Amedino99: would have believed this story but when it got to the third paragraph i remembered a similar story of Ronaldo that matches this one. The next paragraph was just changing of names exact same story. The stories are too alike to be coincidence Possible my man,James Obiorah was brought to Ilorin to join Kwara bomber by another player Taofeek Babatunde, the two players met in Eaglet camp of Japan 93 team, both were dropped but Taofeek saw something good in James Obiorah and both made Kwara bomber team of 1993 and James Obiorah later captained eaglet 95 joined Anderlecht but Taofeek could not make it as a footballer, played local league till he quit.... Another story,Dele Aiyenigba was Enyimba first choice before Vincent Enyeama joined but Dele willingly step aside for Enyeama in a friendly match and that particular match gave Enyeama break through for eagles invitation to 2002 WC and following week he kept against Kenya and made the team... Enyeama reciprocated when leaving his old club in Israel for another Israeli club by recommended Dele Aiyenigba without trial he was signed...some players have simiar story of CR7 and JayJay.... Check out how Celestine Babayaro made it and Emma Babayaro contributions but the same Emma couldn't make it.Honestly as humans we have a lot to say about growing up and our breakthrough career wise, some made it through the same scenario. |

eddie7: *Austin Jay Jay Okocha's lesson!*. *When he received one of his awards recently, Okocha dedicated it to a certain ... Victor Agbo Then said: "Yes I am a great footballer and all my success is due to my friend Victor good heart" People looked at one another and said, "Who is this Mr. Agbo?"*
*Then Okocha went on: "We played together in a youth team. When Enugu Rangers recruiters came to observe us, they told us that the striker who scored the most goals will be recruited into the sports academy.*
*That day we won 3-0. I scored the first goal and then Victor scored the 2nd with the head. And then the 3rd goal was the one that impressed everyone. Victor started from the wing, then found himself face to face with the keeper, dribbled the goalkeeper and all he had to do was to push the ball into the empty goal post . In the meantime I was running to his side and instead of shooting into the empty goal post, Victor decided to pass the ball to me and I scored. This is how I found myself at the Enugu Rangers youth team. After the game I went to him, and asked him "why did you do that?" And he replied, "Because I know that you are better than I am and You will go far in life in this game, you needed that push* "
*Curious to know more, the journalists began to investigate and were able to meet this Victor Agbo to ask him if the story told by Okocha is true, and he confirmed it, adding that his career as a footballer ended after that match as it was the only opportunity to become professional but i was sure Okocha would go far and do better. So I remained unemployed fulfilled and happy.*
*However, journalists, observing his luxurious house and his fleet of cars parked in the garage asked Victor "but being unemployed how could you have such a house and cars and living so luxuriously? You seem rather comfortable physically " Victor's answer: "All that? .. is Okocha ".*
*Moral of this story: Let us ask ourselves the following question: How many of us have ever done something like Okocha and Victor? On the contrary, many of us show the opposite of this story displaying selfishness and ingratitude.*
*Friends! Let's help one another to succeed, don't think blocking that intelligent, talented and good fellow can add to your ordained destiny. You can not go nor have beyond what God has destined for you. Helping another person to succeed can only make your life better and above all guarantee a blissful hereafter for you.*
*Victor might not have made it big like Okocha, and Okocha might still have made it in another way but Victor wouldn't have had access to such Luxury. You see life! Open your heart and broaden your thinking. Be an abundant mentality personality. God will always be there at your own point of need too.*
*And when we help a person to succeed, the latter must never forget those who contributed to his success. Whether they forget or not, God doesn't abandon His own. *Above all, we should never forget that God is watching and He will judge us.* *Life is all about Your CONTRIBUTION and never about your POSSESSION!* Yes true story.. Jay Jay damn too nice.i had close contact with him through a friend known as Saka in football circle in Ilorin a very close ally of Okocha and i want to say financially my friend benefitted more from JayJay and till today they still maintain their relationship and through JayJay my good friend had more SE friends like Amokachie,Kanu and Tijani Babangida.I remeber JayJay footed my friend bills to watch him live in Paris. |

TheSuperNerd: Amunike was part of 2 different generation of U17 teams that brought Glory to the country and also went on to produce players for the Senior national team, forming the core of the current team.
Spain just appointed a coach who worked with most Spanish lads at U19, U21 levels and he is also schooled in his own philosophy of the game. But more than anything, they obviously gave the job to a man who knows the lads.
We have similar scenario in Amunike, yet some Beer Parlour owner analyst (make I borrow Blueelf's words) is telling me Amunike lost to Sudan as if one loss in 50 games dampens the man's technical nous from the sidelines.
Played close to 50games, winning over 40 and losing just once thanks to your Bloody NFF and that is what erases his quality.
Just look at the rubbish take. No substance at all. Mtchewww. Imagine Nigeria at this stage still having foreign mediocre as coach. |

Peter Rufai is an overrated Legend
I can hardly see the hype he gets as a GK. Oga Blueelf,Nigerians who watched Ivory Coast afcon 84 and Maroc 88 will always rate Rufai. Peter Rufai of Afcon and US 94 was average compared to Rufai of 80s.Rufai came out when Africa produced the best GKs like Badou Zaki,Thomas Nkono,Antoinne Bell,Shoubeir and Jaques Songo, though i rate Enyeama better but Rufai was a class and i will never forget his heroic performance against Egypt during penalties shoot out @afcon84. |

Reason,Yahaya Bello after 2023 should be in jail but doing all he could do to have soft landing believing Tinubu is winning and the trade is simple,Faleke the Tinubu boy from Kogi State but representing Lagos in NASS is going for Kogi governor seat....all these charades is just for Yahaya to cover his atrocities and i pity Kogites especially the youths. |

Daninya33:
Let's say, you as head coach of the S.E was playing at the finals with our boys and the game was headed towards P.K. At your disposal, you have Dele Aiyenugba,Dele Ajiboye and Vincent Enyeama on the bench. Who will go for?. Who do you think is a better P.K shot stopper amongst the trio?.
I was just imagining that one day we have a game heading towards P.K and we all know it seems the trio of Uzohu, Okoye And Adeleye are now what we have to make do with. Who amongst them can get the job done.
If I were a coach,I must ensure I have a goalkeeper who is a specialist in saving penalty kicks. They must come handy in some decisive game.
Dele Aiyenigba and Dele Ajiboye are real penalties stopper right from grassroots while Enyeama learnt it from his buddy Aiyenigba in Enyimba.....hmmm Okoye and Uzoho i don't know o,even long distance shots dey enter net. |

So far me o, I won't change a goalie just cos of penalties. Truth is penalties are largely a game of chance. I remember Enyimba do sub in Dele Aiyenigba for Enyeama when games are going to be decided by penalties.... Yes game of chance but i can tell you Dele then was assured when it comes to penalties,at least saving two penalties guaranteed. |
