PoliticsRe: Buhari, Stop Doing Interviews With Al Jazeera by kingzizzy: 4:54pm On Mar 06, 2016
Rossikk:
I've never seen Al Jazeera interview the Ayatollah of Iran, or the Saudi king, or Assad in Syria, to ask them stupi.d and rude questions, so why is Buhari subjecting himself to their worthless journalists who only have mouth when it comes to African leaders? This rubbish must stop. If you look around, most world leaders only do interviews with news outlets they know will be favourable to them. But our own Nigerian leaders will accept interviews with just about any foreign news agency from CNN to BBC and Al Jazeera et al, subjecting themselves and the nation to unnecessary ridicule. ENOUGH.
What you are saying is rubbish. Aljazeera does not ridicule anyone. It is your illiterate president who is ridiculing himself. Other civilised leaders grant CNN,BBC and Aljazeera interviews every day. Leaders expect tough questions and the rise up to the occasion. If you are expecting the international media to pose easy question that are favourable to your president, think again. The media is not there to make your president look good, that is not their job. The media is there to report the news and extract information by questioning our political leaders

Given the recent crisis in Lagos, Yorubas may redraw their support for Northerners. Igbo's will then capitalized on this by striking a deal with the northerners. They will get the vice president position plus other juicy posts. Then Yoruba's will be the ones clamoring for succession and Igbos will be clamoring for One Nigeria. 2019 will indeed be interesting.

Right from time immemorial it has always been a rivalry between Yorubas and Igbos. Northeners are just spectators, Being the Opportunists they are also capitalizing on this. As long as Yoruba's and Igbos are still fighting Northerners will always dominate.
Sorry bro but we Igbos have since moved past the office of the president of Nigeria. We looking at something much bigger than that now

It all depends what you mean by East. Usually, referendums are held in regions and sometimes, by ethnic group. If the referendum is by region, it will have to be in the SE/SS region. If the referendum is by ethic group, I can't speak for any ethnic outside my fellow Igbos. For Igbos, it would mean all Igbos and Igboids from the Igbo speaking people of Igbanke in Edo state to all Delta-Igbos,the 5 Igbo States, maybe Rivers Igbos and the Igbos of the lower Benue. I believe that if a referendum is held in these places, at least 90% will vote to have their own country. You know why? Referendum is once in a life time thing. There hardly anyone that will throwaway such an opportunity to peacefully gain their own country.

I'm not in anyway in support of the killing of this innocent little girl or anyone for that matter but if the truth must be said Nnamdi Kanu is to be blamed for the death of this little girl. It was his foolishness and incitement of hate speech that is gradually bearing fruits.

That fool called Kanu has the given the Nigerian army a reason to be in igboland. Nnamdi Kanu is the cause of everything currently going on in the SE. I only pity for the innocent igbos caught in between this madness.
****The armed forces are shooting unarmed people and you are blaming Kanu? Do you think your armed forces are be being paid to kill people without reason? The mentality of some people is incredible!

I heard from a source that the armed forces are breaking into houses in Aba searching for IPOB members and that a kid was shot. I have no way of knowing if this young girl is the same kid that was killed but I do know that the murderous regime of Buhari, the same regime that slaughtered over 1000 Shia'ite Muslims do that the chief of Army staff can have right of way, the same regime shooting unarmed protesters, the same regime that is not a respecter of the courts or the constitution. This regime is leading Nigeria no where

PoliticsRe: It Doesn't Make Any Economic Sense To Explore For Oil In North East Now- Opinion by kingzizzy: 2:03pm On Jan 23, 2016
Northern Oil exploration is a waste of time, even if Oil was $1000 a barrel. The reason is that Northern Nigeria has gained an unenviable worldwide reputation as a hotbed of sectarian violence and terrorism. No international investor is going step one foot in there and neither will the big oil players like Agip, Shell and Texaco etc. They are not going to spend billions in resources and equipment in a place where everything could be blown up the next day. I don't see any Oil coming out of the North this century

PoliticsRe: Dasuki, Kanu's Detention Is Legal - Nwaokobia by kingzizzy: 1:08pm On Jan 22, 2016
tommykiwi:
Chris Nwaokobia, head of Change Ambassadors of Nigeria, a strategic team which played a prominent role in the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria has said that President Buhari has committed no offence with the detention of high profile detainees.

The continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, the Director Radio Biafra and Sambo Dasuki, the former national security adviser has raised eye brows on the extent to which the president is ready to comply with the rule of law.

In an interview with naij.com, Nwaokobia explained that Dasuki was released but re=arrested on a separate charge while Kanu was ordered to be remanded for 90 days in order for security operatives to conduct investigations.
He said the president was not a dictator as he had been complying with the rule of law.

When I hear about him being dictatorial, I ask people to give me facts and figures. And then, when people talk about Dasuki and Nnamdi Kanu, I wonder why we sensationalise every development. Nnamdi Kanu was asked to be released on a different charge entirely from the one that is holding him today. Don’t forget that as you and I talk, the court has given the SSS an authority to hold him for 90 days while they go on with issues about treason for which he is being charged now. So in actual fact, no court order has been disobeyed with respect to Kanu.

Then on the ‘Dasukigate’, Dasuki had been released by the prison authorities because he met his bail conditionaliities and he was out of prison when the SSS re-arrested him for a totally different allegation. There’s nothing in the law concerning being re-arrested when there is an intervening issue. I don’t know where this issue of Mr. President not obeying court orders are situated. If you were in the United States, United Kingdom or France, nobody will give either of these two men bails. Those involved in the 7/7 bombing in the UK were never given bail. Those responsible for the shooting in France were not given bail. What Dasuki did by refusing to arm the Nigerian army has led to terrible collateral damages where a rag-tag insurgent defeats the Nigerian Armed Forces and taking over territories. Now, Nigeria has the third highest number of internally displayed persons in the North-east, it is a massive shame and sufficient to take him to the International criminal court for actions against humanity. When people sensationalise this, I wonder where we are headed. The issue of Nnamdu Kanu is treasonable and I think individual integrity should be subsumed in national integrity. If we must take this country away from poverty, then we must advance the cause for country. If we advance the cause of country, the country would, in turn, take care of us. It is unfortunate that we have refused to wake up from the fact that the elections of March and April 2015 are long gone and the challenges on our hands is to make our nation better and work. It should not be about the APC or PDP because hunger and poverty do not know parties or whether you are Igbo, Hausa or from the minorities. Hunger is hunger and poverty is poverty and they affect people same way

source..........https://www.naij.com/704956-dasuki-kanus-continued-detention-buhari-committed-no-offence-nwaokobia-gives-explanation.html
This guy has the mindset of most APC supporters, the mindset of "guilty before proven guilty". The law says everone must be presumed to be innocent until they are proclaimed guilty in a court of competent jurisdiction. Buhari and APC cannot even observe this constitutional mandate yet they want Nigerians to believe that they true agents of change. Had Buhari been a reformed and refined character, he would have told the nation that we should all observe what the law says about people charged to court, he would have eschewed that principle of innocent until proven guilty. But he can't because he is not a democrat at heart. The man is equating Kanu with the 77 bombings and and the Paris shootings. Has Kanu killed anyone? No. Has he commited any act of terrorism? No. So he commited treason by talking? How can a person commit treason just by talking on a radio station? Laughable

don4real18:
I decided to stay clear of this country affairs even though it concerns every Nigerian
But coming out once again to air my views (against what I originally planned) is due to the fact that we have been played and the youths are at the frontline.
There have been different happenings in recent times, from Dasukigate (the master Atm) the Biafran agitators and the free fall of the naira against the very powerful dollar.

#TheBiafranAgitators
These are made up of youths that have refused to learn from history
These are youths that have refused to control their subliminal perception
These are youths that enjoy being played or perhaps are purposefully ignorant due to sentiments and ethnic diversity
Their agitations have brought about deaths of youths likely to have a bright future at the expense of someone else's greed (with a sugar coated mouth of freedom)
Ojukwu died old and peacefully while the agitators for his dream died in their thousands
Nnamdi Kanu resided in another country until now (presently under custody) while instigating violence in the minds of these youths that have put many to death which could have been avoided.
Have these same youths asked themselves while the so called sponsors of their agitation refuse to come out and carry placards with them
Why they have refused to share in the bullet wounds of their "people"?
Is their life more precious than those agitating on the street?

Until these youths answer these questions truthfully, they will likely remain in the bondage of ignorance and still remain in the frontline of these games.

Bello Wahab O.
Look at the rubbish you are writting. You are not ashamed of your self? Your national security forces are shooting unarmed protesters who are exercising their constitutionally guaranteed right to freedom of movement and expression by peaceful protest and you are here trying to justify murder. You can't even question your armed forces why they have to kill people unnecessarily. Your Army went and killed over 1000 Shiites, men women, children and even babies just so that your chief of Army staff will not be late for an appointment with an Emir. This is the Nigeria you are proud of?

I don't even know who Dasuki is but the law states that everone is "presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law". Why can't you follow the constitution and allow people their right to a fair hearing in court before you proclaim them guilty? You can't even observe your own constitution but you are here writting nonsense.

If the Nigeria you want is one were unarmed people are murdered for expressing their constitutional right, were the rule of law does not exist and where the constitution is reduced to 'pick and choose', then sorry mate, your nation is heading nowhere fast.

As an Igbo man, I can say that the Yorubas and us are not going to unite, not now not ever. It's like bringing a Fox and a Wolf together and hoping that they will unite because both belong to the Dog family, it ain't gonna happen. The Igbos and Yorubas will only unite if they both have their own countries. That's when both ethnic groups will be able to view each other without suspicion and bias as they will no longer be political rivals. The Igbos and Yorubas can do great things together that will be mutually beneficial to each other, but not under the banner of Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Igbos Must Consciously Make Amends For Their Sins- Barth Nnaji by kingzizzy: 2:09pm On Jan 21, 2016
spanishkid:
Igbos must consciously make amends for the sins of their ancestors and in the present stop committing sins against their neighbors. They must publicly apologize to black Americans and black Arabs for selling them into slavery; they must make amends for causing those folks incredible suffering in the hands of sociopathic and psychopathic white men and Arabs.

Until Igbos apologize for their ancestors’ evil and undertake to change their present behaviors nothing would work well for them. Until Igbos change they are condemned to living accursed existence.

At present, Igbos live as second class citizens in Nigeria; they are afraid to live in their own part of the country because they fear that their brothers acting as kidnappers would kidnap them and hold them hostage for monetary ransom.

As we talk, some stupidly egoistic Igbos are testing Yoruba folk’s patience and tolerance to the limit. Yorubas allowed them to come live in their land, specifically, Lagos. Igbos prospered at Lagos (I was born at Lagos and had the best of it). Instead of being grateful to those who welcomed them to their land Igbos, ungrateful as ever, turned around and now claim that just because they engage in mom and pop businesses at Lagos (their egoism prevents them from forming partnerships and corporations)that they have improved the economy of Lagos and therefore the city belongs to them!

Imagine such outrage. Can they say such a dastardly thing at Kano?  These people dare fate to maltreat them. They must learn humility and gratitude to those who helped them instead of making idiot noises that bring them hatred and attack.

These people are evil (as all human beings are) and must change and become real human beings; real human beings love people and help them and do not use and discard them as Igbos have traditionally done and still do.

PoliticsRe: This Will Break Your Heart (photo) by kingzizzy: 1:25pm On Jan 21, 2016
Nigerians must learn the attitude of "presumed innocent until proven guilty". We cannot take allegations as gospel truth. I don't know if any body shared money meant to equip soldiers but I'm not about to pass judgment until that person has had their day in court. People must allegation is not the same as guilt, be open minded.

You are calling someone dullard when you have made no sense yourself, your beer parlour discussions on the methods of UN and its interaction with a stable sovereign nation like Nigeria won't change the fact.
Until Nigeria amends its constitution to give room for secession, your attempts are terrorist simple. UN would and are not permitted to intervene when Nigeria is sovereign. If it was so, gay marriage would be imposed on every member nation! But they can't why?? You guessed right sovereignty...... Now u can attack the facts it won't change
Nigeria is not a sovereign nation. Sovereingnty only comes from the people and as far as I know, the people never gave up their sovereignty for the sake of Nigeria. Nowhere is it written that the indigenous people of Nigeria came together together and agreed to be one country. Nigeria is and still remains a colonial contruct of the British. Therefore, the sovereinghty you claim, was stolen and not given. You can only be a sovereign country by asking the indigenous people what they want via a referendum. Hence, the UN recognised the right of self determination as a process of decolonisation which is essentially what IPOB & MASSOB are asking for. Nigeria cannot claim a sovereignty it never had.
