You people are missing d point. !!! The Governor is simply shifting d responsibility of joining APC to saraki knowing d so called APC leaders would not go and meet Saraki. On what or as what capacity would they meet Saraki? The Governor was smart not commiting himself or state to a new party, , he simply diplomatically and kindly declined an APC invitation. |
We expect finger prints in elections not the charade we have at d moment. As it is, i have a vague inkling who is going to win d Anambrs elections even b4 A vote is cast. Elections in Nigeria is just a sham. |
Why would any sane Anambrian want to vote Obanio ? Even a blind can see and perceive this dirt from a million miles away let alone being submerge in d filt like this shameless man called d Governor of Anambra State. |
For baba iyabo to come out to say jonathan said so it means it is true. Uncle jona 4 years don come and go in a whimsical, no be your fault, na so e dey be, too much enjoyment does not make a man know say time don go!!! |
I watched d debate and as an independent observer, this how I rate d debaters: 1st - The young dark man not d Professor. 2nd - Ngige 3rd - The Professor 4th and d last and least Obanio. We all know d young man has not got a chance in hell winning. Given this obvious fact Ngige should carry d day, any thing short of this would be a serious mis-carriage of justice. You may beg to differ !!! ![]() |
Buhari - Has proven himself, I need not waste time telling you about the antecedence of this incorruptible General. As a former Head of State and a crusader of Good Governance, so far he is the most scrutinized Nigerian Leader ever and yet nothing concrete or conclusive has being found. So the people's General takes the number one position as the foremost un-bribe-able Nigerian. ![]() Ribadu - for not accepting Ibori's $15 million bribe. Not many men born of a woman can turn such a mouth watering largesse down!! Bakare- for turning down Jonathan's Bribe money of $50,000.00 transport fee, an under-hand bribery expenses from Abuja to Lagos, even some of us who are supposedly multi-millionaires in dollars would still accept this paltry sum, but not Bakare, So kudos to Bakare. I hope no one heard me thinking aloud!!!) typical Naija wey of reasoning!!! Balarabe Musa- A Champion for the Talakawas- "The poor in the North" ( An Aminu Kano Protégé) he is another man who cannot be swayed easily by bribe he is a bit old now......sad but a very very reliable champion of the poor without a shadow of doubt.!!1 ![]() Pat Utomi - Although I hear he is infallible, I would say at this juncture he has not being tested, tempted or cajoled with large sums of money, but for the benefit of doubt I would reluctantly include his name with the satisfaction that the jury is still out on him. ![]() It is strange I cannot come up with more trust worthy Nigerians, looks like they are million miles apart from each other, e be like say Naija is really doomed damn it.!!!1 ![]() |
A friend once told me when his friends, family members and collegues were running to USA, UK and Canada amongst other nations in d world looking for greener pasture that he ran to Abuja in d late 90's. Today that man that ran to Abuja is a serious millionare In dollars. Many that ran to those exotic wesrern nations can only envy our Abuja man. The last time he came to England I summoune up courage and asked him how did he make his money in Abuja without being in Goverment or being a Politician. He said he started a marble supply firm in Abuja in d 90's and a lot of those big mansions in Abuja his firm supplied d marble used in those powerful houses. So ladies and Gentlemen just do d maths. You can see that there is money everywhere. He said Abuja is a growing city, once d city needs a service and u are on ground to provide that service u would make money. That is how this gentleman made it in life. So d moral of dis experience abroad is not always d key to successs, we should all endeavour to look inwards at d opportunities at home especially in a city like Abuja. |
The commuinty is even an ear-shot of d capital. According to d report it is within d Yenogoa LG Area, obviously something is very seriously wrong with d so called leaders of that state including Mr President. ![]() |
Anambrians what are your take on this matter!!!! |
Ngige has been there b4, worn the t-shirt and delivered. So no one should expect anything short from what he did when he was at the helms of affair of this state. He is said to have delivered in 3 years what Obi has not done in 8 years. This definitely calls for some sort of 'salivation' and begs the question, what if he were there for 8 years, what would Anambra look like now , that can be anyone's guess!!!! ![]() Ifeanyi Ubah, the man is talking the talk, can he walk the walk? in his role as a private man, he has delivered some first, he brokered the furios imbroglio between Alaba Traders and Lagos State Government, he personally paid for the onward journey of some stranded Igbo Traders in china to Nigeria. Men who have lost hope of ever seen there beloved country and he contributed a certain amount of money towards a disaster that happened in china Not that China needs the money, it is more of the gesture than any other-thing. No doubt about it, this man has the ears of the second largest economy in the world at his beck and call. That could translate to some sumptuous investment opportunity between Anambra State and China. I personally prefer him, although Ubah winning the election would be a long short. He is the dark horse in this race. ![]() Obanio, he reminds me of the relationship between Fashola and Tinubu. The difference is Obanio has never been in Goverment b4 while Fashola was Tinubu's Chief of staff for 8 years. One wonders why Obi did not choose his chief of staff or better still his finance Commissioner has his next of kin. Obi is the only one who knows the answer to this very important pertinent question. Who is Obanio, with no experience in Government, what is he bringing unto the table. His Resume looks good, but the rumour banded about that he would be there as a true 'lackey' to Obi seems a very palusible and scared one. He is taunted to be Obi's 'yes man' or fall-guy, if Obi tells him to jump, his answer 9 out of 10 times would be 'how high sir' if care is not taken Anambraians by voting Obanio might be given Obi a 3rd and a possible 4th term. But then Obanio might just be his own man, when his coronation has been concluded he would defile, ignore, and pursue his own Agenda. After all nobody knew Fashola would perform extra-ordinarily when he took over from his boss and mentor. Fashola has not only re-defined Governance in Nigeria, he has raised the bar of Governance in Nigeria making world renowned leaders like Clinton, Cameron, and many others to sing praises of his Governance style and his general decorum. Obanio might catch this bug of change and being his own man as suppose to being a yes-sir man for some old spent force. I believe Obi wants to be the 'Tinubu of the East', but can he really pull it off , considering Igbo's have always had an independent mind-set when it comes to decision making. Obanio might, and I wish he raises the bar from the lackluster performance of Obi to a higher level. If Obanio were to follow his God given Igbo instinct then it suffices me to conclude that all 3 front-runners are good men and the state, community, and region that would gain the most, if any of these 3 Gentlemen were to be elected are the Anambrians. So Anambrians should be celebrating the 3 front-runners and only hope Obanio would not turn-out to be a 'yes-sir' man to Obi. ![]() |
Mr original poster , Go to d big towns of Nnewi, Onitsha and akwa take a random sample of a 1000 votes in each of these towns and post d result here. That random sampling would give u a rough idea of what d voting pattern would be on d-day. Not making lagosians and londoners vote on an election that does not concern them. |
Una sure say FFK no dig this woman. We all know FFK no dey see Igbo babe with that im opolo (frog) eye. ![]() |
The bottomline is u can not defeat a an army on ground. We have 160 million people if we send in 1 million people to camerooon overtly and covertly. It would be difficult for d french to win a gurellia war. Has Nigeria won d skirmishes against boko haram. Even in Mali d French has withdrawn b4 d tides start turning against them. |
That is why I like IBB, during the Anini saga in old Bendel state, Reporters asked President Babangida, "how come Anini has not being caught", he turned around and asked the IGP who was to his right, answer the question Mr IGP, where is Anini? Jonathan should have just passed the buck to the service chiefs especially the Chief of Army Staff and the Joint chief of staff to answer and clarify the situation of Sheukau. |
Actually Oshun state's IGR was - 300 million b4 Aregbesola but today it is according to a report by the man of d moment Aregberascal - 1.6 Billion Naira a month |
Some amazing statistics. 1. Lagos State - IGR b4 Fashola - 600 million a month- today - 20 billion a month 2. Ekiti State - IGR B4 Fayemi - 150 million-today - 1 Billion 3 Oshun State -IGR B4 Emperor Ogbeni Aregbesola - 150 million - Today about 1 Billion I do not have the statistic of AKWA IBOM, RIVERS, EDO and IMO State. |
The Bottom-Line whoever steals even one kobo must be jailed not to talk of Billions of Naira. Do you know these Governors are impoverishing their people, my sincere remedy is for these Gluttons-In-Power to spend at least 6 months in Jail with hard-Labour. Many of these bastards would not come out alive. They are use to living in air-conditioned houses, air-conditioned cars and air-conditioned offices. Gani Fawehinmi the people's Lawyer was sent to Gashua Prison in Yobe state, a very dusty prison with temperatures of over 100 Celsius. The accumulation of excessive dust was what trigger the cancer of the lungs the man died off. He was never a smoker. So some of these bastards-in-power need to go to that prison and test and see what millions of Nigerians are going through. |
This city should put all our class A Governors to shame. What d FG, State & LG cannot do has been done by this community and they are Nigerians like me and you. Kudos GO and his crew. |
By 2015, we would be choosing d next Generation of new Governors. What I term 3rd Generational Governors. These Governors must and should raised d bar further from what transpired during d time of the first & second Generational Governors. The first Generational Governors where those that ruled from 1999 to 2007 and their primary roles were basically bench warming, they were real bench warmers, nothing of note happened in virtually all the states in the federation. There was no shining stars amongst them, no extra ordinary projects delivered among them apart from paying civil servant salaries. But d good thing about them is they made sure democracy was ingrained and fully established in d polity. Even d best Governor amongst them "Tinubu" who despite d FG holding her allocation for 8 years still manage to deliver some semblance of dividends of democracy using d new " buzz word" in administrative wizardly "Internal generated revenue". This source of revenue is what Tinubu bestowed on to all in-coming second Generational Governors. These Second Generational Governors took the tutelage on board and raised this new dynamic financial ingenuity into loftier heights. Today, 2nd Generational Governors like Fashola, Fayemi, Aregbesola, Rochas, Akpabio, Amechi , Chima, and Oshiemolen of Edo State have capitalized on this new 'financial manna' and start doing things for their respective state, invariably pushing the overall GDP of the nation to much respectable level. The once almighty FG looks like a far away Government in the far-away city of Abuja. So d game has been raised, no slacking anymore from d next set of Governors. There have been some disappointment thus, one of the newer 3rd Generational Governor has actually started on a very bad note, Kogi state Governor, a pilot, and a man one would believe have seen the world has followed in the inglorious step of his predecessor, I hope his case would be an isolated case of mal-administration. The bug of internal generated revenue and visibly infrastructural projects I believe is now the norm and minimally the accepted standard that all in-coming 3rd Generational Governors should adhered to. Anambra state is going for an election in November I hope they choose a dynamic leader, who would hit the ground running. Moving and pushing the state to the next level, no matter who is elected from the 4 major parties vying for the top job. In d North, Kwankwaso's second coming has been revolutionary . It is like a scale has fallen off from d man's eye, the 3rd Generational bug has caught up with d man like a flue. Also worthy to mention in d north is the Jigawa State Governor, who has always been the sole lone shinning star in d north b4 d second coming of kwankwoso. I believe if 70% of revenue accrued to a state is spent wisely and judiciously it would be a matter of time b4 El-dorado suffice in Nigeria There one was shinning star amongst d first Generational Governor's that i forgot to mention thus. That man became a Governor way too early but made sure his name is written in gold, and he would and should be recognized as the real front-runner as one of the very first "infrastructural disciples" in the country. That man was Donald Duke. 3 of his wonderful ideas, are still very much in existence today, they are Obudu ranch, Tinapa shopping Arena and the Calabar Carnival . That carnival has now being replicated in both Lagos & Rivers state respectively. Tinapa at the moment might look like a failure today but may well be a success in d years to come. |
People should realise jonathan just dey yearn. He has to say something now, I am sure he no mean am. Send troops to somilia when Maiduguri and Borno state is under-soldiered. Haba d man just dey yearn make una free am. |
Governors nowadays have learned d secret of Governance very well. ( d key word spoil your legislators) some time ago d wives of Oyo state legislators went to London for some vague course6. If d wives can be spoilt like this, what do u think would be d husbands largesse. |
Those Benin City Roads are a million times better than $20 Billion Rivers State Roads. Amechi just like his co-patriots Akapabio is a thief. It takes a corrupt man to know another corrupt man.!!1 ![]() |
This Governor definitely does not deserve a second term. Nassrawa State Governor stakeholders in Nasarawa State have asked Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to explain why he allegedly spent N1.5 billion on his son’s wedding in the United States (U.S.). |
This thread is to show the awfulness, ineptness and cluelessness of some of our Governors especially those on their second terms. The aim of the thread is to enlightening the electorate as to the kind of person they should choose to lead their respective states during the next election cycle. I saw a thread about the inglorious stewardship of Orji Kalu's mandate in Abia State, this thread is where to proof or disprove beyond reasonable doubt that the man Orji Kalu is worse than useless. Obviously all facts and counter-allegation must be shown with relevant photographs in order to buttress your points, arguments or dissatisfaction. Jonathan Ebele Goodluck is not exempted, already there is one thread showing the awful state of the national stadium in Surulere, Lagos. This thread can actually act as a catalyst for those under the burner to buckle up, change tact and start delivering. We all saw how the awful pictures depicting the state of disrepair at the Police College Ikeja touched the President's sensibilities. Mr President had to order an immediate overhaul of that facility which was thankfully and speedily carried out. So this thread is not all bleak and doom. Good tidings might come out of it. There is also another thread querying the un-imaginative open Gutters that litters our cities in Nigeria, as we speak, roads are still been built today using these horrendous technique where open sewage in a mosquito infested region is allowed to fester without, thought or control. How are we suppose to eradicate the scourge of Malaria when open-guttering is the order of the day in our Towns and Cities in the year 2013 not 1931 So Ladies and Gentlemen post those horrible pictures in your states that needs urgent surgical attention. |
What are the Civil Engineer Graduates doing in Nigeria. At the last count we have well over 250 Universities and Polytechnics in Nigeria, turning out Civil Engineer Graduates like confetti. Yet we have Auschwitz(Auschwitz being the concentration camp where millions of jews died in 1945) type gutters scattered all over our cities, even in the creame de la creame areas of our cities, areas like VI, Ikoyi and probably Maitama(I hope Maitama does not fall into this category of penny wise pound foolish technology) in Abuja. |
Do not cut your nose to spite the face, that seems to be the attitude of the FG. They abandoned their properties in Lagos to spite the APC Government in Lagos yet they did not know they are harming themselves. Even the Igbo votes they are banking on to rescue them in time of elections would abandon them. The Igbo-Lagosians are sophisticated voters like the Yoruba's in Lagos. The same FG is making a lot of money on the ports in Apapa and Tin-Can Island yet they would not fix the road to the port or even build a trailer park for the numerous trailer that are park around Malu Road. |
Everybody does it. Go and check d Governor's wife, what she is doing in d state. Check d Governor'wife's brother, sister, mother, father, neice & nephew what they are up too when their in-law became d Governor. That is just d Governor's wife's family, we have not talked about d Governor's siblings brothers, sisters, cousin e.t.c we all do it. Let us don't pretend. One person i know that was fair to society was late Gani d Lawyer. He hired people who he never knew from adams in his chambers. He was a sefless man. Not many men are made like that. |
Sell d bloody thing !!!!!! I am sure Lagos State would make use of that prime land than d eyesore we have today. |
If poor jamica can do it why can't rich Nigeria. And to think VI is one of d most exclusive neigbourhood in Africa is beyond believe. What is difficult in digging d ground and burying a big pipe undergtound that would take d sewers to d sea. Na waoh, to even think world acclaimed eko atlantic city would be built just adjacent VI is something i don't get. Fashola fall my hand for this one oh!!!! ![]() |
If d federal govt does not want this edifice they should sell it to lagos state goverment or private individual. That stadium is on prime land which can be developed into an exclusive housing estate with all d mod coms. |
It is simple, if FG Plans impeachment of the Governors, they d Governors would also plan d impeachment of d president through their men in the house reps and Senate....... Shikena, abi oh!!!!!! |
Is it not surprising just when a court martial has been constituted for saboteurs in the Army, the hidden cells within the rank and file of our soldiers launched there biggest strike, Are they not telling those officers who would pass the death sentence on their colleagues to think twice b4 making their judgement. ![]() |
