How can the police say that nobody was killed in Aba yesterday? Who has not seen the picture of the young man lying in a pool of his own blood

Daily killings of Biafran protesters in the east, massacre of people in the north do that the Chief Army staff can make his appointment with an Emir and the daily rampage of Fulani cattle rearing bandits with AK 47's. Ever time that world media houses like Fox and CNN carry the news that the Nigerian security agencies are shooting unarmed protesters, it not only discredits Government of Buhari, it destroys the image of Nigeria as a serious democratic country. It is the height of evil for the armed forces to shoot the very civilians they are paid to protect

Instead of saying all this, why don't you question your security agencies that are killing unarmed protesters? Don't you know it could be you tomorrow? It might not be the issue of Biafra but it might be you out tomorrow protesting fuel scarcity, protesting one Government policy, protesting rigged elections. Any of us could become a protester tomorrow, should we all also be shot and killed for exercising our right to peaceful protest? It is not Biafra doing the killing here, it is Nigeria

I have watched protests of other countries on tv. You find out that civilised countries, the police never ever open fire on unarmed protesters. In some protests, you will see the protesters throwing dangerous objects at the security forces but still, they do not open fire. Instead, they will use non lethal ways of dispersing the crowd such as teargas, water spray and rubber bullets. No life will lost. But in the Nigerian context, not only will the police and Army open fire on civilians, many Nigerians will actually back such a devilish act. It's a tragedy

The constitution is supreme and is never to be ignored by any body, least of all Buhari who swore to uphold it. When the constitution is to be ignored, it means that you are in a dictatship. The Guantanamo bay (which has been closed) you talked about was were suspected enemy combatants caught in the field of battle were kept. Kanu's issue hardly equates to this. What acts of terrorism can be attributed to Kanu and IPOB? None. What acts of destruction have the commited? None. So all we have is just the 'talking style' of Kanu?

Murtala was the first Military officer to conduct a coup in Nigeria purely to sieze political power.


Thousands of people died for the sake of Murtala Mohammed.


Yet, that Military criminal is on the 20 Naira note!

Stop living in delusion. The video of the Oba threatening to drown Igbos if they don't vote for his prefared candidate is on YouTube. The hate that you accuse Kanu of spreading has always been there long before Kanu was born. You think 50,000 Igbos slaughtered in 1966 and the millions that died in the civil war was out of love? Kanu calling Buhari a terrorist, insulting people, calling Nigeria names and whatever he said all falls within Kanu's right to free speech. If Buhari does not like what Kanu said his person, Buhari is free to sue Kanu for defamation of character which is a civil matter not a criminal one. As for the video of Kanu soliciting for arms, again this falls within his right of free speech. Since no guns were found on him and he is yet to fight Nigeria, what is he being charged for? For talking?

I said it in a previous thread that nobody can be jailed in any democratic country for Whatever they say unless what they said contravenes the official secret act or if they lied under oath.

If you want Kanu jailed, remove the freedom of speech enshrined in the constitution first

The difference is that nobody arrested the Oba and flouted two court judgments for his release. His freedom of speech was respected. The same courtesy was not extended to Kanu

The officer that FFK was talking about who promised not to kill his father is probably Captain Nwobosi. Nwobosi led the Soldiers that went to arrest FFKs father (Fani-power) then they moved to get Akintola. Unfortunately, when the got to Akintolas residence, rather than surrender, Akintola opened fire on them wounding Nwobosi on the cheek. A gun battle then ensured until Akintola ran out of bullets and surrendered. They summarily executed him for resisting. When the coup failed, Nwobosi along with Nzeogwu and co were locked up in the eastern region. When Ojukwu declared Biafra, he released Nwobosi and promoted him to a Major in the Biafran Army. Nwobosi later became a top military aid to Ojukwu and was one of those who flew out with Ojukwu from Uli airport into exile at the end of the war. Nwobosi later traveled to Guyana. On getting to Guyana, the government having learnt of his exploits in the Biafran war offered him a temporary job Job as a military advicer. Nwobosi later left for Canada where he lived for many years and became a Canadian citizen. On retirement, he returned to Nigeria and now lives in native Obosi in present day Anambra state. One of his sons recently aspired to become a NASSmember representing Obosi under APGA in the last elections

No concrete reason why they want Biafra other than the Yorubas and Hausas hate us so we have to go. Comparing Kanu to Ojukwu is an insult in all ramifications. Kanu's predicament will never end soon. He will pay for all those hate speeches and instigating wars against peaceful Nigerians. Where are the bombs he threatened to use on Radio biafra? Where are the jet fighters? Where are Ipob soldiers he promised to unleash on the zoo? Pride goes before a fall. Kanu has fallen and all the igbo youths can do is protest. with time everyone will forget him in jail and move on with their lives. I hope uchemefor is learning from this before he finds himself in the same fate.

He fearlessly came back to face his detractors. The man has always said that he would gladly lay down his life for what he believes in, you think it's that kind of person that can be scared with detention and torture? You said Ojukwu led his people into a bloody conflict. How did he do this? Who came down to the east to start a shooting game of war? You said Kanu spread hate? The hate has always been there long before Kanu was born. You said he instigated war? Is there any war? Boko Haram, Fulani cow hearders and Niger Delta militants are doing much more to instigate war and you are worried about someone talking on a radio station. Kanu solicited for arms on a recorded event? Yes he did and he did so in country were it is legal to do so. Anerican residents are legally empowered to own firearms,but that is not the important issue. The real issue is did he get arms and did he fight? The constitution does not recognise soliciting for arms as a crime.

Just the same way you believe in 'one Nigeria' is the same way anybody has the right not to believe in it. Grow up man
