This will stop if and when there is faith in the security system....I hope. The guy might even be a police officer.....might |
chelseabmw: lol.............u change your mind immediatelylol Yes o. I will be in naija very soon and was looking for ways of avoiding the terrible traffic to ibadan. Someone suggested overland and I checked it out online..saw 5000 naira and nearly freaked out. Too good to be true. So i wondered why it had not caught on..i know a lot of people would prefer air travel from Lagos to ibadan with all the mess on the road..for 5000! But obviously, even though no one has said anything about a crash, they said their aircrafts are from the 18th century. So ...i'll psyche myself up to leave lagos early and hopefully will make it to ibadan in one peace and a few hours. Will aslo need to avoid those prayer city and redemption camp days ![]() Thanks jaybee..you are only the second person I know who's flown that airline. The first guy said it was a flight from lagos to ilorin, but the plane made stops at ilesha and oshogbo to drop off people. found that hard to believe though LOL |
A few things would need to be considered: - Is this the kind of job you'd like to put on your resume? My first job (Internet service engineer) paid me 7000 naira per month (back in 1998). This was really what I wanted to do so i did not mind. I got another offer for 45000 naira in the same field in less than 3 months. - Transportation costs - Feeding costs - Rent ?? - A little change to spare... If all these are covered with the salary and this is the only job offer available, then i'll say go for it. IF not, then, your choice. Remember, the minute you start a job (any job at all), those uncles and aunties will stop giving you hand-out. And your younger ones will start to expect "something". So please make sure the salary covers the basic things at least. |
How can I support a team when I cant even find a way watch the matches? |
@OP I believe in are in Nigeria at the moment..so why dont you test the waters and see what you are able to get? If things dont work to your satisfaction, you can always leave. |
Thank you. I was surprised to see that rate and the fact that it has not caught on. Old aircrafts....I think i'll pass .... thanks again. |
I just realised I can fly from Loagos to Ibadan and back for 5000 naira with http://www.overland.aero/home.aspx. That sounds like a good deal to me considering traffic and security situations on the road. Does anyone know about Overland's record ...safetywise? I never heard of them until now. |
abysirius: ..Okada can manoeuvre traffic better..Are they even supposed to be doing that? I believe the "manoeuvre traffic better" is one of the major causes of deadly accidents |

Martian: In what context will the phrase come up?Here's a quote (below) from this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/1081418/dont-love-him-he-said "..every born again christian would find out sooner or later that there are two ways of handling every issue. The 'common sense' way and the 'God' way." |
Sorry,...I dont understand your question...problems? I have seen the phrase a few times on this forum ...hence my question |
I have heard this saying a few times: "There is the common sense way and there is also the God way" I believe there is good and bad and we all (mostly) know the difference, even if we have the free will to do what we want..which may be the bad at times. And we also know that not all that glitters (or sounds good) is gold. The common sense I'm referring to is not the same as the 'wise' used in the bible. It is the ability to identify right from wrong; the use of caution and understanding; the ability to fear the Lord and depart from evil. Hence the harmless question. Thanks and God bless. |

So..why do some ladies rain hell and brimstone on a guy who breaks a 3-yr old relationship? Is it not better to break it before getting married..for whatever reason? |

breathing: God never asked us in thr bible, to marry the person we love, rather he asked us to love the person we marry.So..I'm an idol worshiper, a womanizer, a woman abuser, a selfish beast.... If, according to you, we can love anybody, can you please marry me ...since you will be able to love me regardless?? No wonder a lot of people are not happy in their marriages. Thank you for confusing the poor girl the more. |
Another reason why Nigeria cannot move forward. Tribal issues. Who cares what tribe you are from as long as you are eligible to work and getting the work done?? |
