This piece is not to discourage anyone, but my overview overtime concerning this rideshare business is that we Africans, especially Nigeria is not yet ripe for it. Its just an act of bandwagon. Much has been said in the past, in which I wouldn't want to bore you with much stories, in other not to stir the hornets nest. But I'm glad, individuals are beginning to look inward in other areas such as : Car wash, bikes to mention a few. I'll implore Drivers to take a lot of rest, especially if you drive in Lasgidi. Be conscious of your mental health as well, if need arises, take a cursory look about your entire life disposition, a rethink might be imminent. He is even trying to learn to drive car, once you park and mistakenly leave him in the car to get something quickly, before you return, he has jumped on to the driver seat and start pressing horn and twisting the steering with all seriousness
One day I left the car key mistakenly with him, before I returned this young man was already seated comfortably on the driver seat struggling to turn the car key he had managed to insert into the ignition hole, when I came back, I calmly told him to go back to the back seat he said and I quote "Daddy No" , I repeated it go and sit at the back, he confidently replied me again, "Daddy go away, I drive daddy car", I just burst into laughter
I had to forcefully carry him to the back seat.
Because of his smartness I don't ever leave him in the car if I am driving with him with a keyless car lol, before we appear on Nairaland fp

Quick one, please if you happen to be the bolt driver that took a lady who went to buy groceries at a supermarket over the weekend and argument ensued back&forth regarding change, with the driver claiming he has no change. Please try and do the needful. According to the reporter (Joseph Faulkner -sportpresenter- lagostalk91.3fm), he said the driver persuaded the rider in forgoing her change or feel the rider ought to leave the change, in which she(rider) insisted on collecting. The lady made an offer of a bank transfer but her bank app had network issues. During the course of this matter, argument would've ensued (my thoughts). The Driver insisted on taking the rider back to nearest bustop and source for change, in which (rider) she declined. Long story cut short, the driver rammed on the rider and speed off, with both the money and the groceries still in the car. As at the time of this report, the rider is still receiving treatment at the hospital. The rider is a younger sister of the reporter - Joseph Faulkner This story was aired on radio program sportzone - lagostalk 91.3 FM...in which I listened to... The matter has been reported to nearest police station and on Bolt for necessary action. Please, if you are the driver, let's listen to your own side of the story ( in house.) I could remember when you were running around Lagos and also singing praises of Uche then, I guess this break gave you a reason to think beyond the horizon. Felicity001: What do you call under age voting in tje north? Rigging or what? Guy forget story I was IPO1 my polling unit was at Maryland secondary school in 2014/2015 election. Leave all those tramission of result and electronic card reader they used to wash our head.
I ask you a question, did you transmit the results in your unit to the central cyber in that day of election? If i can still remember there are 2 administrative password to the card reader only one was given to us (IPO) shey na IPO them dey call am self I've forgotten... the 2nd password wasnt disclose... Do you know that with that 2nd password you can manipulate the out of accreditated voters?
In 2014/15 and the 2018 or there genereal election, they used the registered voters booklet (What the name of that book again sepf where all registered voters are written. Some people's names are in the book but not found on the card reader.
If we want to go electronic let's go there what's the need of doing both ballot and electronic let people be accredited and vote electrically at the same time rather than doimg accreditation and after 4-5hrs b4 voting starts. Let them do a machine that will display all canditates on the screen as soon as you've been accredited you top print on the face and logo of the party you wish to vote for and off you go... Immediately after an electorate finishes voting tue system transmit automatically to the central cyber and after maybe 60seconds the result is added to the general screen as a count in the pooling centre.
Every pooling centre will have one central screen or projector to display result in that centre then each unit gets at least 2 voting screen touch computer to accredit and vote on.... The general computer receiving the results from the pulling unit in that centre will automatically transmit each result electrically to the sub zonal and also to the state zonal centre and then the 6 geo-political zones and then Abuja the HQ.
All computers are program to stop working at the close of voting period i.e 4pm. And latest 15min past 4pm final result is out.
Broadcasters are televising everything as its going and as the votes result are coming in viewers already know who is winning.
These are very simple things that can be put together but because of corruption they will not.
The only time we will have a free, fair and credible election is when we go 100% electronic with no ballot boxes and papers simple. You this guy, you dey funny..even in America, in which our democracy models isn't full electronic....not to talk of Africa... I'm sure you had about Russian involvement in trumps first election, inspite of the tech savvy of the Americans, the electoral process was still being manipulated. The question we should be asking ourselves, similar to the way fela asked a Journalist in an interview/discussion then, was: "Is democracy beneficial for we Africans" |

Nwakannaya1: LMAO It is less lucrative to drive in Abuja than Lagos, the margin is wide. The only advantage in Abuja is that you have less touts to worry about. There are many places you'd drop a rider and you'd never get a trip out, you'd have to blow empty. 600naira yakpa for Abj. So many delays especially when you are picking someone from estate, or places like Nile uni. Getting a trip over 6k is difficult in Abj.
Abj is not same with Lagos in this hustle. To get surge for here na waec. Even during the festive period, surge scarce like competence in GMB govt. The only advantage of Abj over Lag is not having to worry about many touts, security officers don't disturb much too. Your disposition is a lil' bit flawed to an extent. You can't have it all. How about the good network of roads, less traffic and thuggery* Abuja is administrative capital of the country, you come in, secure your contract and move. So to balance it up, u might be making a few bucks, but less stress... Trying to earn a living in lasgidi, using ehailing has a platform is akin to bringing out a fish in a body of water...
