubas and the damage has been done.
Why do you people keep lying through your teeth? Has there ever been any 'special love' between Igbos and Yorubas? We have never really liked each other, it didn't take Kanu to know this. What we have done is just tolerate each other in the name of 'one Nigeria'. Igbos and Yorubas have never been friends and they mutually dislike and distrust each other.

I am always shocked when i see what goes on here where the igbos wish evil on yorubas and support the militants attacking ogun and lagos states given the fact that yoruba land provides a conducive for igbos to carry on their business. My regrets also stem from the fact that i have wonderful igbos i work with in the office who are wonderful individuals and i cant wrap my head around the fact that these same people will wish yorubas evil. Posterity will be kind to yorubas because we have been wonderful hosts to the igbos and we dont deserve all the hate. There are better ways to go about your agitations.
As I said above, Igbos and Yorubas don't like each other but tolerate each other. So why are you surprised that they are wishing each other bad on the Internet? As for this nonsense talk that Yorubas are wonderful hosts and provide a condusive environment in their lands for Igbos to prosper, are you for real? Under the principle of 'one Nigeria', it is the duty of the Yorubas to host and provide a condusive environment for any Nigerian! That is the price of 'one Nigeria' and if the Yorubas don't like it then they should agitate to renegotiate the terms of their engagement with the Nigerian union like others are. As long as there is 'one Nigeria', it is my right to go and exist anywhere in Yoruba land I like as an Igbo man!

In conclusion, i would urge all igbos in other parts of Nigeria to heed the advice of the Ohaneze Ndigbo who adviced that the igbos divest from other parts of Nigeria and inveat in Igboland. This is imperative in the light of the awakening of the hitherto hospitable yorubas due to the barrage of hateful innuendoes from the igbos. I also want to assure you like i have always done that tje future leaders of the yoruba race are witnesses to the hate being exhibited against them by the igbos.
I too agree that the Igbos should divest their businesses back home. In reality, the saying "there's no place like home" rings true.

But thats the point isnt it. Its just common criminals and faceless individuals on social media like u that keep chanting biafra. If u are really serious about leaving nigeria, then follow the legal means. You cant be abducting people, hijacking ships, attacking law enforcement and expect you wont be treated like a common criminal.

With regards to ur reps eating money in abj, whose fault is that. You are the ones that put them there. If your cause is really just and true, then vote them out and put the people that can champion ur cause. Is not by carrying arming, violent protests and embracing militant groups that u will achieve biafra. Nobody will tolerant common criminals
Believe it or not, even a criminal has the right to tell you that he does not want to share the same country with you. It is left for you to ask your self why you want to be in one country with criminals. You said that it is only faceless people on the Internet that chant Biafra? You mean you haven't seen videos and pictures of millions of people protesting in different parts of the world for Biafra? Search on YouTube. Are they faceless? I don't know what you mean by abducting people, even the Abia state Government has long refuted the DSS claim that 5 people were abducted and killed and no one has seen any picture of the so called 5 people. Hijacking ships, don't make me laugh. Attacking policemen? IPOB is a peaceful group, it is them that have been shot, killed, arrested and tortured for their peaceful agitation. The videos and pictures of the security forces killing them are all over the Internet so if IPOB actually did attack any Police man, you should even be thanking them for having that restraint after all the bullet wounds they have taken in their bid to stay non violent.

As for asking them to take the legal route to self rule, which legal means did Lugard take to create Nigeria? Which legal means did the British take to include them in Nigeria? So they now have to take legal means to get out an illegal creation called Nigeria? Laughable.
