This article was written by a Northerner, and the choice of his candidates for the post the VP are very commendable to say the least. Yaradua’s Kicthen cabinet whoever they are and I am sure they know themselves have done more harm than good for the nation and don’t deserve to be anywhere within the corridors of power let alone being in charge of power. These people are evil people and saboteurs to the nation; they should be seen and accorded with a persona non grata status as far as this nation is concerned. Ribadu, El-Rufai and Muazu are good choices, Northern Nigeria has at least 80 million individuals, there must be someone who is cosmopolitan, enlighten, and forward thinking out there. |
Lawyers in da house, any constitutional idea? section, sub-section, in bracket,, bla bla bla, comment now It is a question that requires common sense, u don’t have to be a lawyer or Academic Doctor to know the answer. Is the post of the first Lady recognised by our Constitution – No, Does she draw a Salary – No, so what is the big deal, well the big deal is she is the wife of the President, Is the President on seat now- No Conclusion: If President is not on seat it simply means Madame Turai is irrelevant as it stands now, it may well change in future but for now, Turai is a nobody. |
The man looks like an attack dog, the type u want in your corner. Like a soldier man tell am to go kill na “jorojarajo, about turn, quick match, slow match”. I can understand why Jonathan Goodluck did not sack him entirely he is the type that is ready to do any dirty job for anybody in power hence special duties Minister. Put Agbero or area boy as Presido, Aoondoka would served them well with all diligence. If you tell that man to chop shit that man go chop oh……………. ![]() That to me is an asset one should not discard without thinking it through. |
The first lady is not recognised by the constitution to start with, the acting President has got a wife, it would not be unusual for the wife of the acting President to be invited for one civic event or the other. The essence of such engagements is what is called goodwill gesture towards the Presidency in diplomatic speak or in other words an endorsement. Turai on the other hand is irrelevant today as we speak, she might however be relevant tomorrow, if and only if her Husband recovers from his ailment. Why any co-operate entity or business organisation would want her patronage beggar’s belief. They might as well invite Marayam Babangida for such events. |
I like that Soludo has to under-study someone for him to get to the Presidency. Having failed in Anambra State, the Federal route might be the only option he has left, Ndigbo’s would vote for him as a VP with a provision of eventually taking over after 8 or 6 years. Nigerians might embrace his Dubai plans that was summarily rejected by Anambrians |
TURAI FOR VP !!!! The only President Turai can ever be is the President of Yaradua's Kitchen Cabinet. At least she would be making nice Tuwo for them to eat. |
Moreover as an Acting President, it would not make any sense having an Acting VP now. |
Mr President Appoint VP in January 2011 Jonathan Goodluck should not appoint a VP until 4 months into the inauguration. If he appoints a VP now, the attention and gravitas will shift from him to the VP. Disgruntled ministers would be seeking attention and favour from the VP thereby in subordinating his Presidency. He should enjoy every bit of his Presidency and rule without fear or favour. My take is by choosing someone like Ribadu who is not part of the so called ruling class as his VP, Jonathan would not only have created a new dynasty in which he would be the God-Father of the new President he would also have broken the hold and established monopoly certain individuals have on power. Jonathan should not fall into the trap of the Kano / Katsina mafia by appointing the VP from those States except if the choice is not amongst Yaradua’s Kitchen Cabinet most Nigerians have had enough of them. They know themselves. There are 21 Northern States the VP can come from any one of these states 1. Kano 2. Katsina 3. Sokoto 4. Niger 5. Kebbi 6. Nasarawa 7. Borno 8. Jigawa 9. Benue 10. Kogi 11. Kwara 12. Kaduna 13. Palteau 14. Gombe 15. Adamawa 16. Taraba 17. FCT 18. Yobe 19. Bauchi 20. Zamfara Enjoy the Stewardship of the Presidency for now, Mr Presidency you have 18 months to pick the man that would move the country forward, I would suggest you send your advisers to search for the best person for the Job. My Suggestion of Ribadu would re-position the PDP for an overwhelming victory in the 2011 polls. Ribadu- For President Soludo – VP |
Could this be the reasons why Yaradua has remained President of Nigeria for the past 80 days albeit from Jeddah and perherps under a life support machine. If for any reasons he is no more the President of Nigeria either through impeachment, or sending a letter to NASS, or just simply resigning because of ill health. He would know longer be the guest of the King of Saudi as his status would have changed from that of a President and Nigeria's number 1 citizen to that of Citizen Yaradua an African man of Nigeria extraction sick in the King's Hospital. ( Questions would be asked in the royal courts should this skinny, problematic and frail African man continue to enjoy the hospitality of our King, he is now a nobody ) We all know citizen Yaradua would not be welcome in the King's Hospital, just like Citizen Musa from Kano , or Citizen Dauda from Oyo State, Citizen Yaradua would not be any diffrent from thousands of Nigerians living in the Saudi Kingdom. At the moment he is a special guest to the SAUDI Monach, If HE IS NO more President, as far as the Saudi's are concerned he becomes just another African man and a burden in the kings posh Hospital. Could that be the reason why the Yaradua's are holding on ![]() |
By preparing to swear Jonathan as an acting President instead of an Executive President, might be a sort of check by the Senate on Jonathan Goodluck, the word acting simply means the status quo should remain the same, hiring and firing would be done with some consultation with the Senate. Goodluck would be a checked and a lame duck president, just their to steady the ship for the next 18 months. My strong feelings are the Senates knows the true state of Yaradua's health, but I doubt if the VP knows. The VP would always look behind his back b4 making any decision with regards to Hiring and Firing. The Senate would remind Goodluck that if he fires anybody without thinking it through, that decsion might be rescinded if the President resumes his post. |
All that is happening is window dressing. The senate are playing a game, why not impeach Yaradua for AWOL - Absence without leave. That would make sense. But this one, swearing in an acting President, so it simply means Turai would still be in Aso rock and Jonathan would be at the VP's lodge. That does not make sense, if Jonathan is sworn in as acting Presdent I dont suppose an acting President would now have an actingthe VP. The whole scenerio is now becoming the more u look, the less u see. This one naw Abracada - Goverment Magic |
This election happened at a time the PDP led FG cannot afford to fight a war in 2 front, what am I saying, in fact a war in 10 fronts, this is the best time to have election in Nigeria, because those in power are as clueless as those they are ruling. They log on on to their computers every morning to catch up on the latest scoop. It would susprise some of you that u are more knowledgable than those in the corridors of power. All the same it was a good day for anambra and opposition party. |
AOONDOKA GETS A THUM UP The Tivs are the enforcers for Yardua, with Madame Waziri waiting in the wings to pounce on any subversive or resenting voice, no wonder Bafawara has kept qiet just a little roughend up by EFCC's hard men has made him retreat into his hole. ( I would not be susprise if Dora Akinyuli is picked up for one thrump up charge or the other in the weeks to come.) Obviusly this times are the best times in the history of the Tivs, they would not want to give it up without a fight, unlike like the beroms of Jos, the Tivs are not ready to unshackle themselves from the servitude, slavery and apron of the Saunderner of Sokoto, the sooner they realise it the better it would be for them. |
The Irony of the concept of the Middle Belters, and some other tribes in the south such as Urobos, Itshekiri,Ijaws and funny enough Igbos they are the true Nigerians. The Yorubas and Hausa spill over the borders of Nigeria into Republic of Benin and Niger, the efiks spill over into the cameroons. The true costudians of the Niger and Benue River are the Middle Belters, the time is ripe for them to lay claim to their legitimacy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as true sons and daughters of the soil, afterall the name Nigeria was derived from River Niger. They should remove and banish the shackles of slavery and dominaiance of the Sokoto caliphate now than never b4. |
If any city in Nigeria should not have Okada, then one city that qualifies is Abuja. This is a city that was formelly born with all intent and porpose in 1991 bearly 20 years ago, and the next great developmental leap is the re-introduction of Okada, clearly the minister of that city has ran out of ideas. What we are witnessing is when unqualified people are made to head what is meant to be a mordern city this is what u get. Aleiro if one checks his background well, has he ever lived in a mordern metropolis b4, does he know what makes a city ticks, this is a man who spent the best part of 8 years being the Govenor of the backwater called Kebbi State. I have always said it, Yaradua's govement is about making money for his family. All the top choice jobs where giving to Hausa /Fulani people with a mandate to remit to madame Turai. That is how Yaradua's regime works. The Abuja bolevard project, which is one of the high profile projects of Aleiro's regime has being abondoned. The contract has already be awarded but the money has gone walkings noting on the ground to show this project is on going. I was privvy to information from a friend who runs a restaurant in London who wants to set up shop in the business district. The boulevard was going to be about 1.6 miles long and cost between between N2 billion and N5billion Naira. It was meant to be a mix development of shops, city centre flats, and cinemas and so on, just to give the city a soul . At the moment Abuja is souless city, the most souless city in Nigeria, it is a dead city, we have roads that leads to no where, the boulevard would have being a focal point for the city dwellers just like Oxfrod street in London or Manhatten in New York or the champs elysee in Paris. But Alas that is not to be as our honarable minister has shared the contract money with his co-conspirators and instead of giving the city a befitting world class business district has rather chosen to do it the almejeri way, opening the city roads to millions of almerjri bike riders that would be scuttling down the city centre in a mock macarbe bike race, what an awful sight that would be. What we have in our hands is an illetrate minister with an illetrate policy. Come to think of it why has no Southerner being the minister since the inception of the FCT, is it wholly the exclusive right of Northerners, just wondering. ![]() |
The middle belters should have their own Governor's forum, it is people like Saraki that is dragging the middle belters down. Saraki is bent on lacting on to the north for favours, not knowing the core North only need the Middle belters for bloc votes and nothing else. Thank God a lot Middle belters have woken up and now Know we are no more in the 60's where the Sarduna of Sokoto reings from every state from Kogi, Kwara and Benue States Northwards. The Irony is Bukola Saraki thinking because he co-ordinates NGF meetings, the post of being the VP is already in the bag, he made his intention known according to sources in one of their meetings and was summarily rejected by the core Northerners who selected 3 Hausa-Fulani Governors as likely candidate for the post of VP. Kwara state are the ones dragging the other Middle Belt states down. |
Are you not this same dumb arse that gets twisted out of human form when the issue of good-for-nothing southern ethnic groups, including Yoruba, joined their masters from northern region of Nigeria to fight Biafrans? Please address the name-calling to your ridiculous forbearers and quit this shameful shenanigan of trying to paint entire southern Nigerians with one brush. Our Foreign Minister is not exonerated, his act and threat in an open world press confrence shows he dances to the tune of the mallams like a puppet. That man has lost the plot, if that is what the Igbo's has to offer the South in terms of bravado and resistance, I am afraid the man only made us Soutthernrs look like a bigger fool. |
Poster, now you are changing the post oh. . . .which one u dey now Any how u look at it, we Southerners are the one drawing our selves down when it comes to money we lose our senses. That mallam has being coma going to 72 days now and still counting, what did we do. You are can interprete the the post the way u want but the bone of contention is the same. Can u imagine a PHD IS THE VP, instead of us to give him a chance some dumb ass head is calling for the 1st lady to be President yet we siddon look. |
OBJ’s 3rd term failed because fellow Southerners conspired and shot it into pieces, I stand here today and say Yaradua’s 10th term would be supported by 98% of the Southerner Legislators, if that is not a slavery and foolish mentality then what can be further from the truth., The only God we know in the South is the God of money. If people like Nnamani can shoot down OBJ’s 3RDterm are we saying there are no more men like that in today’s NASS. Or as usual our Northerner rulers would have discreetly planted the seed of discord amongst us, knowing that it is just a matter of time before would end up destroying each other while they sit on the fence and laugh at us. |
Southern Nigerian’s loyalty is to money, people like Dimeji Bankole must be exiled from Yoruba land he is a shame to the race. I cannot believe this stupid speaker wants to run for Ogun State. He should be banish and driven out of town when his term finish. Today is his moment to make or break Nigeria and he has chosen to break Nigeria as long as he is lining his pocket. I don’t blame David Mark, this regime has being the best regime for Tivs, the AG is a Tiv man, The CJ of Federation –Tiv Man, the Chairman of EFCC a Tiv person, head NDLEA another Tiv man. No wonder Mark just siddon look despite the fact that Hausa / Fulanis jihadist are busy killing their neigbours the Beroms in Jos What is Dimeji’s reasons, Yorubas are down the pecking other in this regime, our bankers are hounded out of the country, our roads are left to rot by a tribalist FG. At least some brave Igbos in power, a woman for that matter has shown some our weak Southern men in power she’s got balls, and begs to differ. |
Just thought of it, if OBJ was the one sick for 72 days now, would he still be the President of Nigeria. The Northerners including the biased armed forces would have swept him out of power and install their man unto the top Job. If what is happening in Nigeria today is not blue Murder then could someone PLEASE Define “Blue Murder to me” tell me what it means. Looks like there are 2 citizens in Nigeria, 1st class citizens and 2nd class citizens, the 1st class citizens knows themselves whilst the second class citizens also know their place in society. Me I know which one I belong to , but I aint saying it, where do you belong ?? ![]() |
KnowAll, currently where are you , i dont know if you are in abroad, ofcourse 9ja needs for you pp with good ideas, why wont you heading to sanate, reps as well turai to admonish them in a simple words they may imbibe your above mentioned ideas and release 150mpp to enjoy their nation as well. Thanks for the commendation, but the coast is not clear for me to come and contribute my own quota to the development of the country. Having said that if at all I want to get involve in Naija Poltics it would be done discreetly. 1) I have criticised a lot of our current Politicians who are good for nothing anyway. 2.) the only way these sons and daughters of suicide bombers reacts to people who criticise them is to exterminate all vocal, factual and militant criticism. (We all saw our External affairs Minister threaten a Nigeria Journalist in an open press conference. ) That brings me to my 3rd question : Are you praising me so that I can come into the lions’s den so that your Madame Mrs 1st lady would give me a very nice Dele Giwa treatment or are you genuinely praising me, my hearts says it is the former, but my head says it is latter. I have chose to believe it is the former as the Nigeria SSS has no Job these days since Oga Yaradua is not around, other than to scan the Web for supposedly subversive elements. Oh boy u tried in trying to lure me back to Naija, but I think I am wiser than that. I shall do my home coming at my own time when the Turai’s of this world will be irrelevant in our polity and back in the Kitchen where she belongs. NB: Nothing against you if have genuine intentions towards me. |
The Country is slowly but steadily drifting into anarchy, we had the Jos debacle only a week ago, the militant in the Niger Delta are getting restless, bombs have started going off is some places. OPC is seriously reviewing its stance with the Nigerian State. The FG behaving like a true enemy of progress disrupting a laudable project in Lagos. ( Lagos – Badagry expressway ), yet it is ok to build a Boulevard in Abuja which is only 1.6 miles long for N2billion Naira. |
If we need women with balls to rule our country we know who they are and where to find them, it would not be Turai, a woman who has spent her whole life preparing Tuwo for her husband, what does she know about politics. Those bloody sycophants they open their mouths and say the most obscene things, how can any sane person say a woman like Turai should lead this country. |
Give us your reason, I am not advocating a coup, I am telling the House members to take charge of the sitituation. I don’t suppose u like how this house wife is twisting and turning our heads left, right and centre. I am sure u love the status quo to remain the same. |
Why is Turai holding the bloody country to ransom as if the whole country is her personal kitchen utensils? A country endowed with learned fellows men and women of integrity from every works of life are held, bounded, and even sectioned by either fear, trepidation or cowardice by a woman who is almost a semi-illetrate. Why are we pandering to every whims and turns of this common law house wife. Even the Generals in our Armed forces shakes in their booths when she raises her hand, men who will not remotely allow their wives to utter the most suggestive question with regards to their own personal concerns and fears are now pandering to the wife of a President they are not sure whether he is alive, in-coma or dead. The armed forces should take charge of the situation henceforth, I am not advocating for a coup, far from it, what I am advocating is a solution to the political Log-Jam we found ourselves, the duty of our armed forces in as well as adhering to the constitutional provisions enshrined in our constitution, they are also the custodian of our constitution and the last bastion for neutrality in a country known for its ethnic strife. . What the armed forces should do :- 1. Announce the rather premature but apparent end of the Yaradua presidency. 2. Dissolve the parliament, since (our Law Makers ) the present House of Assembly cannot deliberate with all sincerity on something as mundane as ascertaining the true state of the health of the President. 3. Send this power drunk house wife called the first lady back to her semi-arid backwater ensuring she is restricted to her Kitchen. 4. Declare Jonathan as interim President in which he would prepare, organise and ensure a Presidential election is conducted within a 90 day period, the election would also includes those of the Senate and Reps, 5. The States, LG and State of House of Assembly would continue with their current political dispensation until 2011, 6. Rectify the Constitution with a clause for “Re-calling incapable law-makers” Constituents should be allowed to re-call their House men and women if they believe they are not performing. This rule should be applicable to both Federal and States lawmakers. . 7. The above for-mentioned steps will halt complacency, and all forms of indecision which has been the bane of the last assembly, it would also awaken our Legislators to their duties and cases of blatant dereliction of duty, and absenteeism would be curtailed drastically. 8. Jonathan would not be running for the Presidency, during the interim period, the Chief of Army staff would be the de-facto VP. |
One VP is jobless as it were, Jonathan doesent get to do anything when Yaradua was in office, his is just to siddon look. What would the second VP do then, when one VP has not got enough work in his in-tray. The idea reaks of trablaism and should be discounted in all its ramifications. Mantu being an Hausa man from Plateau State, a State where hate has being sowed and preactised with ignomony, one is not suprised that such ethino-centric idea should be unravelled by a man grossly bedevelled and obsessed with tribal politics. |
exactly why you will never get anything done. no year passes without someone getting killed based on Politics. It is either you are Man ENOUGH or waiting for everything to be right, it will never be. What is man enough in deciding not to get yourself involved in anachy. In a country where people's lives are 2 for a penny, u seriouly think I am mad enough to get myself involved in that kind of mayhem, u must be jocking. In my costinency ( I won't mention it ) the incumbent House man was actually involved in ballot box snatching in a recent by-election is that the kind of human being I will say " I don chop bellyful wan challenge for election " . Oh boy smell the coffee b4 you get stung. I must emphasis thus, that not all consetuencies are like that, but mine is a no go area for now. |
I personally would have love to throw my hat in the ring in other to take up a legislative post in my own constituency, but the recent assassination of the AC Guber guy in Ogun State put a stop to that for now. I have to re-strategise. At the moment the country is run by a gangster, nobody really knows who’s in charge, in such circumstances anything can happen to anyone, the welfare of my wife and kids is of more importance than the jungle called Nigeria today. My views might however change 6 to 8 weeks from now when we have a substantive person in charge of the nation but as of today I rather be on the sideline and watch proceedings. Anyways goodluck to you Nuzo. |
The first time I knew of the Ilesha Gold was in 1975, today 35 years later we are still talking of Gold discovered in SW Nigeria. If this news is not stale news then we must start re-defining what the word stale means. I am sure 40 years from now another clueless Nigerian minister would open his big mouth and announced to the whole world that there is Gold in SW Nigeria or is it Central Oduduwa Republic because only God knows where the SW would be by then. See you in 40 years time ![]() |
