deedee44: We know that the engine burns oil but that's not the point here, I just want you to know that the engine can still last for years and not few months as you're making people who have not used it believe. I use mine for uber as well and I've covered over 100k miles since I bought it. Current mileage is around 240k so as long as you change your oil as at when due then the engine will serve you better. 20w50 is not a death sentence to this generation of engines, maybe it may not last as long as if you use 5w30 synthetic but that doesn't mean it will not last. Infact people should worry more about the body of the car especially in this lagos because that engine will still outlast the body Thumbs up... This is the point I was trying to make folks realize. Traffic conditions in Lagos metropolis is detrimental to life span of the Engine, so whether you like it or not, the engine wears out gradually. You can only prolonged it a bit through adequate maintenance and repairs. |

Mine has been shortening oil since I bought it and it's over 3 years and counting. I have been using sharlu 20w50 for 3 years and my engine is still as quiet as a mouse Is this a brand of Oil? |

izzou: I'm guessing it would take him an hour plus to get to Ojota (I so hate Ikorodu road)
The best option is to pass Oshodi. Use Aswani road and join Isolo.
Then you drive straight to down to Ejigbo. Climb the Egbe bridge and face Ikotun.
But the traffic no go funny. Yeah...I'd to go thru Answani... Omo!!! the traffic na die....infact transversing two extreme point ikorodu - ikotun....its wasn't pleasant experience at all. |

Yeah....map directed me to pass thru Answani...and I was like , but whenever I failed to heed to call/warning of Gmap regarding direction, I do often end up in serious traffic jam. So I'd to follow that route |

ReadaDream: Going through Alakija is the other way round, that way you connect Churchgate etc.
The road construction doesn't affect road users who wants to link Adeola Hopewell from Sanusi Fafunwa, (Adeola Hopewell is the first right turning on S/F) .....it only affect people turning to Idowu Taylor so you have to drive down to Ahmed Onibudo before you can connect Idowu Taylor.
Akinbo Savage from Adetokunmbo Ademola off 1004 has always been a one way street. No right turning, I wonder why Gmap is directing road users to it. Nice one "roadmaster "...great job... Felicity001: This and many more are reasons I'm beginning to accept the fact that we as ehailing drivers need a union... I was reading a post on FB the other day and saw how a driver was arrested at the ajao estate riot that happened last week it was some security guards that helped him secured his car while he was been whisked away by policemen he called pedca or what ever their name is and the exco members came for his release. I don't know if the young man has been release yet.
The guy that was arrested along Igando is another issue, how about the once that was given a drug package to deliver and was arrested in airport sometimes early this year, time will fail me to list those that have been killed or car snatched. A young man was shoot in the eyes at ojuelegba last year by some gang... A rider explained this to me while on a ride his girlfriend married him out of pity after the incident.
The fact is clear we all need an umbrella to stand in when rain and sun come otherwise these app companies will keep making a mess out of us as a people.
Doctors have union Engineers do Accountants do Truck drivers have union Even market women have union Why can't ehailing drivers have a union to challenges the battle be falling us as a people
Its time we all begin to think not just how to earn a living but how to make a good living with pride, dignity and in a safe environment and to be regarded as humans and not mere animals.
Together we stand, divine we fall. I second this motion baba, but....but...there is a but....I do not want to sound pessimistic but I feel it won't work out. Why? Some drivers, their life depend on this e~hailing/ride share business. Its a matter of life and Death to some folks, their almost if not , on a Survival mode. such Drivers will frustrate all effort being made by their Progressive colleagues in forming a Union. Secondly, e-hailing has no ranks or class. Its all comers affairs. Key actor ranges from school drop outs, working class, newly sacked, self retired, Graduates, Post graduate, "over-graduates", ...lol..e.t.c So, it'll require a whole lot of work and time in championing this cause. You and I know of some drivers, who sacrificed their social life, friends, network, spiritual growth sèf, just to dedicate their entire life to ehailing. For people in this category, they believe ehailing is an END in itself. My Bro, to convince this set of people... It'll require spiritual cleansing... Lmao So Bros, do not get me wrong. The hurdles are not insurmountable, its achievable but it'll require a whole lot of reorientation in persuading a whole lot of Drivers to buy or key into this idea. |

tunlapapa: On a serious note, if uber introduces destination display, many drivers would rather stick with uber. Bolt that is doing kalokalo with driver's ratings.
There are many times I would go for long pickups just because the rider already informed of their destination which would give good earnings. So you see that display will make a lot of Drivers stick with them. This can only be achieved if more drivers participated in the weekly survey being rolled out on the app. Apparently, most drivers skip the surveys, which is bad. Surveys are being use for analysis & to make work friendly decisions. |

dozzybreezy: Thank you for your response. Please does people really make use of this indriver app for there day to day transportation needs in Lagos? Will I be able to get satisfying patronages if I register with this app? Thank you Indriver could be likened to that thin- polythene rain jacket being worn among okada riders with different shades of color: green, lemon, yellow...which is Sold for probably N50 ~ N100 box.. Until it rains and you're at middle of nowhere, without an umbrella, well suited&gaited, along stretch of road without cover, then you'll take cognisance of how important it is to have one. But its not an everyday app by my estimation... The "quality" in terms of personality. passengers/riders are always below my expectation compared to Uber...
Note: tried not too be condescending, but u can try it out & give us ur opinion I often refer to it as a rescue app... Moreover, someone has done over 500 trips on indriver...he is a veteran...you can quote him, my thoughts could be wrong. |

jesusjnr2020: I have still never heard Kumuyi bragging about material possessions as some other church leaders do, so I don't understand what all the fuss is about.
Take it or leave it, he's closer to God than most church leaders of this nation are.
He tried to get things right because of his love for God, but made some errors along the way. It's better than not trying at all or caring about doing things the right way, which is what many others are guilty of.
By the way, I am not a member of his church and don't think I have ever stepped my feet into a deeper life church building, but I have some respect for the man because I can see in him a man who really has the interest of God at heart.
