EducationRe: Your Bizarre Experiences In Boarding School by kokoye(m): 2:43pm On Oct 15, 2010
I remember my cousin who'd just transferred from a school in Geneva to FGGC Akure. My mom spent extra time on her since she was an 'oyinbo' girl going to a girls' boarding school in akure. She went to the school with more than enough stuff.

- She came back after 2 months with the same underwear she had been wearing for almost three weeks - said she never tooks them off cos the rest were stolen so she did not want the last underwear to suffer the same fate.

- Also came back looking for snakes to kill - said she'd gotten used to having snakes crawl up on her at night . . .or one sharing the pillow with her.

- She must struggle with yam slices. She'd been used to hammering away on the almost uncoooked slices in school before she could get a bite.

Her 'oyinbo' butter melted in less than 2 months.

Christianity EtcRe: Why Do Churches Pay Their Instrumentalists? by kokoye(m): 8:53pm On Oct 14, 2010
unclebros:
You all need to see the attitude of these instrumentalists brethren, for most of them, they dont bother about where they worship , they only bother on the pay.
Most of them hop from one church to another, not properly discipled as a Christian. When you chat with them, For those of you that kept referring to them as the Levites, you discovered they dont have ministry on their mind. All they know is pay me now or i get out of your church.

Now i blame the pastors that started this movement. The money has lured these guys from the rudiments of the ministry and the Word!
How many times do you want to be told that playing instruments is their source of livelihood? If you do not pay them, how are they going to survive??

If you want them at your beck n call 24hours a day, yes you should pay them.

Why are you comparing them to ushers who have other regular jobs?

embarassed embarassed embarassed
No.

He sat down and asked me to kneel in front of him and count . . .right in the presence of his mates and friends (they all stood there and laughed).

I did nothing but started crying seriously . . serious wailing o.

I guess they all couldnt stand it so they begged him to let me go.

Guess what? I did nothing wrong. He just picked on me for nothing. Of course I went to get a school father rightaway.

Still freaked out just thinking about it. And I never saw him after school . .wonder what happened to him.

Gbam!

Please close this thread.

The OP is obviously ugly and beefing everyone else. Facebook is global and she's singling out Nigerians because some profiles have shown her how terrible her own life is. Be happy for others so your life will be better too.

If you cant stand seeing other people happy (fake or not), move on and proceed with what makes you happy. But dont run down other people. Not by force.

And then she goes on to use a fake profile picture!!

Ugly and fake.
