SHINJA: Two young men have been reported missing after visiting a ‘girlfriend’ in Calabar.
The young men identified as Henry Agbo, Wisdom Ofri, are both staff of a logistic company located along the Murtala Mohammed highway in Calabar.
They were reported to have visited a lady who they met through a social networking site, facebook.
Sources say, after series of chat, the lady invited the duo to her place at Ekorinim 2 where they could meet.
One of their friends identified as Uforo, who was lucky not to have followed them told out reporter. “they have been chatting through facebook messenger with the girl and that day I was supposed to follow them to Ekorinim 2, where the girl asked us to come and see her, but they left before I could come out”.
Both Henry and Wisdom are from Ikom local government area of Cross River State, while Uforo is from Akwa Ibom State.
They then took a tricycle to meet with the said lady. “That was the last time we heard about them. Because after awhile, we kept trying their numbers, but it has remained switched off. They have also not returned home since then“
The incident happened on Saturday, last week.
Another source who described the boys as hardworking young men said “at first we thought it was a case of kidnap, but we have been to all the police stations in the state capital, including the Anti Cultism/Kidnapping squad at cultural center, Zone 6 and even the police state headquarters and have not found them. They have not returned home since then and all their numbers have remained switched off.
“There are not lazy boys that we will say went to do something else, the kind of work they do is a really a hard job. So we are surprised ” said the source.
As at press time, attempts to reach the police spokes person in the state, Irene Ugbo was unsuccessful as she did not pick her calls. A short message sent to her was also not replied.
Incidents of kidnapping and ritual killings have covertly continued to remain rampant within the state capital and environs.
Last year, several mutilated and headless bodies of mostly women and young men were discovered in a valley along the busy Odukpani-Calabar highway, close to the city gate. Despite public cry, the state government kept mute about the incident. No arrested was made, nor a committee set up to investigate the strange act.
Kelechi20007: I recently got admission in a university in uk for my Masters. The challenge I have is that I can't fund it. The only way to to do so is by selling my mom house.
I'm her only child and another difficult challenge is that she was buried in the yard of the house 5 years ago.
I don't have a good job, I have been teaching in a private for a long time, I need a better future for myself, I'm seeing a chance here for a better life by furthering my education in uk.
It's a difficult decision for me selling the house with her grave in it. Please guys put yourself in my shoes, what will you do in this kind of situation?
You've decided to sell the house already, you only brought this nonsense here for sympathy/justification
kanuisagoat: If Bolt fare is too low, the honourable thing to do is to leave their app, look for your own passengers and set your own fare.
This act of stealing from riders is callous, heartless, insensitive, inconsiderate and must be condemned.
The other guy who cheated a rider on a delivery ended up with a blown engine. My prayer is for such to befall every other person who engages in sharp practices while on this job.
Fourteen hours driving to make 14k everyday...no time engine no go blow. No be until you thief rider money, na wetin we dey try tell una since be dat
subsidywise18: Essentially, the DISCOS are not making enough money from end users to pay for excess power
1.Cost of power is too low due to tarrifs being kept below the cost of production(and the subsidy paid cannot cover the losses...even with subsidies, DISCOS still need an extra trillion naira)
2.30% of subscribers do not even pay for the power they use...government, rich and poor.
At the end, DISCOS have to reject power, or go into more debt.
Nigeria has to pay for power at the market price for all this to end. You want power, then pay the money for it.
Shut this market-price narrative already it's bullshit.
The problem with discos (and gencos too) is the dilapidated transmission infrastructure. Let FGN unbundle Transmission Coy of Nigeria and watch as miracles happen in the power sector
Segzy19: There is no part of yoruba or even Nigerian culture that accepts this.
There people you see here are just depraved people. Anyway, we are at the end of times. So taboos and sacrilegious acts like this will be common.... People will ditch culture and moral values in order to carry out their depravity... That's what you see in this video

oikirodah: BATIANS : Na Dem Dey Rush Us, Beautiful Selfies With Tinubu And APC Youths Tears The Internet Apart(Photos)
Nigerians are very playful and take advantage of any opportunity to have a good time.
A follower of Naira Marley is known as a MARLIAN, and a fan of Bola Ahmed Tinubu is known as a BATIAN.
Officially, Nigerians have coined the term BATIANS to describe Tinubu's supporters, and the moniker appears to have stuck.
So, Her Excellency, Aisha Buhari, the First Lady, hosted APC presidential hopefuls and other APC stakeholders at the presidential "palace" for the Iftar Break yesterday.
Obobs come and see how the APC youths were rushing the Jagaban for a selfie, are all these the BATIANS we talk about?
Tinubu's popularity keeps soaring everyday, which one come b BATIANS again for the matter?
When person too popular for this country him disciples must find name give themselves.
