joelsteron: Address the problem. Don't add to it. What's "na so" . never learns Yes my man,it was glaring we are having issues with our midfield which cannot be solved in our next match, only way out is to bring in a very tactical approach that would bring lesser pressure on Osimehn to flourish...check it out,...the same unnecessary stress Osimehn went through similar to what our strikers faced in afcon,so something is missing which must be put in place tactically. |

Or the many times Balogun gave away cheap free kicks cause he was too slow Oga yes you are right but he won the ball back and the said situation was not even a goal threat ...after Uzoho i rate Balogun next in that match ,my opinion Sir. Secondly, he looks more composed and has more command of his area. Oga Joe,am seeing Okoye as third choice soon just like the way Alloy Agu was relegated from first choice to third prior to US 94 WC....if not for shaking Akpeyi,Okoye is not better...Damn too glaring average Uzoho is far better than Maduka. |

Really surprised seeing Onazi on the provisional list as standby and injury to Ndidi,Egu ran to Bonnke who was not even in the list, damn confusing. Let's just be hopeful against Ghana |

Mujtahida: The thing is that we quickly label criticism as hate. For me, I really do wish Okoye comes good because if he does, it's all for our pleasure. Thing however is that he's not been commanding since he became number one. Kog45 presciently said it during the Afcon match against Egypt when the buzz was high, that he's afraid Okoye will cost us the tournament and that was what happened.
I wish the young man all the best. E just be say e dey make me panic. I can endure otu attacker, otu winger, otu midfielder. But I cannot endure otu defenders and goalkeepers for obvious reasons Nobody hate Okoye but we need to say obvious....Maduka has not had any significant outing for eagles to justify that he is numero uno. Nigeria have produced good national team keepers from Emma Okala,Peter Fregene,Joe Enrico,Amusa Adisa,Patrick Okala,Best Ogedegbe,Peter Rufai,Wilfred Agbonavbare,Vincent Enyeama and Carl Ikeme and I want to say I can only compare Alloy Agu to Okoye Maduka cos nothing spectacular about Alloy Agu throughout his career.....I remember how fans were always furious seeing Alloy Agu picked ahead of talented Christian Obi in Moscow 85 and when Westerhof came it was the same Agu but it was obvious he was not better.Good Agbonavbare came to the rescue during US 94 qualifiers and Rufai later made it as number one during Afcon and World Cup. Truly Maduka is young but till today I still find it hard how equally young Uzoho with world cup experience lost out to fellow average keeper like Maduka with no single remarkable display in GWG. |

mostob: I like this your logic ehn.... So if a lady rejected you thrice and was even willing to date a guy not up to your standard, you will still go back and beg her right? There is a saying 'marry who love you more than you love her' why? Because she would be ready to do anything for you...she will be ready to ride with you through thick and thin.(this is what Thegoodjoe meant by passion)
Now, if the lady that rejected you thrice now decided to accept your advance, that's when you become a Simp pro max ... She will automatically become the husband while you become the wife...she will be the one dictating for you...she may decide one day to break up with you and there is nothing you can do, she can even roll out a timetable for you and you will follow it whether you like it or not ....
To the girl that will only date you when you're ready made (Olise) , as you know that life can't be rosy all the time, how sure are you that she will stay with you throughout the down times? CC:safarigirl....sir mostob this your comment go bring another lengthy discussion o. |

It is not media talk. If Moses had come, Conte would have treated him the same way. TheGoodJoe:
That should stop. We should have a policy that they reach out to us. We should focus more on youth development. We can raise a mean squad if we channel much effort to keep raising high-grade players from the youth level. We raised Ndidi, Iheanacho, Osimhen, Omeruo, Awoniyi, Isaac Success, Chidera Ejuke, etc from the youth grade system. If we channel funds and groom our coaches to make our scouting and development at this level proper, we can keep raising quality players.
Coupled with any foreign-born with the passion to reach out t o us.
As for any homegrown player that wants to focus on his career, we should give him full support by allowing him to focus on his club footie.
Our focus should lie on those that want to play for us. Whether foreign, or home grown.
We need the likes of Osimhen that was ready to defy odds with his club to play for us. Mikel went against Conte to join the Olympic teams. These are players with passion.
Enough of all these red carpet treatment. Oga,hmmmm I got your point,no red carpet abi....but the same Mikel refused to play 2008 Olympics. |

We don't know how good someboyis until given justifiable opportunity and selection. Omeruo looks slow dated and unable to cope with physicality from strong physical forward players.
In the last AFCON Ajayi seemed a lot better to me, in addition Ajayi brings aerial dominance at set pieces and in defence. What does Omeruo bring , old age , longevity ❓ He should be dropped. We need better.
Calvin is clearly better even better than Balogun. Baba,Bassey better than Balogun?until I see him in eagles colour. |

drDoom3: Why not now? If he proves to be better than what we have, it will be for the good of the team. Carrying the Oyibo wall to the world cup is a disaster waiting to happen, Omeruo is no better. The earlier we organize our defensive issues, the better for us. Doctor, and Calvin Bassey is the solution? In the just concluded Afcon, our defense lines were superb, losing to Tunisia had made a lot to talk shit about the team. I don't mind see Bassey as our LB competing with Sanusi and Collins.....my question do we really need a world class CB before we perform as a team?NO and fine we don't even have one, left for the coach to bring the best out on the available ones,a team with Semi,Awaziem,Omeruo,Ekong and Balogun should not be disturbed and our outing at last Afcon testified that we have a good defence line. I watched Bassey with keen interest recently and I would say a very promising young guy with full potential as LB but would be a great asset as SE squad member cos he can also do it as CB,meaning Collins out and one CB shoukd be dropped to give way for additional midfielder. |
