Those I've helped withdraw cash or those who did so on my behalf haven't come across this issue. Heck, First Bank in my area still paying those with face masks on undecided

Other carriers except AT&T release their kdz which got img for OS upgrade.

In the case of AT&T, only option is flashing engineered bootloader, normal flashing or cross flashing (installing EU version of Android 10 in US G8) but it isn't possible because you'd get IMPL error (sign your LG device will be bricked).

Now for cross flash to be possible, there's a program/file needed called firehose.
Some people in China got their hands on it and won't leak or sell it for whatever reason.

The plan is to use the firehose to "nuke laf partition" to disable dm verity and enable you get into fastboot mode.

From there you begin your journey to flashing and tweaking.

You will need AT&T Sim to get updates or you can cross flash rom, Wat I meant is you can cross flash European or Korea rom to ur phone so you can get updates without AT&T Sim, check xda to know how to do it

Cross flash isn't possible for AT&T devices since them at China don't want to leak the firehose which is needed to get into fastboot mode and AT&T won't release kdz files for their phones.

Hope Transsion knows that apps are getting "heavier" and the chipsets they keep reusing can't run them efficiently despite that big battery.

If they know, they shouldn't come and start threads about "big battery gaming phone".

Honor what exactly? Anyway follow this

1. Google XDA developers
2. Go to the site
3. Click the search button, input the name of your device (of that doesn't work, model number works too)
4. Your device should pop up. Click on it and go to a section called "ROMs, kernels and recoveries".
You should find answers there but if you don't find any, then no development whatsoever for the device.

Dunno about before but customs is 20k and that'll increase price. Meaning the 49k will be 70k you'll be spending.
You'll get the phone in a few weeks to a month, also you might not get it.
Best option is up your budget and check in xiaomi thread store.

They dont have assembly points in the US because it's more expensive to do so. But not all the parts are from China.

1. They can't afford to make all the parts cos if they do, their products will be bloody expensive, say $5000 up

2. Purchasing parts from vendors (Samsung, Sony, BOE, etc) is a better alternative to reduce cost.

3. Assembled in China is cos of cheap labour.

4. The coke example is a clear example. If Coca cola in USA insists on distributing their products, coke for naija go pass #100 and they'd be running a loss cos you yourself won't buy when alternatives dey for #100.

5. Apple can build assembly plants in the US but US laws will force Apple to answer to the US, things like privacy will be a thing of the past for Apple and iPhones will be the most expensive smartphone.
And there's talks of Apple moving their HQ out of USA cos the Senate are churning out ridiculous privacy laws that's going to affect all smartphones.

i wonder where you guys buy your devices from. maybe from road side sellers. i have used two infinix devices before switching to Samsung and i can say infinix is good from my own personal experience.

The xiaomi you are canvassing aggressively for also has its own problems. from miui update and battery drain issues to ghost touch issues. visit xiaomi forums or even their thread here on Nairaland and see various complains. i hope by the time one or two problems pops up in yours, you will also come here to update us?

They're speaking from past experience.

Enter xclub and see that Infinix got issues too (not naija xclub as most don't even know what ghost touch or screen bleed is).
Worse is the devs acknowledges bugs but would spend an eternity to fix them (if they seem it unnecessary or see it's not affecting the device in a bad way) or wait till the mods are harassed and threats start flying around.
