Lagos being the cyber capital of Nigeria, one is not surprise that 87 graduates bagged first class.  But I still think they can do better, a stroke on a keyboard can unravel the most difficult questions in any field. I am surprised that there were only 87 first class students, when the contrary should be the norm now, in fact we should be having about 500 first class students, 1, 500 2nd class upper,  and maybe 87-2nd class lowers.

Anybody with 3rd class in this day and age with the amount of materials in the public domain should be flogged publicly.

Eko Atalntic City something to cheer you up in this glooomy times

Just reading through this peice on Eko Atlantic City, quite inspiring to say the least. The big question is,  can such an ambitious project come to frution in a country like Nigeria,  at least one can trust Fashola unlike most of the other Governors or politicians. Reading the litrature of this ambitious project has not only brought a succour of releif to me,  I am sure most Nigerians will have a sigh of releif especially as the last 4 months have being one bad news to the other thank God for this project.  From Yaradua's sicky holiday in Saudi Arabia ( heard he has being given a permanent stay now ) , to Muttalab the bomber, to Sanusi and his sackings, to our powerless and clueless NASS members, not to mention the heart wrenching news of the killings in Jos.

Looks like Lagos  is set to be the last beacon of hope in an almost hopeless country. Cities like Jos with her wonderful weather has finally succumb to the tirade and anarchy associated with al queda. We hope Eko Atlantic City becomes a reality even if it is in our mind that way "man no go kolo"  from all these bad news from my country.

I think these CEO’s spent too much time as the helms men/women of those banks.
If they have retired say 2 or 3 years ago they would have walked away with their loot.

As it is now they are like sugar ants nibbling into the big, large block of sugar, instead of leaving the sugar when they have had enough, they decided to have a tent beside the sugar, so that when they wake up in the night they take a bite, in the early morning they take a bite, noon they take a bite, evening they take a bite and the process starts all over again

There is only one name for such attitude – “ Greed !, Greed!!, Greed!!!” . What a pity

Politics › Re: Doomsday Scenerio- Jonathan Might Decide To Run Come 2011 by KnowAll(op): 12:17pm On Jan 26, 2010
You really think it is the North's turn?

Ok look at this scenario: If a fresh Northerner takes over in 2011, do you think he will be willing to reliquish power in 2015 after just 4 years, just so that the South can now take its turn??

The wise thing for southerners to do now is to checkmate the north by either by sopporting Jonathan to continue in 2011 or by fielding a very credible candidate that would knock out any potential tribalistic northerner.

For me, If the north presents candidates like Ribadu or El Rufai easily vote them many other southerners except the likes of Donald Duke or Fashola.

To be sincere, Yaradua's illness has thrown all the calculations, permutataions and scheming into dust bin, the stake holders of the ruling party had better come up with a new plan.

Plan A is history, Plan B should commence,  the names of some current Governors from the NW and NC regions mentioned recently in some recent press release as possible candidates for the post of  VP to Jonathan does not stir any emotion or inspire anticipation of good things to come.

The North had better bite the bullet and accept that the only credible candidate from the North is Nuhu Ribadu or the no-nonsense CBN of Governor. The only problem I have with Mallam Lamido is he might be an islamist and have a very parochial view of things.

His decision to sack Eratus and Ibru was a bit premature, what any reasonable person would have done was give them a time frame( maybe within a month ) to get their books in order. Now with the added benefit of hindsight knowing how rich Ibru and Akingbola is,  one would suspect that both Ibru and Akingbola would  have liquidate their own personal fortunes to find the funds to fill those gaps in other to safe their necks.

Lamido should have being patient, he would still sack them after the gap filling exercise was over, he and they that is Sanusi and Akngbola and Ibru will know that the games is over as the Chief Executives would know they have already compromised their positions, filling the gaping holes in their banks would seem a lesser evil than spending 10 years in a Nigerian Gulag.

That would have put Lamido in a position where if he desire for the coveted top job he would not be questioned on his decision and leadership qualities.

I suspect Jonathan might however still shock the North in particular and the nation in general,  he sure knows,  he cannot run himself,  he might as well have a powerful, well respected, and wildly accepted God-Son in no other person than Nuhu Ribadu.

I would not be surprised if this comes to past. If it ever comes to past then Nigerians all over the world can take solace and know that without firing a single shot a revolution has taking place and a new nation would be born. Jonathan on the other hand would have written his name in a historic plague that would be revered for ever.

He should forget it,the north have not completed their 8 years.

Well I will not bet my last Naira, dollar, pounds on that. We all know it is the North's turn but they should do the honourable thing and follow the constitution to its letter. 150 MILLION Nigerians does not have to be a soothsayer to know something is wrong with Mr President. Even the blind in Sabo knows that.
Politics › Doomsday Scenerio- Jonathan Might Decide To Run Come 2011 by KnowAll(op): 3:26pm On Jan 25, 2010
Jonathan might decide to run come 2011, because as it is now,  the time he would spend being the President of Nigeria is dwindling by the hour. In Novemeber 2009 he would have spent  1 year and 6 months or 18 months if he had ascended into that office, now it is down to 15 months as at January 2010. With the little taste he has already manage to get of what one can be construed to being in the Presidency with some semblance of Presidential powers, any sane man or a man born of a woman would want to taste more of it,  I am sure he would be saying to himself, men,  I aint giving this up without a fight, after all the South-South lays the golden eggs that Abuja and Yaradua’s is surviving on.

The fact that Yaradua is alive today can only be attributed to the Petrol $dollars he and his family are spending without any care in the world. It is times like this I wish we are a Banana Republic, (as if we are not already one ), A country without a lot of money, by now,  Yaradua would have long gone to his maker, his survival is only guranteed by the steady stream of petrol dollar from the creeks of the Delta to Abuja.

The irony of this flagrant misuse of our petrol $dollars is the fact that  countless women and baby die yearly of child birth in the Niger delta, yet the Yaradua’s are spending our money and our commonwealth as if there is no tomorrow.

I have being thinking thus, if the North want to rule come 2011, they had better hand over now b4 it gets too late. If it gets too late, I would like to see how anyone will be able to force and convince a 49 year old Phd holder that he doesn’t have what it takes to run a country as complex as ours, how would anyone tell him to retire at his prime.

Well may be the Northerners will tell their army friends to grasp power as usual, If that happens, then the full balkanisation of  the Nigeria polity will begin in earnest and without much ado. The conflagration that would ensue would consume all asunder, I pray we don’t live to see that day.

The fact that there is a large Southern diasporic force abroad means arms can be sourced on the International markets and contributions from the over 10 million Nigerians who are currently contributing $10 billion dollars to the Nigerian economy can easily be persuaded to divert that fund to the defeat of the Bilandi forces from the North,  the war effort would be co-ordinated efficiently with the added advantage of knowing a Super-power would be behind our forces, the total annihilation of the marauding and fanatical killers from the North is more at sight than never before. What the Oyo empire could not accomplish in the 18 th century would be achieved by the forces of Southern Nigeria because enough is enough.   sad

George Bush said with the commencement of the war on terror,  you are either with us or against us. The world knows where Southern Nigeria stands in the divide, where does the North stand ?  undecided

We have less than 14 months to the next swearing- in. Goodluck should just be playing the role he has being playing since his boss flew to Saudi Arabia. It is obvious his boss is not prepared to promote him to the next level, he (Goodluck ) has nothing to lose, he should continue in his acting capacity until 2011 when we would have our next election.

Even if the Presidency where given to him today what is he going to do in less than 14 months that will benefit the Nigerian people. I am not sure he would add any semblance of relevancy to the lives of the poor folks, the un-employed and the down and trodden . The status quo should remain the same unless Mr Goodluck is prepared to perform some miracle within the next 14 months, and if that is the case he had better start telling Nigerians what difference his Presidency would bring that Yardua is not currently doing. Why should the country give him the most important and sensitive Job in a platter of Gold without knowing what his plans for the nation is ?

The long awaited Youth congress of the Nigerian Revolution Party is going to take place in Lagos in the month of March 2010. 20,000 Youths would formally be giving their accredition certificates and on that day they would swear an allegience to the tenants and conventions of the NRP. The Party in her part would reward the youths with their costume of identification the Black-Shirt, which would be seen as a symbol of purity, new begining and  hope in the midst of dis-unity, hopelesseness,  abject poverty and blatant corruption.

The Tenents of the party shall be revealed to the world on that day, we shall also introduce our selves to the world. Already 20,000 vacancies have being snapped up with little vacancies remaining. Although our doors are still open for more like minded people, I have to say this, it will not be open for too long . Our covert meetings have finally come to frution we are ready for goverment, we are gearing up for 2011. The future is bright for Nigeria. All hail the NRP

Politics › The Court Ruling And The Northern Candidature’s Position Come 2015 by KnowAll(op): 2:56pm On Jan 14, 2010
According to the presiding Judge, the nomenclature remains the same, which simply means that the VP remains the VP but with an added responsibility of acting and fulfilling Presidential duties and assents on cases that requires the President’s urgent attention.

The fall out of the ruling will be that, there would not be a Vice President in the country, and as it were, the new status quo could possibly remain in place for the next 15 months from now to Election Day in May 2011.

The implication of this will mean that Yaradua completed his first 4 years term.

Going by the gentlemen agreement on the table amongst the PDP the implication of this ruling would mean a new Northern President coming in 2011 would only be restricted to a one year term since Yardua would not be running.

Does that mean the country would implode come 2015, since a new Northern President would like to run for a second term in 2015 OR How is it going to pan out in 2015.
Politics › Re: I’m Vindicated: [Nigerian] Banks Were Not Examined By Soludo In The last 5 Years by KnowAll(m): 3:19pm On Jan 11, 2010
If those guys are billionaires Akingbola and Ibru so is Soludo, would you want to bite the finger that feed you. One thing Nigerians must realise is Southerners are social animals they know how to party with looted funds, enjoy the finest things of life with looted funds hence the larger than life appetite to plundered their states and bank resources. Soludo and his fellow bank colleagues are not anymore different from their other southern brethrens. On this instance one can revisit the sins and demeanours of the southern thinking to these gentlemen.

What I realise is, there is always a silence camaraderie of vile adventuristic innuendos when southern brethren come together in pursuit of what can be construed as material gains, tribalism which is the bane of our daily lives gets shunted unto the back burner in the realisation of our personal selfish interest.

The northern man has an in-built guilty conscience which has being indoctrinated into their being from the womb, with a heavy heart and a soul ravaged with guilt they succumb to temptations of life, whilst this can be said of majority of the northerners some are made of stern stuff and are rigid and unshiftable in their principle. Sanusi happened to fall into the category of the latter rather than the former.

He will make a great President, the PDP should go for this gentleman, although brash and a no nonsense person in his speech, he may well be the revolution the nation needs.

The Federal Goverment has being playing on the intelligence of the nation for 30 days now. Nigerians have finally found this new game of hide and seek quite interesting. We should all play along with the FG, since there is no visible person to hold accountable for the Political Log - Jam we found ourselves we might as well ask the next in line who happened to be Jonathan where is his Boss ?.

( I am sure Jonathan will be desperate to direct the people asking the question of his Boss whereabouts to Turai Yaradua ) unfortunaelty Turai has no leg to stand hieracaly we all know she is the one ruling the roost indirectly but the bulk stops with Jonathan as he is the one in the hot seat, hence he should be the one answering the question.

Don't ask the VP cos he does not know. He is not a member of the kitchen cabinet and he has to play smart before they label him as power monger. And if you ask me, I will say thus far he has behaved so well.
Mind you they are doing everything within thier power to trap him so they can find a reason to eliminate him from the equation.

So poster, leave Jonathan out of this.

Then the VP should step down, why should the nation be paying his salary, the perks of his office if he cannot answer a simple question of where his boss is. At least with OBJ it was public knowledge that he and his VP where not at good terms with each other hence the country knew what to expect. If the the sitiuation where to be the same with Jonathan then he should come out and tell the world how it is, that way he will be exonerated from the fracas and agitation we are experiencing.

It is high time we start holding the officials in goverment that are visible to us accountable for the disapparence of the Cin C, as far as we are concerned Yaradua could even be in Katsina chilling out for all we care or might even be 6 feet under that will be a slap to every Nigerian fat, thin, small or big including all domestic animals cats, dogs and donkeys.

Jonathan Goodluck was also sworn in as VP if I am correct. What ever capacity he is operating at now is irrelevant, one fact anyone cannot take away is he is the Vice President of the nation whether substantive or not.

140 million Nigerians should hold him culpable, he should come out and tell the nation where his boss is. We cannot continue as a nation to be told blatant lies in this day and age. The misdermanor and behaiviour of the federal officials is a slap to the Nigerian intelligentisia and learned community. Learned individuals like Fashola, Falana, Soyinka, Balarabe Musa, and Ojukwu cannot say for a certain what has happened to their CinC. It makes all these honourable men look like a bunch dimwit, a blind leading the blind.

Does the AG, Dora Akinyuli, Yayale think we are kindergarten kids. The Torch of sincerity, probity, transparency and honour should not be focused on Yaradua anymore, it should be directed and focused on those officials who are paid with tax payers funds to keep them in their high and mighty offices. Those offices and post are not their birth right,   anyone of us 140 million Nigerians must also be able to aspire and attain the post therby giving the tax payers value for money than what we are currently getting from these bunch of clowns who are running the Federal Goverment.

Today we are in January 2010, we should start to ask Jonathan a direct question without mincing words,  where is your boss with eveidence if he cannot give a justifiable answer then his post and office is un-tenable he should resign. The heat should not be on Yaradua anymore but on Dora Akinyuli, AGF, Yayale and Goodluck.

Akala is not the worst, the Abia guy is the worst. How I came to my vote

I asked myself a simple question -  Who amongst all the Governors is involve in a Scandal at the moment and I came up with Akwa Ibom Gove and ABIA Governor through his wife. W e all know their can never be smoke without fire. I also thought of Akala, but concluded that there is no scandal against the guy the only thing is he has got a lot of bad press which is not good for any Governor.

In fact Akala should be commended he built those poo houses in Ibadan not the most deisred project but still a worthy project for the locals hence a tick.

And secondly he bought cabs and gave them to graduates to drive therby empowering these youths who would have being un-employed anyway. I think this should be also commendable although a far cry from Soludo's turning Anambra State to dubai.

The Akwa Ibom Governor got exonerated by completing the Uyo Airport a feat which is highly commendable.

That leaves the Abia Governor what has he done a part from that scandal that embroilled his wife.

I was attempted to choose Yuguda but decided against it owing to the fact that I have never heard any goody or baddy about him with regards to his administration. He might be very good at delegating which are all part of the skills needed for the most discerning politician.

It is simple, Jonathan is a dark horse come 2011. For those of u who dont know what the term refers to, Dark Horses have a chance of winning the coveted crown but are not the favaorite. Just like Ivory coast is dark horse of winning the world cup but are far from being favorite. Now for Jonathan to turn the tables or the tides on the King makers in Nigeria is he has to go for a people policy, a people policy puts extra Naira on every Nigerians pocket. A people policy will make sure the Lagos - Benini expressway is motorable throughout the year. A people policy will see jobs created in those middlebelts states.

He has the power of incumbency behind him but if he put people's policy in place b4 stepping down come 2011. Nigerians from the West to the East to the Middle-belts will be clamouring for him to run. It will be the whole country against the far North. If u want to win favours and elections in the Nigerian polity the South and the midllebelts state should be in the bag.

The problem with some these little minded Niger Deltans in NL, instead of them to focus their attention on their theiving Governors they go on talking about resource control as if the resources that would be controlled will end up in their pocket. In the last excess crude oil disbursement to the different states Bayelsa a state a known for having only one town the state capital - Yenogoa which was a glorified Village prior to state creation got $110 million dollars while a state like Oyo state with 3 big  cities in Ibadan 2 million, Ogbomosho 400,000 and Oyo 200,000  got $14 million dollars. With such statistcs in the public domain common sense will inspire any sane man to ask and question,  it might even be an inocent enquiry on what the hell is Sylvia doing with all that money.

We are all aware that Zamfara after paying her civil servants has only £2 million left yet Sylvia has $110 million dollars to spend and nobody is asking questions what he is doing with all that money.

I think the Niger Deltan freedom fighters as they call themselves will be happy if 98% of the oil revenue is accrued to her citizens whilst the rest of Nigeria wallow in abject poverty, the irony is the Niger Deltans will not be any diffrent from Equatorial Guineans where the President of the country is purported to have 20 accounts in US Banks with $700 million dollars in each account yet her citizens are living in abject and pitiable poverty.
