Where is our sense of humour? From the first two lines of the original post where the poster refers to the plane crash into the Hudson river (USA) few days ago, it should be clear that this is just a satire on how accidented autos get exported to Nigeria under false claim. |
@Siena This is the comprehensive answer I expect and I think the poster expected also. But Siena, within what time frame will these negative effects happen? If the car stay 2, 3 or 6 months on the ship/in the port? Dont think that 6 months is far-fetched. This is naija |
promise72:Why then do they advise special comprehensive washing and waxing if you live near the sea? or is it just a hoax? |

Quote from babeisme: on Yesterday at 11:31:27 AM for real!!!! I'm loosing a whole whole lot on my previous deals too due to the fall in naira value! it's crazy!Quote from ToTochoper: on Yesterday at 04:20:13 PM MSC MSC everywhere----damn!!!Quote from jenju: on Yesterday at 04:39:53 PM You are quite correct regarding the run-around on ship out date. It is basically first in first out, and you may need to pull strings at the port to get your vehicle appropriately promoted. The uncertainty is usually with their RORO where your car could sit at the port for months if you don't do the needed due delligence. As far as containers, my experience has been good, they usually leave when i get the booking.@ babeisme The bolded parts are relevant. Look before you leap. don't sack your current shipper yet. This is a force majure situation. |

Presidency orders NIPSS to graduate Ribadu, Briggs The Presidency on Monday directed the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) to immediately release graduation certificates for the Senior Executive Course certification to former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commision (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and another participant, Mr. Allen Briggs who were prevented from participating in the graduation ceremony of the institute held at the weekend. Meanwhile, the Federal Government has denied any involvement in the last weekend's saga, directing the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Alhaji Yayale Ahmed to "investigate the circumstances of Mallam Ribadu's removal from the graduation venue and report back to Vice President Goodluck Jonathan." Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President (Media and Publicity), Mr. Ima Niboro said in a statement on Monday that "it (Federal Government) gave no such directive that Mallam Ribadu or any other person be barred from the NIPSS graduation." The Vice President's office oversees the NIPSS. source: http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/breaking_news/article01 |

zoraro:The hosting right was given to Nigeria in Egypt in 2006 suprisingly by CAF not FIFA. Nigeria did not bid for it. We went to Egypt to bid for hosting of African Cup of Nations (ACON) in 2010 to coincide with our golden jubilee celebration. CAF awarded what we bidded for to Angola and went ahead to also award the 2012 and 2014 editions to other 'minnow' countries. To placate us, it gave us U-17 tournament which we neither publicly accept nor reject at the time. Remember that Nigeria was the only bidding country for the ACON then that its President guarantee government support but it made no impression on the CAF exco. Anyway all is well. Nigeria govt has reversed its decision not to host the world tournament. |
On this note, the thread closes. May this court rise Cooooouuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrttttttttttttttttttttttttt |
But is this 2007 model? Someone pls enlighten me. |
Lucille is the new HOH though it may be of no consequence since there is not likely to be nominations on monday otherwise one of the evicted housemates that will return from the rubbish dump will automatically be exempted. If big brother allows nominations, it will be unfair because unlike last year when ofunneka and kwaku that got the least nomination votes were fake evicted, this week nominees were validly nominated. |
promise72:Nigeria is a tropical country not temperate. We don't have winter, that is why we need guaranteed high performing air cooler [aka factory fitted]. People ask for car with leather seats because of some direct correlation between leather seat and availability of luxury options which come as standard with such trims. Of course I agree with you that such wish should be backed by ability and willingness to pay. That is called effective demand. Do we have non-factory fitted aircon passed off as factory fitted? Are u kidding? Dealers (unscrupulous ones) buy value package trim vehicles and fit them with ac may be at Cotonou or oju or even etielegba and tell you they are Special Edition. |
Holier-than-thou Lucille used the same F word she cried over when Uti did same and she got a subtle threat from big brother. After spending almost two weeks in the House, Lucille sees her Diary Sessions as no game for the kids. She says her worst nightmare in the House are the times she confronts the faceless man with a husky voice – Big Brother. Lucille says she finds “the whole Big Brother Africa III experience so f****d up. How cold and unfair is that [speaking to Biggie]?” Speaking to Munya in the bedroom Lucille says she can’t understand why Big Brother insists on finding out from each Housemate what happened the previous day yet he watches them everyday. She questions what more does he want he to know because he’s privileged to the ‘ins’ of the House 24/7. Lucille says rather than chatting to Big Brother she’d prefer writing a journal to give feedback to the general public about her activities in there. She says what also "pisses her off" about the Diary Sessions is that she doesn’t feel any interaction with him at all. As a result she doesn’t look at the camera they were told to focus on when addressing him in that tiny room with an orange couch because the whole experience sucks. “I feel no connection at all …and it feels very strange and very intimidating”. Well enough said Lucille… it remains to be seen how long the self declared Big Brother ‘hater’ is going to last in the House. Source: mnetafrica/bigbrother |
Pls give more info like when the car will be available in Nigeria. Also price will allow pple to decide if it is worth their while to pursue further negotiation with you afterall you want only serious buyers. are there unserious buyers? |
Biggie’s Stern Warning to the Housemates! At 4:26 pm today, Big Brother called the Housemates into the lounge and issued them a stern warning! His words: “Big brother would like to issue an extremely stern warning to housemates regarding nudity in the house. Big Brother will only tolerate nudity in the Big Brother Africa house in the bathroom or bedrooms, and only when natural and appropriate.”Big Brother’s strict warning was followed by a punishment to the Housemates. They were asked to clean up the House for one hour. http://www.mnetafrica.com/bigbrother/Article.aspx?id=136 |
Ceeno E vu:Barbing salon, Redemption Camp, Cannan Land. But christain should not sell recharge cards because men send 'credits' to their illicit lovers. Not work in telecoms companies because sinners use phones to set up sinful appoinments and dates. |
bugybugy:Bugybugy, read my post again. I was also asking a question if we are being ripped off. But my beef with DZ in that post relates to what I noticed in this auto section. Pple hardly criticised adverts by the "big" nairaland dealers but will pounce on perceived one off dealer. Why should 2006 Accord be advertised for almost N3m without a whimper from anyone but the newer version attract negative comment. Perhaps somebody can take up the intellectual challenge of giving us detail breakdown of what the advertised vehicles actually should cost all inclusive. Somebody told me that the $ price on the net is as misleading as quoting airfare net of taxes when we know that taxes on airticket are usually hefty. How true this is, I don't know. Is tax on car in US really that much that it can account for huge price differential when converted to naira as we are seeing here? Do you also notice that NL dealers hardly state the trim (LX, EX, EX-L etc) of Honda cars? just the nebulous "American spec". yet trim level should be a factor in pricing. |
inspired_m:Hope doorstep delivery include outside Lagos destinations and at whose risk? Sent you a mail last Friday |
DeepZone:DZ, like how much do you think this car is worth in Nigeria because Honda Place sells 2008 Accord at almost double the price you quoted. Not saying you are wrong with the $ price, I have also seen that on the net but even on other threads here, 2006/2007 Accord are being offered for N3m and over which I cant recall you reacting against. Are we being ripped off? |
inspired Which one is more expensive? This pre order arrangement or cash and carry. I am asking with specific reference to you not on general principle. |
