obadiah777: BUT HE IS A NIGERIAN. YOU ARE NOT WHERE YOU ARE BORN. YOU ARE YOUR HERITAGE. IF I PLANT AN APPLE SEED IN CHINA WHAT WILL COME OUT ? AN APPLE. IF I PLANT THE SAME APPLE SEED IN NIGERIA WHAT WILL COME OUT ? AN APPLE. YOU ARE NOT WHERE YOU ARE BORN. THATS A PREPOSTEROUS CARNAL AND SHALLOW ASSERTION. WE ALL HAVE LINEAGES. JUST CUZ A CHINESE MAN IS BORN IN NIGERIA DOES NOT MEAN HE IS NIGERIANI do not buy this assertion of yours. What inflamed and influenced his action? Was it the culture he was brought up or the culture he never experience. Dude, you are better than this. Sade Adu is British/Nigerian, but is never acceptable by the media for Nigeria to take the credit of producing a world class musical superstar. The credit of her achievement is British. This tramp may have a Nigerian origin, he is absolutely NOT a Nigerian. |
Iaz93: They've been doing it sef. The boy sef na mugu, he dey knack hm step mother to be. Such is life! The woman is lewd. 16 and 28 is a BIG difference. You don't cast aspersion on the boy but the adult woman. The boy is too teenaged to resist seduction from such a grown up woman. This is so funny a story. How do you explain this to the media? |
I am green with envy for your achievement girl. CONGRATULATIONS, you are my kind of girl. I love military women. |
Amazing feat by a White woman. She was a superwoman. |
myk2mic: BIG BOY BUT NOW A BIGGER BOY LOL. I DEY FEEL YOU DIE |
Nashville: These are the important points I was thinking of. There was an instruction from somewhere to arrest a man or a group. An assistant commissioner of police led the team. We need to know what truly happened. Did the police kill innocent people and their killing was a retaliation from a community or did the Ombatse cult just ambush and kill them. For me, this incident is actually worse than the ALUU 4. The only reason why it hasn't received the same kind of condemnation is because the people killed here were the Nigerian police, so most people do not care. I agree our policemen are highly unprofessional and use excessive force, but I think we as Nigerians need to know what really happened. This is tantamount to total breakdown of law and other. A state of complete anarchy when people can kill law enforcement agents and go about boasting in the open how they did it. Our institutions are weak but this is definitely a new low.I will sound like an unserious politician if i use the already tailored sentence "let the govt investigate". Investigation has never gone down well in a country like Nigeria. It has never produced result rather profit and more public appointments for the investigators. We cannot rely on our copy and paste, hearsay press. Let put aside our religious and tribal sentiments, our individual interest and get involve for the CHANGE we have been yearning for. We cannot continue in lies and politics as usual and expect change. Let learn to take responsibilities for our action. Posterity shall judge us all |
Nashville: I agree the Ombatse had not committed any crimes before this attack, but you need to understand my question and it strickly from the point of the rule of law.I never condoned the killings of the police. I have a problem with our policing system. Our typical system of policing is placing the police and their shallow minded interest first before the right of the people and the collective interest of all. They had the mandate to arrest an entity (a single person that is not bigger than the community let alone Nigeria), as highly trained security apparatus, your strategy should pay off. There is always 'rule of engagement' especially where unarmed civilians are involved. The community rose against the police because of their pronounced intimidation, violation of the people's right. Why killed those you were not mandated to arrest. Why not use intelligence to achieve your objective. There are two sides to this story. Having been brought up in Nigeria, i am not ignorant of the excessive of our police men and women especially when they are in large number with guns armed to the teeth. Last year fuel subsidy protest is a case study. Their extremism is not isolated. I blame them for the killings. Whoever issued instruction to the failed operation must be called to book. We cannot continue to throw caution to the wind for the minor interest of some persons and allow bloodshed to continue uncheck. We need that much anticipated change NOW. |

Built2last: While waiting to board a flight from Charlotte to Atlanta sometime last year, I noticed a small number of US Soldiers were also waiting to board the same flight.I was immediately fascinated by their youthfulness and nice camouflage . They looked like boys and girls to me. I even suspected they were cadets. My first surprise came when the flight was about to board. The announcer made it clear that men and women of the US army should step forward and board first the plane first. This was gahead of passengers on the first class compartment . When we had all boarded the flight, the pilot then announced that the airline was happy and privileged to be flying with men of the US army and welcome them specially on board. When we landed in Atlanta, the pilot announced again and thanked the men of the US army for flying with United Airlines and this time everyone on the plane went into a round of applause, clapping for almost a minute. I had to join in clapping for the US soldiers. This is how much America values the men and women, battling insurgents in other to protect the home land.Today lets offer prayers and applaud the men and women battling insurgents from Bayelsa to Nassarawa , from Borno to Yobe, from Katsina to Kano. Staying awake for us to sleep. taking the battle to the enemies so we can live a normal life. These are the real men with balls. Not the cowards that attacks defenseless people and scurry away to hide.I JUST CHOOSE TO CELEBRATE NIGERIAN ARMY.Sir, are you the original writer of this piece? I read it somewhere last week on online blog. However, our military men and women are almost close to this kind of ovation but our police men and women, nah nah nah. They don't respect the tax payers who they are supposed to serve how then will the people respect them?. It's unthinkable comparing the USA Army men with our security men. The former serves with passion and patriotism while the later join the army or Police out of need to survive the no-job condition of the economy. In fact, our security men are kings while the people are servants. They are trained to recognise the rich and disorganise the poor. We are far from the reality sir. |
We are generally desperate, always in a rush (Lagosians especially) in a lush with absolute disregard to collective interest. |
My thoughts and prayers to all those affected by this natural disaster. I am deeply saddened. |
brito: Oga @Emmannuel, mind your tongue o, the person typing next to your keyboard could be an Ombatse member! @begwong no vex o! Uptill this 21st century u still believe juju power instead of the Almighty God?My brother, GOD is all knowing. HE has all the power in this world, but...the Bible confirms there are principalities and power in high places, don't be ignorant or live in denial of that fact. Therefore give back to ceaser what belongs to ceaser. Iron sharpens iron. You dont expect to defeat the devil with guns, bombs or matchets but your understanding of JESUS CHRIST will help you defeat the devil. Let us not derail the thread pls. That's for another thread. |
NDSMART: When they eventually got to Alakio, they began to shoot people. In fact more than thirty innocent villagers were killed. The unprovoked killing of the locals (Ombaatse non-members) gave rise to the confrontation between the Ombaatse members and the Police. The open confrontation led to the police shooting them first and they retaliated in self-defence. Please re-read. |
Nashville: Someone please educate me here and no insults because I really do not understand. A group admitted to killing 95 policemen and they still come out everyday to talk. Last week I read about an interview with the group's spokeperson in the newspapers and the man was talking to a reporter. From the onset, the story has been skewed in favour of the govt. Must everything be exaggerated in order to gain public sympathy? Our govt has hijacked the press to report in her favour. They are not doing anything wrong by coming out to debunk some of the stories from the govt press. Whoever believes our press is very naive. Why should the public sympathises with the govt on the killing of the police when the general public is in the know of the operations of our security forces who operate with total disrespect and disregard to human right and life. They ultimately provoke this avoidable killings. Security forces are meant to protect but the mission of the Nigerian security forces (police) are to intimidate, extort, maim and kill...that's their signature. Since our govt can not tell the world the truth about the whole imbroglio, let this group tell us what happen, we will collaborate the stories and watch as events unfold. A confuse govt gives rise to a confuse state. It is time we embraced the truth, that's what will set us free. Oh what a relief, I stopped listening to political news and/reading newspaper for a time that seems like eternity now. Our local TV channels censored news sucks, I don't waste my time on them. Am out |
I can beat my chest and tell you that, the seeming success of these rogues is as a result of their partnership with some arikair top guys. ***spit on them*** Thank op for the info. |
jaystunt: When it dawned on the girl that theI thought it was just me. May be the mod confused the subject with the bulletin. The news report sounds like attention seeking. It does not add up at all. The news has violated NL rules No.8. Mr Seun, it's now up to you |
idupaul: Na wa ooo .. In an attempt by the CPC led govt to dislodge a christian militia to allow free passage for Fulani herdsmen to continue their reign of terror in the middle belt our Policemen have become the casualty in this daibolic plot by Fulani herdmen to own the fertile grounds of the Middle belt.. Before the week ends Nigeria Army will burn down eggon and unknowingly create a free corridor for Fulani herdmen to finish of TIv farmers.. Some Complex scene .. Its not easy for Jonathan does he wipe out the Ombatse and allow the untouchable Fulani reign supreme? There's a conspiracy theory to the whole imbroglio. The power that be is questionable. The governor of that state should never be exonerated from this issues. He has something we don't know to tell us. The security chiefs with their strategy to counter the activities of one of the warring groups are just ok for force retirement and prosecution. Until our leaders are made to take responsibilities for their actions, everybody will remain untouchable. |
Most Nigerians are just too sentimental to consider issues rationally. Policemen got killed in the face off between Ombatse youths and the police. I can tell you, it is this obvious attitudes of "i am the law, and not the law enforcer" of our uniform men that got them the gift of graves in Nassarawa. They seem to gloss-over their true callings - peacemakers and law enforcers. Be a mediator, look for a way to quell the fire and not stoking fire. They see their guns as steroids and they feel they can always achieve their aims with gun intimidations. I am a strong proponent of our security overhaul if we are serious about protecting life and properties in Nigeria. It is high time the police are made to realise they are to serve and not be served. Security will continue to be a mirage unless Police are friends to the public not in words but actions. Enough of these wanton bloodsheds. |
Raymondenyi: U are a big mumu, what kind of human being do parents now rare in this Nigeria sef! KaiYou are a miserable simpleton. You have exposed your foolishness to the world. Needless giving you the luxury of arguing with you. IGNORAMUS |
antiembezzle: FOOL! So there are no records of officers in the police division anymore? NL has truely gone to the dogs.IDIOT! So there are ^Since you are too foolish to give a simple opinion without insult. |
Ptimes: Mr. Al-Makura said the policemen were on lawful duty to dislodge the militia when they were killed. The above statement makes me chuckles. It's a very popular press statement by Nigerian Police spoke person. Lemme reserve my comment on that to sympathise with the innocents that lost their lives. Methinks, the death figure disclosed by the force spokeman is exaggerated the Nigerian style, because compensation is coming for the families of the murdered cops and that figure means |
Most ladies fail to understand the chemistry and the bond that exist when you are in love with someone you claim is special to you. Even compromising who you are to make some of them happy, but the day they walk out on you and on the relationship, they behave as if you were their enemies just because they want to jump to the next guy who can afford all their extravagant bills but with no emotional attachment with them. They are so excited to throw a friend to the wolves and move on telling you 'not all relationships end in marriage'. What that suppose to mean is implausible. The end justifies the mean |
softangel: U need to have ur head examined. U claim to study the Bible for yourself without waiting for sunday service, yet, u v deliberately turned blind eyes to Malachi 3:10-11..."Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be MEAT IN MY HOUSE and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if i will not open you the windows of heaven and POUR YOU OUT A BLESSING that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I WILL REBUKE THE DEVOURERS for your sakes (if u alwayz end up a loser then u knpw where ϑ prob lies) and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit b4 the time in the field (this is also attributable to impotence/miscarriage, you ll not suffer this fate if u are a regular and not a seasonal tither), saith the LORD of Hosts".Sis, don't even go there. As a Christian, I am no longer bound by that passage, I dont know about you. There are three factions to the quoted passage above - the argument will be inconclusive. |
Oh no! Not again!!!! Do we have musicians in Nigeria? I mean musicians not noise-makers and media-hype pseudo-musicians? ***thinking****...yes, yes, Asa |
For goodness sake!!!! Why can't we for once drop sentiments and consider issue with rational mindset? There is nothing to GEJ's name after his government. Posterity shall adjudicate him. |
imperiouxx: This pacificguy is a man trying to impose a woman, well what about trying this:lmao...wtf. Are they in the spirit or at aerobics, why are they not on leotards? Hahahahahahahah, very funny gif |
Pastoring should not be seen as full time job. It should be part time. Even if a minister decides to do it full time, they should be means of income to the pastor so as not to depend on members for means of livelihood. Begging in disguise. What if members decide to also attend church fulltime as pastors? I tell ya, Nigeria will be the most irreligious nation. We seem too religious because pastors cheat people out of their little rays of sunlight with the usual 'God loves a cheerful giver (not to neighbours but to church They are not deserve to be paid. Paid by who? Churches as buildings have become personal properties. Why should I pay you? You are working for God thru people for goodness sake. |
pheroshuz_zutam: its not yet done, until they prove it in camp nouBayern Proved it. What say you now bro. Even if barca plays Bayern 10 times, Bayern will still be on top of them. Home and away, Barca posed no threat. Any way I like your loyalty to your club. That's a never die spirit. |
I see Madrid winning the night and qualifying but I dont see Barca qualifying tomorrow. Halal Madrid |
clue: The way these guys take a poll and then put "world" on it baffles me.Of course bro, they want to sell their magazine. Their opinion does not in any way represent the individual and collection opinion of the world. No doubt the beauty of Gwyneth Paltrow but not definitely the world most beautiful. I will choose Kris Jenner (Kardishian) of 58 years beauty over Gwyneth 40. What you find beautiful may not be what I find beautiful. Beautiful is subjective and is opened to inconclusive debates. |
