So we should invite a clubless nwakali that hasn't had up to 180 minutes of first team football, a 31 year old Rabiu Ibrahim, relatively unknown Ipabilo, iyayi and whatever to the Super Eagles as what?

To waste another 4 years trying to build a team? Una really deserve Eguavoen. Smh
Sir,during afcon I was of opinion that Aribo was better but watching Ghana match again.....Nwakili just need to shake up his career or he forget it.Alex Iwobi should have been a sure bet based on his pedigree but only Ndidi looked convincing.

Nigeria midfield presently is an eyesore and the worst in super eagles history....this is a country that produced Henry Nwosu,Etim Esin,Austin Okocha,Wilson Oruma,Mikel Obi and like of James Obiorah,Emma Ebiede,Dodo Avaa,Duke Udi,Christian Obodo,Haruna Lookman then what is the issue now, something must be wrong somewhere and we must fix it ASAP.

To be fixed urgently, goalkeeping and midfield....a good goalkeeper trainer to psyche Okoye and Uzoho up and give us at least two talented keepers to compete with the duo.....our midfield need massive reenforcement.

To rePair our midfield, we have to tolerate Players from obscure leageues and see what they can do.
Below are a list of midfielders that we should try in our friendlies. The next friendlies should be used to exPeriment with our midfield

1. Ovie Ejaria
2. Kelechi nwakali
3. Rabiu Ibrahim
4. Alhassan yusuf
5. Iyayi Believe Atiemwen
6. Jack IPalibo
7. James Igbekeme

etc and others i dont know or remember
We dont have many good midfielders in the toP leagues of euroPe but
that does not neccesarily mean they are not good.
in Particular Alhassan Yusuf must be considers as he is doing wll for royal antwerP in Belgium
What of Obinna Nwobodo.

You can ask immobile and co for Italy

Na coach be our problem and not players

Look at how Villarreal kicked out mighty Bayern ,the gap between Villarreal and Bayern is the same gap between naija and Ghana

No too reason am ,Move on my brother ,enjoy European football for now ,when the World Cup begins we should also support african teams
Andrew baba,Yes coach and No coach.

Question to ask do we really have the synergies possessed by the teams our players features week in week out, check out our quality in the midfield and compare it to that of Villarreal or Leicester team.

Andrew, until we address the real issue which is our midfield,no coach will succeed with Ndidi,Etebo,Aribo formation .When Jay jay left Mikel was able to fit in though not as Okocha does it.Time to have real midfielder to dictate the pace....am not really sold on Aribo again cos he was damn too poor against Ghana and his performance in Afcon was average and Iwobi is on and off player cos on a good day by now Iwobi should be our real man in the midfield with Ndidi.

Check out,Calvin Bassey performance against Lyon,Iheanacho against man utd,Osimehn recent scoring spree,Awoniyi performance this season,Onuachu always on headlines,Sanusi doing it with Porto,Maduka good with Rotterdam,Iwobi recent form,Sadiq scintillating performance this season,Chuckwueze net a winning goal against Bayern but these guys and the rest performances in GWG always poor.

Imagine a team with Victor Osimehn,Paul Onuachu,Taiwo Awoniyi underperforming just due to bad midfield,no clear cut chances from our midfield, damn disjointed on the field, always playing like strange fellows.

In coming coach must sat down and find lasting solution to the sorry state of our midfield. How I wish Iwobi can come alive and shoulder the responsibility just like he is doing in Everton of late.

They won't go to court.

Their response is a normal PR response from organisations. It almost like a generic response for organisations.

Nwakali accused them of paying him late and withholding his wages, this is even provable with his bank's statement of account showing the dates of his wage payment.

Only this one accusation alone will put them in trouble .

I'm sure they are probably settling with him as we speak.
It is just a pity that once highly rated youth player find himself in a situation like this...Huesca of all club.....Kelechi should just shake things up and rebuild his career

I would have said same words if I was in Victor shoes

This 1994 set think they own the super eagles or they love Nigeria better than the current crop of players where as the few amongst them who later become coaches have gone kill our national team oliseh and now Equeavon

This men won't rest they see the super eagles as birth right and when you give them to manage they'll kill the team their mates elsewhere are making progress and managing football federations here none of them is even state FA chairmen all they do is to criticise and when u ask them to coach the outdated 1994 philosophy is all they have upstairs
Oga humility the issue was not about 94 set but Ikpeba as a pundit on live TV said Victor Osimehn would have done better than taking the bicycle kicks. If Ikpeba said this to the press after the match then i can say NO NO Ikpeba damn wrong but as pundit,Osimehn should just chill and let it slide.

I can tell you the first bicycle kick i was like NO cos Lookman was beside Osimehn and all Osimehn need was just a dummy move to confuse Ghana defence..but do we really blame Osimehn NO,that is football.

I do not see players reacting to pundit verdicts.I guessed some Osimehn loyalists must have told him what Ilpeba said

Sir,just reading about two Victors and i want to say not happy this is happening between an ex player and current one.

One question did Ikpeba said this as pundit on TV or went to press after the match? If he said this on live TV as pundit then nothing wrong even i watching the match live said to a friend that Osimehn need to calm down cos i saw Lookman saying something like Osimehn am here after a bicycle kick inside.18 yard box but do we blame Victor NO,he was eager for our qualification.......

....i do not want to talk about Oshoala cos women will always act like women.

If truly it was on live TV Ikpeba said this and Victor Osimehn reacted like this then he need to be called to order that such criticism will always bring the best out of him especially from some one who has seen it all.

I remeber how Omeruo wife reacted to Okocha criticism and i was like what a hell imagine my wife calling out my boss for criticising me......i think our players should learn from some one like Mikel who does not react to undue criticism.....Osaze Odewengie said something about Mikel openly but Mikel did not replied and i do not think Mikel was even aware or he just let it to slide....Mikel response to Okocha criticism of 2014 WC team was too mature ''he said i hate it when those that played the games talk ill of present players'' but Okocha did not even said all these as pundit on live TV.

IF Ikpeba said this as Pundit,Osimehn should keep uiet but if he goes to the press to say this then Ikpeba was damn too wrong and should apologize to Osimehn.

Blaming games since Nigeria failed to qualify for Qatar 2022 but really surprised here we are running away from reality. but now foreign borns are the issue......it is simple Amaju led NFF just have to go.

Imagine since september 2014 with Amaju as NFF boss Nigeria won bronze in 2019 afcon snd RIO 2016 bronze. What can we say about state of NPFL.The league deteriorated so much that it seems there is no hope again. The under age team that is always a good platform for the future is totally down, the female team is not like before......The big question what is Amaju led NFF achievement in the last 7 years? am expecting answer like he branded and opened eagles to the world with sponsors.Anyone with this mindset should go into archive and check what Emeka Omeruah did for Nigeria football regarding branding and sponsorship.

This is the worst NFF ever with no blue print for Nigeria football.Imagine Samuel Eto in few months as Cameroon FA boss achieved what Amaju board can only boast for 7 years, won afcon bronze and world cup.ticket for Cameroon and here we are ranting on foreign borns as if they are not Nigerians, blaming coaches as if they just find themselves on the seat, leaving toothless NFF board that lack directions on the way forward.

NFF that keep on celebrating 2018 WC qualification as if we have not been to the same WC five times.Under this NFF we failed to qualify for afcon twice and now WC but here with.our knowledge about the game we are discussing issues as if administration has nothing to do with football success...everybody should listen there is no short cut to success.Truly Italy lost out but they won euro so we should stop that comparison, for God sake we failed to qualify for afcon quarter final and failed to make it to WC.

A well.organised football.administration always gives a solid foundation for real development not this present board who are ready to sacrifice Nigeria football just for FIFA seats, playing politics with the game that always keeping Nigerians happy in this very harsh economy situation, insecurity and corrupt government.

Who told you guys that those decamping are Lai Mohammed and Gbemi Saraki loyalists, seriously they are not but real guys who are foot soldiers of O'TOGE Kwara revolution that sent Saraki out. They felt being cheated by present governor and the only way out is to go to another party to prove to APC led government that if not for them the governor cannot win last election cos nobody know him but O'TOGE did the magic.

The political situation in Kwara now give Bukola Saraki upper hand cos i do not see once strong APC party that now gave way for SDP to defeat formidable PDP.

PDP is going to Kwara north for gubernatorial candidate and SDP likely to pick Kwara central man from where present APC governor came from leaving Kwara South as only open field to slug it out.....am seeing a block votes for PDP in Kwara north and 50 50 chance for APC,PDP and SDP in Kwara central, meaning Kwara central votes would be shared by PDP,SDP and APC.

There would be no massive edge in Kwara south votes amongs three major parties cos APC led government have Hijab crisis dangling and other parties will use this as a strong campaign cos in history of Kwara State hijab wearing has not been an issue.

If APC and SDP failed to.play their cards very well,PDP is likely to win Kwara governorship election cos the political permutation really favor them as it stand.

The Midfield is a much bigger issue for me than the GK dept.

Uzoho in Kumasi - The Epitome of Calm.

Uzoho in Abuja - The Epitome of Calamity.

And guess what... the Men who attacked Okoye so vehemently after our Afcon ouster kinda went soft on Uzoho by ignoring the blooper he committed in Abuja. This is because they all know that attacking Uzoho will absolutely cancel their attack on Okoye earlier in the year and make them all look stupid. grin

Fact still remains Uzoho have had better performances in the GWG compared to Okoye but both are really not reliable right now. We don't even know what to expect anymore. But I believe Okoye's recent form in Holland and potential to keep improving will make him better. Uzoho too can get better. Both are still young but need fiercer competition.

But you see that our midfield.... tufiakwa!!!! A midfield that cannot string even 7 Decent passes at once. 5 sef dey hard!!!! Our sequence of plays in the middle is just terrible and even when we try to bypass the middle, we don't execute the bypass well at all!!!

We need to stop calling up players only based on the fact that they feature in Top 5 leagues. We need to have a mix of doing just that for the sake of merit and also inviting midfield lads that carry actual tactical solutions for our Middle game.

For instance, based on top 5 leagues ratings, we call up Ndidi, Bonke, Onyeka and Etebo. All of which are Defensive minded MF juggernauts. All we have here is more brawns and imposing physicality but Little brains and deficient technical quality.

We need to address our midfield call ups from a tactical angle majorly before even considering where they play, if not we would only be calling up DMs upon DMs that give us Zero breakthrough via middle plays.

That is why I included a third angle to both in my original post on them.

We would have left Etebo at the 10 if workrate mattered so much and people can't complain about our poor midfield in the first leg and also wonder why Iheanacho did not have synergy with them.

The only thing Aribo does better than Iheanacho in attack is making runs into the box. We have not seen him put a long range strike on target in the SE jersey. He is creative but not on Iheanacho's level and he definitely can't score like him even though he is above average in that department.

I don't see why Aribo wasn't left in his regular position. The Shehu sub should be investigated cos wat was thathuh Even if he brought in Amoo it would have been better.

Iheanacho's knack for creating a chance out of the blues is well noted and known. His eye for the final pass is deadly but his workrate off the ball and synergy with the midfield while in that role is really off.

All things considered, He is more dangerous than Aribo close to the box no doubt. But Aribo's workrate off the ball in that same role gives him the edge for me. Both are similar in attacking the box from between the lines and both can shoot from the edge of the box anywhere around the box... but Iheanacho is actually the better offensive threat no doubt.

To be honest, I am just all for the right tactical balance to accommodate the talents we have in this team.

...time to call Obinna Nwobodo and hopefully Kelechi Nwakili sort out his club career and move to any div one European league to rediscover himself.Amoo too need to be given a chance....sincerely our midfield damn too eyesore. We need real midfieder to shape things up not just marker who cannot carry the ball.

Iheanacho too has lost it.Pls compare Iheanacho of 2017 to 2022.The real Iheanacho would have buried Ghana in the first leg.In afcon he could not carry the team in the absence of Osimehn and had below performance against Tunisia even than Awoniyi.
