Yes my bank told me to ask the school (Algonquin College), for invoice in USD, since First bank doesn't have CAD, the school wote back to me saying they can't give invoice in CAD.

what do i do now?

The form A will take how many days?

And how did you paid yours?
Not sure all school have an MoU with flywire. In my case, the school has one with flywire, so flywire will quote in USD and remit CAD to your school.

Alternatively, get the invoice as is in CAD from your school, then ask the bank to give you their current USD/CAD rate. Once you have this, fill the equivalent of the CAD in USD on the form A. Technically, once CBN provides the USD, the bank will purchase the USD from you and remit CAD to your school. (All this happens at the background) so you must go with this understanding as most tellers are not this knowledgeable about this hence they will want to talk you out of it. You will be the one to enlighten them.

Best of luck

Hello!

1)Please who has use flywire to pay tuition fee before and what was the procedure?

2)And then to pay through one's bank, what is the procedure too?
Anyone please.

To pay is about giving me an headache...
You can generate an invoice from the school via flywire and take it to your bank to fill a form A. Please note that this largely depends on the availability of funds as supplied by the CBN. The current rate is between 411 and 412. Alternatively, you may want to pay directly using your dom account but the rate will be way higher than the CBN rate above.

Best of luck

Someone should please answer me biko
Looking at the trend of things in the last 4months, it may be highly unlikely to get a response from IRCC before the commencement of your program in May. Considering that most Nov, Dec and Jan applicants are yet to get a verdict, I would suggest that you start the deferal process now.

Best of luck.

Hello everyone, please for the upfront medicals needed as an NSE requirements, when is the appropriate time to go for the medicals? Is it before submitting the study permit application or after submitting it before you get the NSE request.

please it's urgent. Thanks
You can go before or after you submit your application. If you go after you submit your application, just upload the medical sheet you'll be given by the hospital through the web form once you get the confirmation that your tests results have been sent to IRCC. It will usually take about 3-7 business days for you to get this confirmation from the hospital. (Q-Life specifically).

Thought you said if i use it then it will weaken my home tie?
No. What I meant is if you are pointing to your pension is POF to the VO, is somehow reduces your home tie. But you can use same as home tie.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Kkddyit: 5:18pm On Apr 11, 2021
tumababa:
So no need mentioning pension fund as home tie
Why not...you can use it as home tie. Most especially if the balance is substantially reasonable.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by Kkddyit: 4:13pm On Apr 11, 2021
tumababa:
Pls can one use pension contributions as part of POF or home tie?
Pension fits more as home tie than POF. As per regulation, only 25% of the fund is accessible before the statutory age of 50years. And you must be out of job for about 3months. The VO is aware that pension funds may not be readily available for you when needed. And if you are pointing to your pension fund to me as a VO, it's somewhat weakens your home ties.

Thank you so much for your reply. For the regular route will I still be required to write IELTS? Also, are you saying that I shouldn't bother with NSE if I cannot provide the 30k? Starting my application right away. Thank you.
IELTS is not compulsory for the regular route. Please start the application right away and also give some thought to the aspect of home ties. Put the rest in God's hand.

Good afternoon everyone.
I got accepted to a University a week ago and I'm very excited but a bit worried about the visa application process.
I am writing IELTS this week in order to apply for the Nigerian Students Express program. However, I'm facing a LOT of issues with it. It states that i need 30k CAD in my account. I definitely haven't had that amount constantly for the past 6 months. It's possible to get that amount in order to show them, but will it still be valid if it hasn't been in the account for six months? Or should I just forget about it and use the regular route?
Speaking of the regular route, the Canadian immigration website states that it will take approximately 19 weeks to process my study permit. That is time that I do not have, because classes begin in September and I need to travel before then because of the whole quarantine thing. I know it might be a long shot, but nothing is impossible. Can anyone offer any words of encouragement or has anyone received their permit in a shorter amount of time?
I'm trying really hard not to panic and just to trust that God can do the impossible.
Looking forward to a response.
Thank you!
You really need to tidy up the POF aspect of your application whether you are applying though the NSE route or not. At the least you should be able to demonstrate that you've always had 10k CAD in your account in the last 6months after paying your school fees. (Assuming you are opting for the normal route).

That said, some get their visa way before the 19weeks. It's all about grace. You can start your application now for the fall of 2021.

Best of luck.

Which confirmation letter is this, I have a mutual funds letter and would like to use such letter to show as proof.
It's confirmation of investment. If your fund is with Stanbic Asset Management, just put a call through to request for a confirmation on your investment for Visa purpose. It will cost you 2k and TAT is 48hours.

Frankrobbn1:
You should use it as an auxiliary proof of funds not the primary POF for your visa application. My reason for saying this is because most visa officers at the High Commission of Canada have some skepticism about mutual funds as they ponder that funds in this account have encumbrances and other obligations and you will not have full access to funds. As a consequence, you can include it to support your financial establishment not your primary POF.

It will end in praise
Thank you Frank. However Stanbic Mutual fund is highly liquid and can be fully or partially liquidated within 24hours. This is also stated in the confirmation letter from Stanbic. So it's a good POF.

Can one use a pensions account to show as pof?
Generally pension fund is good for hometies if you are self sponsored as only 25% of the fund is accessible before the statutory age of 50yrs (if the owner is out of job for some period of months.)

You can use the IRCC exchange rate. Google it and scroll to Nigeria.

Gurus is the house pls assistance is needed.. I got NSE message to submit IELTS and a year statement of account.. though have submitted a year statement of account and a waiver letter from.school here in Nigeria and in Canada.
I wrote the IELTS but the result isn't good enough.
L 5.0
R 4.5
W 5.5
S 6.0
Overall band of 5.55.. can I submit this as well or I should just make use of the waiver letter?
I won't submit this if I were you. Most especially your score in reading. How do you convince me as the VO that you had taken courses in english language. Please note that IELTS is not compulsory as you have an option not to submit if it's practically impossible to write another.

Hello, I read through your comments, Thank God for the progress so far. I want to ask a question. What are you using as your home ties since your spouse and kids are included in your visa application. Your response will be highly appreciated. Thank you.
Spent some considerable time on this aspect. I provided the following:

1. Evidence of my landed properties (2 plots and got a valuation report).
2. Pension for my self and spouse. Stated that only 25% of the balance is accessible before the statutory age of 50yrs.
3. I have over 10yrs of work experience on my current job. So provided the contact of my current and past managers - providing some sort of comfort and possibilities of rejoining. (Same for spouse)
4. I highlighted that PhD is sort for both public and private institutions in Nigeria and Africa at large. Plus my over 10yrs industry experience, I see enormous opportunities on my return.
5. All of our families are here in Nigeria. ETC

Just make it convincing and it will sure end in praise.

Good evening house, am using an agent to process my study visa, I was told to provide my NSE before 1st of April, but I don't have IELTS and the bank account CERTIFICATE and my agent insist I provide them unless I will be disqualify. My question now is that will I be disqualify If I did not provide the NSE details

Please I need an urgent answer
No you will not be disqualified but your application will then be processed via the normal route as against the NSE route.

Also note that the provision of these documents do not necessarily guarantee approval either.

Best of luck.

The current update/status of your application shows that the immigration officer is actively working on finalising your spouse and kids application. I have seen a case scenario where the accompanying dependents were the first to be approved before the principal applicant. To all appearances, it reveals that same is about to take place on your application. My professional advice for you is to email IRCC office in Nairobi via email inquiring about the current status of your application and respectfully plea if they require further information/documents from you. This may trigger them to look into your file and expedite processing of your application.

It will end in praise
Thanks you very much Frank. I have just done that.
