kellycute: let me list the 4 CBs for you. Jordan, ekong, semi, uduokhai. No place for balogun, omeruo, and awasiem. Tears go dey roll for camp Kelly my man, a fit Balogun would start ahead of Semi and Uduokhai and proper tournament don't rule out Omeruo.Awaziem truly average defender but proved me wronged with his performance in the last Afcon. ...but funny enough I don't rate Ekong. Apart from Jordan,i don't see Kevin, Uduokhai getting it easy with our present defenders |

Olulong: He was never on Wilfred's level. Maybe at the national team I'll agree buh not club wise Yeah bro but national team be koko for us,forget club level. We remember most of our players based on their performances for Super eagles. Ndidi has not done enough in Super eagles colour to be compared to Onazi though it may sound funny but that's just the fact. I think with time Ndidi is going to be one of the best DM to play for Super eagles |

tbaba1234: He said, Rohr has made Nigerians proud of the super eagles, again. That's true.
We failed to qualify for AFCON back to back and were ranked very low. We were in a very bad place.
In that sense, Rohr has done well.
Now, he needs to add a trophy to cement his legacy. Bro am not castingating Rohr or belittle his achievements but to cement his name in Nigeria football archives he must win afcon or do something great like reaching WC quarter final. |

mowah: Rohr has done so much for the super eagles, even if his tenure doesn’t end well, he should be remembered for how he turned the team around and made Nigerians proud of their National team once again. ...for bringing FB into the fold abi!good but history will forget him if he failed to win any trophy. Otto Gloria... 1980 afcon Clemens Westerhoff...1994 afcon Stephen Keshi....2013 afcon Bonfrere Jo...Olympic gold Atlanta 1996 Pls tell me who remembers Manfred Hoener,Thijs Libregt,Philipe Trousier,Berti Vogts... The turnaround of Super eagles was Westerhoff period and no coach has achieved that feat, bringing FB in and having good homegrown players good for the country but we want a team that we would remember as historic team. Rohr just need to win next Afcon, qualifying for WC is not a record cos that record belonged to Clemens Westerhoff. |

Danielnino00: Keyword: fit and active
Question is,who is the player in question??
Personally, I have no problem with the age of Nigerian players.. They can be 50 and be claiming 20 for all I care... It is their performance that matters..and how they can add something better to the national team... something our present corp of players can't..
If u want to progress, u have to move forward not backwards.. Leon Balogun |

TheSuperNerd: Yes, both are homegrown but their routes were also a little different. Awaziem was spotted right from the U-17s. Azubuike, well, he just showed up. Lol
Osimhen, Chukwueze, Ndidi, Ejuke, Arokodare, Moffi, Awoniyi, Iheanacho, etc etc are all home grown but passed through the U-17s system laced with MRI screenings. That's the difference between home grown products of our U-17/Cadet systems and other home grown products.
And don't mind Andrew and Elyte. They have PHDs in age detection so they love to flaunt it. But I believe they often refer to those guys who didn't go through the MRI. But thing is they aren't always spot on in this age thing.
And yes ofcourse, an active 32 yrs guy born abroad like Balogun is not old as long as he is active. Defenders in Europe play till 35+ sef. Look at Silva heading to Chelsea at 35 and still a member of Brazil's national team. Respect |

TheSuperNerd: He showed flashes of his confidence in goal but he wasn't really tested. Game ended 1-1 and he played the entire 90mins against a fellow Eredivisie side, RKC Waalwijk.
Only four changes made. Emegha started and was very decent upfront in Jersey #11. Was replaced in the 69th min.
The game looks like a really sound prep up game for the League opener so perhaps Okoye is primed to be the #1. Time will tell. They play again next week against Ado Den Haag.
And Senegal's first choice? You mean The one keeping for Rennes? Edouard Mendy? Senegal have good goalies in Ligue 1 Naa. Even Gomis dey Dijon. But I think Mendy is going there to be Number 2 if indeed he moves to the Bridge. Good one from Maduka, hope to see him becoming number one |

TheSuperNerd: I understand you perfectly elder Kog.
But I sincerely believe Awaziem is definitely young. He was part of Kelechi Nwakali's set at some point but was dropped on grounds of being ineligible by a couple of months to one year I believe. Dude was the team's midfield anchor in the early stages of camping of the 2015 Class. He is legit.
I can speak for Awaziem b'cos the U-17s went through various MRI screenings but I cannot speak for Azubuike Okechukwu b'cos there is no such thing at U-23 level. We have guys who use false ages but we also have lads who use genuine ages especially those who came through our U-17s system since 2013 and Awaziem is one of them. A genuine young lad. ...yes you are right but fact still remains that Awaziem and his U 17 colleagues and Azubuike are homegrown. Honestly we may have true U17 guys cos I have a friend who was part of bound Japan 93 U17 team and was in secondary school though later lost out to Celestine Babayaro in the final list. I always frown at Andrew and elyte when it comes to our players age but a fit and active 32 years old FB player is not too old for our national team. |

TheSuperNerd: That was Elder Kog45. Walahi you be master here... na me o not kokmne ...just trying to let people know that there is difference between FB and homegrown when it comes to age ,..oh Awaziem was just a message and i said likely but if I said Azubuike I know some would be very happy that yes he is older than Balogun. I know Awaziem is not older than Balogun but homegrown Balogun would be 26 by now... I remember a certain player one Okechucwu that played for Iwuanyawu Nationale in the late 80s and early 90s was called to under 21camp but already 27 years old and told NFA chairman that he was born in UK the man was like you are the youngest here... honestly doctor Nerd it's difficult when one use false age. |

charlesemeka85: Boss I don't see Moses as a competition to the current set of wingers we hv.
When you are talking of competition then you to make reference to the likes of Ejuke, onyekuru and dennis who re yet to get a proper chance in the team not a Vic Moses who hv passed his prime
He should be grateful to Conte who made him relevant again by signing him for inter. A team where Ashley Young is doing pretty well says it all Oga Charles, honestly with Osimehn I will never call for Ighalo return but I can tell you that Victor Moses still has what it takes to play for eagles again Abi no be Oyekwuru,Dennis,Ejuke u dey talk about. My man playing for Inter at his age is a plus and seeing a manager like Conte believe in him is a plus too. As for Balogun his days of retirement is fast approaching. Imagine having torunarigha, adarabioyo, uduokhai in the team with the likes of ekong, omeruo, ajayi and awaziem already present, dude doesn't hv a chance Oga Charles,a fit Balogun is better than all these players you mentioned. Oh if na age matter I for gree my man but I can tell you that Omeruo and likely Awaziem are older than Balogun. Pls which one be federal character again or are you saying Rohr is collecting bribe. All Ahmed Musa need is to go back to European league again, forget all these Oyekwuru,Kalu hypes, may be Chuckwueze would be able to do it I don't know... sheyishemba: wow 96 million Nigeria has just achieved a great feat ...am proud of this young lad he kept his head low and kept working very hard I hope to see him in Africa best 11 he has achieved what Tammy can never achueve in his entire career i hopes Dennis and chuks move to a better club too. Kai my man,i think we need to take things easy.Tammy as young man has done well this season, with 15 EPL goals. Hmmm in his entire life he can't achieve what Osimehn has achieved, common man transfer fee is not achievements and what a player is earning is not achievement but trophies and and personal record like Best Africa player, highest goal scorer or world best etc. Osimehn has a lot to prove as a player and I want to say I see him going higher if he put his head straight.Napoli is just the beginning for the young man to explode. He has what it takes to be the best. Oh Tammy,i still rate the young man, scoring 15 goals this season for a club like Chelsea no be small thing my man. I wish both successful career cos they haven't started, this coming season in seria A all eyes would be on Osimehn and Tammy would work his socks off to be a starter in Chelsea. |
