L - 8 R - 9 W - 7 S - 8.5 I'm considering a remark in the W, I need that 3 points badly. What do you, my e-family think? On a lighter note, someone here was touched to give me a hug the last time while I was seemingly downcast. Now is the perfect time, with all the RED theme everywhere. Shall we pick a rendezvous already?
Finally,many congratulations to you! |

GlitteringStar: After raising CSE, you can tell the person to also reapply (maybe as xplan B) if his/her CRS score is high. He already did that cos they had refunded his fees immediately. He stands @ 442,I really hope he'll get ITA before his birthday last day of march. Thanks once again |

OK thanks a lot,in the case he wants to try,how does the person raise s CSE,he doesn't seem to know and I've not created a profile yet so I don't know too. He didn't submit his medicals with his application cos according to him his friends who are also INLAND just like him, qualify for CEC and they didn't submit medicals until it was requested,so we are really surprised he was rejected based on that. |

spicengo: Good evening my elders in the house. Please I need help with Ices. I submitted my application form, certificate and passport id to ICES and they sent a mail that I should apply. That they don't have my application. I resent it yesterday no response. 1. Please is there a format for applying? 2. Do I need to send the evaluation to just me or is Ices expeced to send it to Canada immigration. 3. Am I to write that in the form? 4. Can I set up profile without evaluation. Please those have evaluated with Ices should kindly help me. Are u sure they are not asking you to go apply for your Transcript at your school because what uve done is the only way to apply, have u been asked to make payment? I chose send to only me for ur 2nd question. You can't set up an EE profile without your report,if that's what u mean,u need your ECA report n Ielts result and valid passport . |

Phew i can finally get Jay and Liz's voice off my head.
1st attempt Dec 2nd
L 7.5 R 8 S 7 W 7.5
2nd attempt Jan 20 L 8.5 R 9 S 7.5 W 7.0
Thanking God seriously.. After my 1st attempt in which I really prepared for,I was sad and wanted to book the next date I.e Jan 6 just as @mcstan did,but it was closed and of course I couldn't go to Ibadan for that,so I settled for 20th grudgingly not knowing God was at work, cos i noticed d people who took JAn 6th also complained about section, which was same for my first attempt on Dec 2nd. For me,I would say Jan 20 tests was a tad bit easier, maybe not a tad sef, for instance recording broke down just after section 1 and we had to restart, and for the usual difficult section 3,we were to label an oiless compressor which I'm sure some people had prior knowledge of. @Mcstan,I just want to encourage you just like @Canadianfly said,to take a breather and ask for Gods direction amidst practice. Wish u and every other person waiting for this the best.
I currently stand at 440(lost 3 points in writing) The little tips I have to add to what has been shared is that for speaking I used Jay's PPF method, however I started with the Present story so I don't sound out of line before moving to the Past and future.for writing i first write down vocabulary relating to the topic and weave my story around d words,,it made it easier, also wrote in pencil and was able to change my simple words and sentences to complex ones as I reviewed my writing. For reading and writing, followed Jay and Liz's tips.
Still awaiting ECA, Unilag has been tossing me around from PG school to result office to record office to department. Pls who knows Dr F and madam B of department of political science,Unilag. They are d ones holding me back since November,@naoghano can u pls share your contact,I PMed you,any other person that can help, they said my result wasn't sent to pg school. Bikozienu, ejoor help me, so I won't just be staring at this Ielts result. |

redocean: Hi, I got a similar ADR. I suggest you fill travel history for both your spouse and you for the last 10 years. Try to cover even periods you did not travel using nil or n/a. Also attach passport data page and all stamped pages for both of you again.
All the best. Hi, Would you need to fill this for a spouse who is unaccompanying? |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by Kmgb: 9:15pm On Jan 03, 2018 |
Bsbabe: It’s a probability of occurrence based on the experiences of people who have been in that situation. It is not a statement of fact as visa issuance decisions are discretionary. Exactly what I was driving at,I don't believe a PR's unaccompanying spouse will be refused visit visa just for fact that he isnt interested in being a PR as he would not be able to fulfill d conditions, especially if he meets other criteria of funds and a solid biz/or work tie here in naija. Its at d discretion of d VO to make sense of it |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by Kmgb: 8:12pm On Jan 02, 2018 |
Bsbabe: If you’re able get the highest in IELTS LRSW - 8.5,8,7.5,7.5, your score with spouse non-accompanying is about 434 (with a sibling in Canada). With spouse accompanying and not contributing to your CRS, this drops to 410. Unless your husband already has a valid Canadian TRV, I personally think you will be separating your family if you select non-accompanying and only you can determine if you want to live through that. This is because he is unlikely to get a TRV to visit with you guys as Permanent residents, they will expect you to file for him and how will you file for someone you already said is not interested? I will suggest you convince him that he doesn’t have to live there but can come and go as he pleases once this process is over if you all do it together. Let him see the merit in that if you can as separation can be a huge strain on relationships. There are too many families processing PR together without the husband completely relocating.
The choice at the end of the day is only yours to make, but please try for a route that carries your husband along. If you want to wait for PNP, your 410 makes you eligible for Ontario NOI, you just need to stay updated on their website to know when they plan to open and what they require you to do. You can also check out Nova Scotia and Saskatchewan although I believe Saskatchewan has occupations in demand and you can’t apply unless yours is listed. All the best to you in your decision making. Pls is this statement an assumption or a fact that is stated somewhere we can refer to? |

sweetrie: You need to go to the bank, raise a bank draft of N15,000 in favour of British Council. When you get there, your ask for your TRF and tell them you want to apply for EOR, you’d be given a form then asked to hand over the result and the bank draft. Alright, thank you |

sleekchic: Hello All,
I just need to vent for a second. I am preparing for IELTS in January and I am finding listening practice test rather challenging. I have done over 40 tests on YouTube. My issue is that I don't even know which ones are real because when I do the ones posted by some channels I rarely get higher than 34, they are wickedly difficult but when I do the ones by some other channels I always get 39 or 40 and I feel they are too easy. It's confusing, how do I know which ones are real? They all have similar patterns and voice recordings. I really need to improve my listening. My husband that I am the one that tells him what they say in Oyinbo films(he doesn't hear their accent) is even getting higher scores in d practice tests. Any tips Pls helep. I think u should study the tips much more than practicing, after learning the tips for each segment I.e matching, maps etc from various sources ieltsliz,e2language Jay etc, then go back and practice some more, this will definitely build ur confidence. Best of luck |
