to all abusers,

U guys give it to that family, they have done well, to have 4 generations that has gone through Cambridge and contributed in no small measure towards the independence of our great nation is no small feat, some of u talking your immediate father's are not even graduates not to talk of your great garnd fathers who if I am not mistaking might be still be walking naked all over the place in the 1880's. angry

Stop abusing the man, his family is part of the history of this nation.

I have always said it, for Nigeria to have any semblance of development there must be a master plan of all 774 LG HQs, it dosent matter if it takes 200 years to acheive the overall plan, but each HQ must have a master plan that the executive arm of goverment would follow and adhere to. You cannot just be building roads and buildings wheely- neely without a plan what will emerge would be the chaos we have today.

At times I still wonder how these so called developed country can get it so right even to their villages. It is called Long term planning.

There is no reason why the student union President of Federal Polithenic Ilaro or Ogun State Uni cannot beat the Iyabos, Speaker Dimeji Bamidele or any other known Political heavy weight if and only if, INEC is prepared to make history and change the fortunes of Nigeria come 2011 for ever, by conducting and running a free and fair election just like the one in Ghana.

Professor Iwu can make history, I pray he makes history after all he is already a wealthy man. Like an ex-footballer once said about him getting one more big pay day contract, what different does it really make if a man retires with $51 million dollars in his bank account or $61 million dollars. Either way u look at it u are already a millionaire.

Anambrians that is your man make it happen, Nigeria needs more states in opposition hands.

After reading Ngige’s assertion and his comparable analysis of his tenure of 33 months against Obi’s 33 month tenure, I can deduce from that write up that Ngige is a man that knows his onions, he soul purpose for contesting the gubernatorial election is to actively seek genuine development to all Ananmbrian indigenes, this is a feat he as provingly achieved within the short spate of time spent at the helms of affairs.

Soludo on the other hand is a man that is fast drowning and needs to grasp at any visible obstacle in other to resuscitate an already dying career as a public officer, trust which is seen as paramount in any public servant’s resume seems to be wanting to a man like Soludo.

In his desperation for another shot at a public office he has resulted to ambiguous statement(I will transform Anambra State into Dubai ) and in coherent promises Anambrains should not be hoodwinked by this desperate tactics of dying political giant but should judge an already tried and tested public servant in no other person than Ngige without mincing a vote or having a second thought./quote]

Did you write that?

WHY DID you ask did I write that, u just make sure Soludo and PDP does not grasp a foothold in your state as I can see u are on the ground.

Like I said, stick to the topic. You are not improving on your logic which is just a futile attempt to tell us that political assassination is not WEST thing

Mr Man if u want us to go back to this political assassin thing then be my guest,

Political Assassin is common in the west because there are people in lagos who would actually beg u to name your enemy so that they can liquidate that person in favour of them getting a meal. The underlined anology is not prevalent in Anambra state hence the absence of such dastardly act in Anambra state.

On one of my numerous holiday in Nigeria, I can remember going to Lekki Beach one hot afternoon, around 12 noon. There on the beach where young men between the ages of 18 to 25 sitting down doing nothing but smoking Igbo. I said to myself how can this nation ever develop when her youths are wasting away in their prime productive lives.

These young men if I were to give them a few thousand Naira, they will take down anything even the Governor of the state if care is not taking. To compare the hoards of un-employed youths in Lagos with your little village state is a misnomer to say the least. I hope u get the picture.

Local in the context of my write up does not mean unprofessional but local to the enviroment.
Business › Re: I Will Transform Anambra Into Dubai - Soludo by KnowAll(m): 1:07pm On Sep 28, 2009
I believe the intent to take another man’s life is based on several factors, :-

1. One would have to ask himself or herself, If u don’t win this election is that the end of the world, most of the candidates for the Anambra Gubernatorial election are already successful businessmen, the idea of taking a human life would not be part of their agenda. They can always fall back to their businesses.

2. The availability of those peddling this dastardly act called assassination which as we all know are 10 a penny in Lagos.

3. Attention should be drawn to the fact that it is not that Anambra State has not got its own fair share of villains who can carry out assassinations but people for their own self cautiousness would not want to hire a local hoodlum who will one day spill the beans or result to blackmail tactics.

4. The individuals involved do they have the fear of God in them, I will never take another man’s life for election favours and so does so many people I know. I personally think it is despicable and a cowardly act.

"Are you now saying that Anambra politicians do not know where to get assasins to do their Job? How lame.  "

1.  Anambra Politicians would have to hire a seasoned hired assassin to carryout the evil work. They can only get such men from lagos. The reason why there is so much high profile killngs in other parts of the SW is because the SW states of Oyo, Ondo, Ogun, and Osun is easily assessable to lagos, in fact to all intent and purposes it is more or less a suburb of the Lagos Metropolitan area. A man lives Lagos early in the morning does a job and he is back in lagos by lunch time.

2. The Logistics of hiring an assassin from about 400 miles to Anambra would be a logistics nightmare for any would be hirer, where does he put up this wild, nefarious and uncontrollable human, does the contractor put him in his house, what of if he comes back and start blackmailing the hirer.
Business › Re: I Will Transform Anambra Into Dubai - Soludo by KnowAll(m): 11:44am On Sep 28, 2009
You dont get the point at all. It is not about who did the actual killing but who CONTRACTED the killing.

"It is fellow contestants that did the contracting of the assasination. Who ever executed it is inconsequential.  Anambra politicians fight dirty  but not enough to kill their opponents to stop them from winning. It has never happened before, "

There use to be a joke that when u go to marina around Obalande area, there are people who actually peddle this dark act of assassin by saying things like “ Oga u get enemy “ if that were the case, there is a huge tendency that a minor misdemeanour between colleagues could lead to extreme action without thinking it through, that is what Lagos has to offer to potential Politicians which I assume is absent in Anambra State or other states in Nigeria. If this same unenviable social malice where to repeat itself in Anambra state as in Lagos state,  Assasination would be 10 a penny in Anambra State.

"Yes The Yorubas killed funsho Williams because he wanted to become governor of lagos state.

In the our state, we have never heard anything like that and will never hear it. we have value for human life.

I love my people."

Don’t forget that Lagos being the commercial capital of Nigeria, all types of vagrants, un-employed, hired assassins, are ready to ploy their evil trade to the lowest bidder, a man’s life can be taking for less than N5,000.00 in lagos. The fact that Funsho Williams was a Yoruba man, the perpetuators of this heinous crime might be from any of the 400 tribes of Nigeria, Lagos being a microcosm of Nigeria. To rule out an Igbo man as the apparent assassin with the huge population of Igbos in lagos would be a non starter it could be anybody.

To find or hire a hired assassin in Abeokuta, Akure, Ibadan or Oshgbo would probably land u at the hands of the law enforcement agency, the thought of a hired assassin lurking in such backwaters for a pontential client is inconceivable.

Why are you awusas so dumb? So because the financial corruption is over 7 years, it should not be prosecuted? And you said it's being done that way in the west and UK specifically? Which west and UK are you referring to? Do you mean the west and UK in northern nigeria?
How dumb you iddiot is? So nigerian government should stop seeking to recover your almajri brother abacha's loot in Swiss and UK banks because it's already more than 7 years? How dumb these people are and they were supposed to live in the same ONE country with my people?
So as Halliburton's corruption case in nigeria happened over 7 years ago, it should be forgotten? So all the financial corruption cases that are over 7 years should be forgotten? From which planet are you dumb awusas from for goodness sake? How dumb a people's reasoning can be, i ask, how dumb.

Ewu awusa, that is not the point here. The point is if in your warped brain and logic, Ribadu is currently not the chairmperson of the EFCC as you pointed out which is the reason why he should not have anything to do with your northern nigerian heros who stole nigeria blind. So what concerns the same ribadu with hounding Ibori when he is not currently the chairperson of the EFCC? Can you leave out if Ibori is a thief or not and answer this question?

The problem with men with chicken brain like you is, u cannot institute a legal case of corruption if the so called case is beyond 7 years of the offence happening, that is how it is practised in the west and the UK specifically. For Ribadu to start digging up cases for incidents that happend in the late 70's and early eighties when most of the principle actors and players have left this world is not only a daft proposition, it is also and would be an exercise in futility with no merits to anybody, can u hear yourself. I beg go and get a life, u are clearly and definately an illetrate who does not know anything about law and jurispundence.

Ibori is trying to hide and run from his own shadow, it is guilty conscience that is worrying Ibori, he had better own up to the atrocities he has committed whilst in office in the name of resources control. The only resouce that has being controlled is that a cheap credit card fraudster has become a billionaire overnight and the Nigeria state with all its learned fellow and men of honour can do nothing about it.

You are an illetrate or you talk like one, Ribadu is not a court, he was the chairman of the EFCC for only 7 years and does not have the mandate to try all these Northerners u mentioned in your article. If you have anything against these individuals I am sure a court cannot be too far from where u live. You must seek redress at the appropiate place and do not drag Ribadu into something b4 his time. He can raise money internally just like Fashola, but that is reasonable, he should be saying things like he would create employment, build roads, and provide an enabling enviroment for business which would create wealth, but saying he would transform Anambra State into Dubai in 8 years, is punching way below the waist knowing he has already completed a botched job at the CBN. Politicians should stop promising what they cannot deliver. We are not idiots, the world is a global village and the sights and signs of Dubai is only a click away.

If the EFCC where doing their jobs well enough how come a common credit card fraudster who has already being convicted in the UK be allowed to run as an executive Governor in Nigeria. Ribadu should not absolve himself from that EFCC tasked with vetting the criminal records of all political nominations.
Politics › Re: Abacha's Son 'to Enter Politics' by KnowAll(m): 9:36am On Sep 27, 2009
The problem with Nigeria is election results are altered and rigged on behalf of one party, personalty or a group of people, we do not know what it means to have a proper free and fair election. Once a celebrity or a current or past Public Officer's name is mentioned it is assumed in Nigeria that personalty has already won the election hence Abacha's son or Soludo. We as a nation should disdain from such foolish assertions and focus on making election results counts.

If Winston Churchill could lose an election in 1948 just after winning the second world war then anything is possible in politics. The Goverment should make votes count and speak for themselves, the sooner we let our votes takes its natural course the later and the untimely death of Godfatherism and Celebrity voting which will auger well for our infant democracy. The good thing about free and fair elections is that Godfathers and other political thugs go into hiding they knowing that the masses would make the final decision and if any Godfather wish to throw money at the election it could well mean an exercise in futility

Soludo's 1st lie b4 becoming Governor, I do not see how Soludo can possiblly turn Anambra state into a new Dubai on a monthly allocation of just over N3 Billion Naira a month or £12 million pounds. It is either he is still suffering from the de-orientation associtiated with punch drunk or in his own case Stewardship laxity and gross incompetence whilst being the Governor of Central Bank or he is high on substance abuse.
Politics › Re: Improving Road Networks In Nigeria by KnowAll(m): 5:35pm On Sep 13, 2009
That will be a great idea. One problem with nigeria is that nothing really works. Our political class has a way of inventing corruption in all sectors. How i wish this idea works.

The whole Idea about this project was it would be one big ring road around Nigeria.

The first stage - Badagry to Sokoto

The Second stage - Sokoto to Maiduguri with arteries to Kano and Kaduna.

The 3rd stage - Maiduguri to Calabar- that is from the NE to the SE- with arteries to Yola, Markurdi, Enugu, Owerri

The 4th stage East to West Coastline Road that is from Calabar to Port Harcourt to the Coastal towns of Rivers then to the costal towns of Delta state to Ondo State back to Lagos State through Epe and then to Lekki Penisula. It would have gone full circle when it gets back to Lagos.

When it was first muted Nigeria was a very rich nation with a strong currency, I dont think any goverment today would want to embark on such a project it would cost millions if not billions of dollars.

Politics › Re: Politicians Should Change Tack And Invest In Nigeria by KnowAll(op): 5:15pm On Sep 13, 2009
To think that James Ibori bribed the EFCC boss a mouth waterung sum of $15 million dollars to save his neck, is not only q callaous thing to do but it is also mind boggling. 15 MILLION DOLLARS can do a lot on the ground for Delta State, jus imagine what could have built in Warri, Sapele that has being neglected for years, Ugelli and Asaba. Just connecting these towns on mini light rail would have great things to the economy of delta state.

I swear on a salary of N1 million a month no other benefits for me I will turn that state into an heaven on Earth.
Politics › Re: Improving Road Networks In Nigeria by KnowAll(m): 5:03pm On Sep 13, 2009
God Knows what happened to the Badagry to Sokoto Motoway that was conceived and was to be built by the OBJ/Murital regime. It was first muted around 1976 but went into the cooler but was reussrected during the second Republic between 1979 to 1983 but the military struck and that was the end of the project.

This project would be great as it would run from the SW part of Nigeria to the NW part of Nigeria that is from Badagry in Lagos State to Sokoto in Sokoto State, with arteries to major towns like Ibadan , Ilorin and Abuja. God knows whether this project would be revamped again, the pressure on the current Lagos - Ibadan - Oyo- Ogbomosho to Ilorin is overwhealmed.

I know more than 20 Nigerians that have spent £5000 on a TV set.

My friend you cannot compare a tv set with a baby Pram, a TV set is self gratifying entertainment item, any thing that would give you that instant self gratification people would pay top dollar for it, u want a 60" set you go for it, it satisfies your quest for having what u conceive as a cinematic effect in the home front, so I see nothing wrong in that. Neither do I have problem if someone chooses to buy a Bentley and pay monthly for it, that is self gratifying.

Secondly Naija guys use stolen and cloned credit cards to buy expensive electronics like TVs, Top end mobile phones and laptops, my TV is worth £4000 pounds but rather than buy it from the shop which I have no issues with, I shopped around for our boys who has taking fraud as a profession and I bought it from them at half price I paid just under £2000.00. I repeat I dont have issue if you choose to buy it from the shop at full price I just felt it was good value for money for me to buy it from these chaps, I am not condoning or encouraging it is just the way things are. undecided

It is a measure of how rotten the country has become and the low perceptions of Nigerians, that a 'Nigerian' spending big in London is presumed to be a thieving politician.

I will like to challenge you, thank God your location is showing london, how many Nigerian Professional in London do you know that have spent that kind of money on a Pram. No matter how much you earn, no reasonable Nigerian Professional will spend what could easily be the deposit of a second car for the wife on a baby pram which will be used for tops 2 years and dumped somewhere where it would be gather dust.

Secondly why would anybody want to spend that kind of money on basically something that has not got a re-sale or second hand value whatsoever. It is clear from the other post No Nigerians in diasporas what billions, we all ran here to make some money for ourselves how many Nigerians in diaspoara can seriolusly say they have a million cash in their bank accounts. I am not talking of house valuation, I am talking of raw cash.

We all know such amounts are not alien even to our local goverment Chairmen not to talk of the almighty Governors, Ministers and ex presidents.
