One way I see secession is the illegality of Nigeria its self. Nigeria is but a colonial creation and that cannot stand. The indigenous ethnic nationalities of Nigeria are yet to lend their express permission to the formation and continuation of Nigeria and the 1999 constitution is a fraud.

Officially, no one is a Nigerian since a referendum has not been conducted to ask the people if they like the idea of "one Nigeria"


For now, Nigeria remains a fraud.

Nnamdi kanu has the right to self deternination, as everyone. All the ethnic groups in Nigeria have the right to choose to leave the colonial construction called 'Nigeria', individually or collectively.

The term "one Nigeria" is a symbol of bondage because if Britain, our colonial masters who created Nigeria, can allow Scotland the right to leave via referendum, can leave the EU via referendum and can entertain another referendum for Scotland to have independence in 2018/9

Who are we as Nigerians to say we cannot divide? Nigeria is a creation of the British, why cant Igbo/Hausa/Youba chart they own destiny? They were doing this before the Lugard came, now they must 'die together' because Lugard said they are 'one Nigeria'

Ojukwu was a man who once believed in 'one Nigeria'. He joined the Nigerian Army and even fought for Nigeria in the Congo.

But later on, he realised that there is nothing like 'one Nigera' and he fought to liberate his people from "Northern controlled Nigeria".

Of course Buhari hates Igbos, he has been killing them since his days as young Northern officer in the counter coup of 1966. God knows how many he killed in the civil war.

You and the author of the initial write up are speaking out of crass ignorance. If we all remember, Kanu's Lawyer said that Kanu initially rejected the bail. It took the pleading of several people including his 3 co accused before he changed his mind. His three co accused begged him to go because a dead Kanu in jail is of no use to anyone. Only living people fight for self determination. Kanu had to accept bail to attend to his health. This is why Ojukwu also had to go. Ojukwu fought for 3 years, in the end, there was no point staying back to be slaughtered. A dead Ojukwu would have been of use to anyone same as a dead Kanu. The important thing is that both men rose up and stood for their beliefs when all others decided to bow down to the Northern Gambari Lords.

As for Kanu practicing Judaism, what is wrong with that? Cant a man change his religion? Kanu does not have to be in the same religious sect as me before we all believe in self determination and Biafra. If Kanu likes, he can practice Bhuddism for all I care

Nigeria is a very unique country, although we might not be as civilized as western countries, but one thing we are blessed with in Nigeria is our ability to co exist with each other, despite religious or tribal bigotry. If you go to any Nigeria Farmers market, you will see all Nigerians engaging in intelligent commerce to better their lives. in Nigerian Markets and other public places like motor parks, schools, etc. you will see Hausa, Ibo and Yoruba in these places. what this signifies is that the typical Nigerian would never refuse to do a business transaction with you because of your tribe or ethnicity but rather they would refuse to do business with you based on your attitude and disposition coupled with how much can they trust you. that tells you that Nigerians whether literate or illiterate are good critical thinkers there fore are capable of thinking things through. and if Nigerians can have an open mind towards the issue of One Nigeria they will realize that in this 21st century and time to come it would be better for us collectively as Africans to continue building the civilization we have achieved so far by being recognized as a single Republic instead of an area of rebel groups and seccessionists. i believe we can correct the mistakes our leaders have made and do better for the future generation of Nigerians that are coming. let us have hope and keep faith in a one indivisible and unites ONE NIGERIA..

Do you know the Fons are? Do you know who the Adija's are? Do you know who the Tem's are? Do you know who the Akan's are? Theres a good chance you have never heard of these people. Fons,Adijas,Tems and Akans are majority ethnic groups in Republic of Benin, Togo and Ivory Coast all in West Africa. Igbos do business with all of them without the need of 'one Benin', 'one Togo' or 'one Ivory Coast'. So why do Igbos have to do anything mutually beneficial with Yorubas and Hausas in the name of "one Nigeria"?


Nigeria only makes sense on two reasons, if the various ethnic groups feel a positive impact of being together and

No matter what reasons anyone puts foward for "one Nigeria", it should be noted that Britain, our colonial creators, allowed Scotland the opportunity to exit Britain in 2014 and will still allow them another opportunity to do so in 2018/19

Face the topic and stop ranting. I created this thread base on my point of view and other fellow Niger deltas. Am not against the creation of Biafra, but we from the south southern states are not in support of joining an Igbo dominated Biafra state. We would benefit more from our own resource control in Nigeria than in an Igbo dominated Biafra.

The problem you will have is that while Igbo is a tribe, Niger Delta is not. You can only speak for your tribe, you cannot speak for others. An Ijaw man cannot speak for an Ibibio man and an Ibibio man cannot speak for an Ogoja man. That is why a referendum must be supported by all because it is the only way for everyone to speak out. Those of you who love nigeria can vote to carry on with while those of us who are tired of Nigeria can vote to go. But dont use SS or Niger Delta as an excuse to speak for others
