Slawomirr:Your 8 year old nephew need to see a doctor. What you described above suggests precocious puberty. It’s still early and needs to be treated. |
Vote4Obi:Soludo is just one man. His one vote is nothing...that’s if he decides to spite Obi truly on Election Day, I won’t be surprised if Soludo’s wife, children and other members of his household vote Obi. |
Asgard73:PDP will be lucky to get up to 1 vote at those places. Let’s not chest beat. Election Day is a few months away. |
Asgard73:Do you know where Ekwulobia is? Have you been to Igboukwu before. Do you know people from both towns? If you repeat the above claim at Ekwulobia park, Eke Ekwulobia or Nkwo Igbo, even Hausa and Nigerien labourers there will stone you. |
Asgard73:Soludo is playing politics. He is just being a loyal PDP Party man. Obi will sweep Aguata, Aniocha and Orumba local government areas. Don’t be deceived, Obi will sweep the whole of Anambra. Agulu where Obi is from isn’t far from Nanka, Dora Akunyili’s home town and from Nanka, you can walk to Isuofia where Soludo is from and Oko, Alex Ekwueme’s home town. They are all same people. They are all for Peter Obi. |
Before you aspire to that position, are you qualified for it? Are you aware of the tasks and challenges before you? Are you competent? Some people fight to get into positions that they are not qualified in. They’ll end up clueless or delegating the job to someone else like some of the politicians and their numerous aides. Leadership demands competence. I’ve been there. I know the job, the environment and the people/staff. Accountability and transparency is vital. It doesn’t matter what the previous leadership did...people see fault and expect something done to address that. If you are transparent, carry people along...you’ll get there. You should be a communicator and an effective one. Stepping on toes!!...the problems are there to be solved. If you are transparent and communicate your objectives well, even those whose toes would be trampled on would step aside...it demands courage and resilience....In my last role, the man was as corrupt as hell but I was set to make that right and restore trust...I did it with a few personal losses but it was worth it. Don’t go into it with the mindset to dominate, no one cares if you are oga at the top of you have no clue how to go about the job, being change, creativity and trust in the role. Have discipline, set standards..carry the carrots in your bag and don’t forget to pull out the whip if needs be....a bit like a referee in the big league...laugh and shake hands with the players, blow the whistle for fouls...talk to players, dish out the yellow card if necessary, warn the player who consistently fouls...don’t forget the red card...it’s there for a reason. Give it if it’s demanded. Have empathy...don’t be one who sits behind the desk dishing out orders...come out and show how it’s done. Periodically assess your performance and give people the chance to give feedback. Have a huddle...meet and sit with your staff members. praise their good efforts and point out where improvements are needed. Emotional intelligence is very important. Sometimes people come to you with issues not related to your work when you are stressed. Make yourself approachable, friendly...be calm and give advice where and when you can. Leadership is stressful but it’s very rewarding. People will remember the positive changes you’ve made and the impacts you’ve made to drive the workplace forward. |
siofra:Don’t harm yourself trying to rid of it permanently. You can manage it. Lots of people have same conditions. Wax the legs if you are worried about them or wear trousers and get them covered. |
siofra:If you are worried about your legs, wax it...you can buy a good Brazilian wax...DIY at home but you’ll need someone to scrap it off. If the hairs are higher up...Pls don’t touch or meddle with them especially if they are rebelling around the bikini lines. Let em grow. |
blowjohn:The title of the thread is “How much do doctors earn in Nigeria? If the question was ‘ How much do football players in England, France and Spain earn? Would your answer be based on the salaries of Mbappe, Neymar jnr, Lewandoski, Grealish and Haaland? If a plastic surgeon earns N5m at some private clinic in lagos, is that the average salary of a doctor treating malaria, typhoid at Zamfara, Warri or Ilorin teaching hospitals? |
CollinsWeGlobe:Talk for yourself. Where would you need free flight?…except you are living illegally and lacking the opportunity to work and live normal life. Nigerians are doing well abroad. |
habsydiamond: ..Don’t let anyone deceive you with the ‘let’s stay here and build our country” slogan. If you have opportunity to travel, pls do. It’s an experience you’ll not regret. |
AllTheWayUp:“We inherited speaking in tongue from the bible” Tinubu, A.T. (2021) He inherited it. I don’t want to believe that he has taken his balabalablu to the mosque. |
achimendy:Which signs?? Why are you all against the woman? This man knows the answer to his problem but he doesn’t want to act. The woman in my opinion is ok. She just need this man to be a man and do his job. Btw...both of them wan k. |
fakum:You know the solution to your problems. Why did you bring it here. Both of you are wa nkers. You run your thing as you call it, she’s comfortable ‘running’ her fingers down there while you roast beside her. What a couple both of you are. She won’t even let you go down on her...yuck!!!. Why do you have to tell people you do that. I wish I could locate you and beat the pu ssy taste outta your tongue and mouth. How do people like you put your tongue and mouth between a woman’s legs??..you are even thinking of meeting a priest! What would a priest do for you? What da *#+%^ is happening to nairaland? Seun be careful. Ban all bitch ass ni ggaz from this site. |
jaszplus12:You should’ve invited the pastor’s wife and you, your girl friend will have orgy...just like the man asking what he should do when he discovered that he was sharing his wife with the nanny... Invite everyone of them and have a swell time and you all will be happily ever after. What’s wrong with some men? |
ZACHIE:Despite the name calling, bad languages used initially which you are also guilty of, I want to say that the above is filled with information and thanks for taking time to post those. I’m aware of the procedures above but not the costs or how much the surgeons earn. Your first comment was on how surgeons would earn N2 per case and 5x a week and doctors ‘killing it’ part. If I was a doctor/surgeon, I’ll feel awkward or embarrassed by that. By the time you’ve gained enough experience to earn that amount, your focus should be about saving lives rather than the how much a case would cost. Those who asked you to clarify were not abusive. We learn….Millions of people are minimum wage with barely enough to survive the day and being down with a health problem is almost like one has committed a crime. I’m not undermining the expertise of the doctors. The country is blessed to have them. Government’s ineptitude has been exploited with various private practices carrying out procedure which they shouldn’t and also involved in bad practices because the regulation of the profession is weak or non existent. Why would a patient has to fund and equip an intensive care unit (ICU)? as you pointed out? If a practice isn’t ICU equipped in the first place, how can they treat and manage a patient that should be in one? If you don’t have the equipment, how would you know how to use them even they were installed overnight, most medical equipment need training and competency ticked off before the staff can use them effectively. The Federal teaching hospitals should be able to provide basic health needs but in my opinion, these institutions are glorified health care centres. The federal and state governments are not doing much…those responsible for the state of the hospitals don’t patronise them anyway…they’d rather spend the fund meant to acquire defibrillators and v60 machines to fly abroad to treat chest pains or bowel obstructions. |
ZACHIE:Please educate me. I’m interested in learning. I’m not doubting that some private practice charge a lot or that the doctors earn a lot…I know a hospital that carry out procedures such as appendix removal, hernia etc…the practice is a 4 storey building. I went there to speak to the owner but he was unavailable, the place was unhygienic, staff were grumpy, there was no wheel chair access, no lift and the theatre was not on the ground floor. Back to my question…what kind of surgical procedure would earn your surgeon friend N2m per exam? |
ZACHIE:He gave you a good breakdown before he digressed. What kind of surgical procedure are you talking about? I’m not doubting that some doctors/surgeons would charge so high….do you think a surgeon in Nigeria should be paid N2m for a procedure? A theatre case involves not just the surgeon but also anaesthetist, scrub team and possibly radiographer. I know some over zealous doctors do the work of the anaesthetist assisted by quack nurses without the radiographer. In a strict and well regulated environment, most of these people would have their licences withdrawn. Again I ask, if your surgeon is collecting N2m, how much was the anaesthetist paid? How much were the scrub nurses paid? How much was the radiographer paid?…or these people were not involved in the case? |
gonkin:Old age isn’t synonymous with intelligence or wisdom. All idi ots will grow old and when they get old, you’ll have to feel sorry for the young ones and the gullible minds around them whom they will infect with their stupidity. |
Kajaard:This silly and the fake story is a reflection of Nigeria and it’s people. How can anyone believe this nonsense? Who authorised this to be on front page? It’s embarrassing what Nairaland has turned into…a dumping ground for all sorts of rubbish. |
omonnakoda:Siempre. Always a penalty mate. In fact the referee didn’t need VAR to confirm that. What was Hernandez thinking? It was a premeditated push with the full weight of his arms and body. Congrats to France…sad for England. |
omonnakoda:A penalty any day. |
Jessewizy:Keep God out of this. It was a clear penalty. Hernandez clearly pushed him. It wasn’t just a penalty. Henandez should’ve been sent off. Sad Kane missed. |
Penalty |
smile11s:Keep that money mister. England is winning and the World Cup trophy is coming home. |
yinkeys:Bellingham is one of many problems that France will have on Saturday. England has many options. Mbappe is a one man riot squad but he will be frustrated on Saturday. |
yinkeys:Which France?? England will send France home on Saturday. |
Emyzoloye5:England will beat France. |
Marjoribanks:So who will win between Croatia vs Japan? Croatia will beat Japan though and it won’t be by penalty |
Dapson73:Shame on you and everything that you represent and stand for. |

That head is not flat na. It’s very conical.

I wish Senegal all the best. It’ll be a big victory for them…My money will be on England though. Senegal need lots of mental strength to overcome England. I wish they still have a ‘disrespectful’ and talented player like El Haji Diouf. A player in that mold would wreck havoc on England whom Diouf has no respect for. Tell him to see Jude Bellingham as Steve Gerald and you’ll see a lone Terenga lion fighting the 3 lions to death. Someone need to boss Bellingham in that midfield and then clip the wings of Harry Kane, a player with high level of football intelligence. England is a top team and one of the favourites. Lots of people might not like them but I see their black contingents in the person of Saka, Rashford and Bellingham ensuring victory for them. |
