Happy birthday Muhammadu Buhari. As he plan to return to his farm after his tenure, I hope he will work harder to stop insecurities as many Nigerians who nurse similar dreams could not take charge of their farms or even farm at all because Fulani herdsmen have made those efforts impossible. Many Nigerians who planned to boost agriculture and those who have already invested heavily to help the economy have been frustrated as Fulani cows ‘must feed fat’ first. Farms have been ravaged and people’s investments ruined by herdsmen, farmers have been kidnapped and killed. Wole Soyinka is one of those whose farm was ruined by Fulani herdsmen. There are many others whose voices are not heard and sadly when these people speak or mount resistances, they were ambushed and killed or made to spend agonising detention in police and army cells. Freedom and security should not be the exclusive right of a privileged few. |
Laggafin:About 3 soldiers with AK47 and hundreds of rounds of rounds against an unarmed boy…even if they thought he was ISWAP plus Al qaeda, did he pose any threat to them? Why didn’t they question him or at least listen to him when he wanted to talk and explain? Nigeria army lacks discipline and it is filled with cowards, thugs, and bullies. |
What an idlot and a foolish man he is. There are behaviours and conducts expected of people in his position and that in the video isn’t one of them. Why endanger your life and the lives of thousands of people in that gathering? He probably acquired that pistol to protect himself and firing off rounds while being surrounding by a massive crowd of people isnt defensive. The stupid man was only showing off and the manner he was pointing and squeezing the trigger shows he might have done it many times. Who knows if he has intentionally or unintentionally killed someone before. Is there anyone of our law makers who is truly responsible? Some of them show off cars, jewelleries and other loots, some come to the floor of the house to show off their many wives, some brag about dealing with people while Chinedu Ogah is unnecessarily showing aggression. What is wrong with Nigeria ![]() |
GonzalezAguero:What offence did she commit? What protocol did she break. I was expecting to see some regulation restricting or forbidding relationships between military personnel and youth corpers but didn’t see that but instead that recruits should not marry within the first three years of service. I don’t support the video though as I think the news will not be well received if a male soldier was seen in a viral video proposing to and kissing a female corper. I think such should be private and not in a passing out ceremony. They obviously got carried away. If the arrest was simply based on soldiers not marrying within the first three years then it is wrong. They weren’t married in the video. |
JubrilBuhari:I’ll choose Yekini over him. Yekini is a legend. He might have suffered depression but he had a large heart…and worked hard for his money, maybe grossly misunderstood….pls he was no lunatic. Rip to him. He is my hero anyday. |
paulolee:Those planning big things at 40 might be living more fulfilled life than those that has ‘flexed life completely’ at 30. I’ll pick Ronaldo’s kind of money over this journey man footballer’s inherited wealth any day any time. Enjoying the country’s wealth at the expense of the common citizen of Brunei is not being rich. What would the dad be doing with 500 Rolls Royces??…..England and the Uk will be laughing at such a man. Isn’t that like saying that Sadaam Hussain or Gaddaffi’s children are happier and richer than ordinary Iraqi or Libyan kids…or Dj cuppy richer than a Funke Akindele… |
Blessing Okagbare
|
Fit ladies anyday. Nafissatou Thiam
|
Ebonygeek:The three women are very beautiful and fit. Yes I will date them any day any time. Some posters above know nothing about women and are probably kids trying to discover themselves. Lots of them are either biased and on a herd mentality or ignorant. If you see the above 3 dressed up in smart suits inside a banking hall, you’ll droool. They are well toned and not different from someone like Kate Henshaw. Miss Henshaw is a very beautiful woman, fit, healthy and ever green. Another lady in their mould is Blessing Okagbare…well toned without excessive muscles. |
NCE1:You bit her hand in defence to prevent yourself from being stripped naked. Why did you go back to that well? If it was padlocked as you said, how did you get it opened? Am I missing something here? Is the use of that well part of your tenancy agreement? |
ahnie:What do you mean he was eating ugba and abacha ‘shamelessly’? You have deep inferiority complex issues. Would it make any difference if this man was munching hot dog or sandwich by the road side? Would you feel embarrassed watching him if he was eating sharwarma or doner kebab?? |
Viraltrends123:The man producing those drinks should be prosecuted and jailed…people like you should be excised like cancer that you are. What’s with the ‘you people’ when replying a comment you weren’t happy with. Are you under a spell or curse to think right? Dora Akunyili fought against practices and illegalities like this. People like this man should be taught a lesson. Stop displaying your foolishness online. Focus on the messenger and stop generalising. |
hisexcellency34:Which Eguavoen understands the Eagles well?? Did you read the story or made any attempt to go through Eguavoen’s cv?? The least person to manage the Super Eagles is this man. His career is full of resignation and under performances. If he was a politician, he will be synonymous with abandoned projects. He under performed at Malta with Sliema Wanderers, he was at Enyimba, South Africa….all same story…failure He was at Bendel Insurance. He has managed the Eagles, he was coach of the under23 that failed to get to London Olympics. How did he get this job?? Eguavoen failed to lift any team when there was much support and less pressure, how would he lift an Eagle that needs more than motivation to perform. Eguavoen is not a good manager and he is no crisis manager. I forgot that he was the one who nearly helped Nigeria to overcome italy in 1994 when his encounter with Gianfranco Zola got Zola sent off but he Eguavoen calamitously bundled and wrestled Antonio Benarrivo down resulting in the penalty kick by Roberto Baggio which ended Nigeria’s campaign in the US 94. Eguavoen has failed to develop and I don’t think he should manage the Super Eagles at this time. |
Omoodua007:Idiots like you can not rid yourself of stupidity because you came into the world intellectually disabled. Your problem is ‘factory fitted’. |
Skyfornia:So, the lady shouldn’t fan herself because Sanwo Olu was stirring the food in a wok?? How did she lack respect? I think she and whitemoney should’ve had the face covering on just like the governor. |
It is sad that someone like her…a known face on our tv should be arrested and locked up by the Nigeria army. It’s embarrassing that the members of the Nigerian military involved in her arrest attempted to rape her. This is not a news to be celebrated and I mean.::the fact that she wasn’t raped isn’t to be celebrated. I think this further indicts the shamelessness and unprofessionalism that’s evident in the army. If it takes a powerful figure like Al Mustapha, Abacha’s ADC to prevent that ignominy, what about other less known or unknown females in the Nigerian army/military captivity? To Abike Dabiri…I hope she doesn’t start to celebrate Al Mustapha as he was involved in her ordeal. He only appeared ‘at the right time’ to psychologically send a message to her to mind her business. He did not prevent any rape. He wanted to show how powerful he was at the time. News like this isn’t good on the image of Nigeria, Nigeria military and other law enforcement agencies. |
Is this true? I hope it is. Long may you reign sultan. His Nigerian counterparts need to learn from him. If this was in Nigeria, the 14 year old child and her younger sister would’ve been kidnapped and imprisoned in the king’s palace. The king wouldn’t wait for the child to be offered to him. The family of the children would be threatened, kidnapped and imprisoned if the offer resistance. |
How in earth could anyone eat that? How could anyone cut, cook and eat snakes? |
Shellsploit:There’s nothing like the above in Igbo. Ife onye tolulu ogo ya abulo usa. Tolulu ogo….come of age Tulu ego….’spray money’ tụlụ ego…make financial contribution |
Nicklaus619:He will get a job in the hospital if he applies. It’s never easy no matter the city or country. He will have some challenges but job wise, he will get jobs. He should make contact with Nigerians living there. Reach out to Nigerian students at Solent and there sister school, Southampton university, Nigerians working at the hospitals and other places. There are also jobs in the care homes and at Southampton port which is next door. Some of the challenges he’d face getting job in healthcare/NHS is the occupational health part….proving he has been vaccinated against mumps, hepatitis etc…he will be vaccinated if he hasn’t been. It might take time booking appointments etc. |
fisayodayo:Southampton is a nice city to live and study in and Solent Uni is also a good place for AI and data science….not sure about the job prospects in your field but you can get jobs in healthcare while you study. There are two big hospitals in the city…Southampton General hospital and Royal South Hants. RSH is closer to Solent Uni…like 10mins walk or less. SGH is about 25mins on the bus or less if you are driving. Your campus is nicely located in city centre….lots of high street shops, recreational park, art gallery, Southampton train station and there are shops around Saint Mary selling Afro-Asian food stuffs…you’ll feel at home there. My advice…as a student, look beyond your field of study…you might get something related to IT/AI….you can get jobs at SGH or RSH to support yourself while you study |
chatinent:Like mkpurummiri addicts, Isiewu and nkwobi can also do lots of harm to you. Why would you want to be high on cholesterol? The above indulgences contribute to high level of cardiovascular issues amongst young people. Take those drugs sparingly. |
Recall that the former Governor on Saturday through his verified Facebook page pledged to encourage Enyimba with the sum of one million Naira if they win the Tunisians Enyimba had on Sunday prevailed 2-0 against their Libyan opponents in the playoff round fixture at the Enyimba Stadium Al Ittihad SC is a Libyan club but the match was played in Tunisia because of the insecurities in Libya. |
Emergingnation:“International community”. Who are they? |
Emergingnation:I don’t believe the military….but I know this is a prelude to something more sinister. Whoever concocted this would plant more IEDs on a heavy traffic route…kill and maim civilians then blame IPOB for bringing devastations to south east. Even a novice would’ve concealed those device properly. Nigeria army and DSS are testing the mic. |
See how smartly dressed these men were. They were well trained, disciplined and they epitomised the type of military many young Nigerians wanted to join including myself. I think their training and discipline contributed to their successes during the conflict. I wanted to be sarcastic but Buhari’s dressing gives me joy and prevented me from derailing the thread. The tailoring was top notch. God bless whoever made those uniforms for them. They all looked very ‘sharp and smart’.
|
walkbrazil4k:That’s not true. |
Precious girl…They are eager to meet and hook up with you.
|
Preciousgirl:This is not a surprise. Your taste in men is similar to your taste in food. These men would like to meet you.
|
Generalwoodz:That wasn’t a condom but I can see oga’s hat there.
|
This is a bit exaggerated but some of them dressed like this man.
|
That dance was meant to be some form of punishment. The move for those who understand is actually a modified ‘Frog jump’ but in this case instead of making the young man to frog jump, he was forced to squat and hang while moving his core muscles. The soldier would get up but the boy would be forced to dance like that. His quadriceps would be on fire, his legs would be shaking and when he collapse, the soldier would flog his back. That was no good dance. If you want to know what that young man was going through, try bending on your knees like that and stay there for 30secs. |
