Health / How Did You Feel When You Discovered That Clean Toilet At Work? by kremlin01(m): 10:23pm On Aug 26, 2022
Hi everyone,

This might sound wired to some but somehow I believe I am not in this feeling alone so I thought I share.

So.. I am promising youth who is very conscious of hygiene and cleanliness is a turn on for me. I find it difficult sharing toilet with other people and as such do not use public WC , I make absolutely sure that I do all my business at home before leaving for anywhere and on some days I keep my business to myself until I get back home to my nice and comfy WC.
But as I grew older and the need to hustle more, spend odd hours away from my comfort zone .. I knew I had to adapt or end up in the hospital some day.

So one of my daily rituals is to handle my business at the White House in the mornings but since I often work early shifts it has become close to impossible to perform my usual rituals daily. Wherever I go to work, I find myself hunting for that clean toilet that people rarely use or I try to know the cleaning schedule for the toilets at work so I can conduct business just after it has been cleaned .

It feel so excited to use a freshly cleaned toilet..
Am I nuts to feel this way or are there other like me out here.

Please be kind in your comments.. lol

In the name of all that is good!! Are we now supposed to rely on “French media”?? It is not understandable for me how the lot go the extra mile to defend a system that has not favoured all and sundry. If Candidate OBI lied, then with all the right facts and figures assuming things are in the right place now… why are we suffering and evident retrogression in the country today

There’s need for Nigerians to do things differently in the coming years ahead. We shouldn’t continue like this or we will be indescribable in the future.

Romance / Re: He Blocked Me After I Called Him A Liar For Sending Roses To His Cousin! by kremlin01(m): 6:40am On Dec 18, 2019
Alwaysachick:
I've been seeing this guy since we got introduced to last May. First off he asked me if I was in any relationship and I said no. So we kicked off got intimate within 2weeks. Happened he was a virgin and that was his second relationship.

He is into me for reasons I can't figure out, but he is very unstable and unsure. Before we got intimate, I felt we were already dating, but after that the constant highs and lows made me ask him again and he said he cares about me, but he is not ready for something serious now. I love to respect peoples decisions and not clingy so I let him be.

He kept coming around, he always needed one help or the other cuz he was new to the area. Sometimes when he ask for help, he says he will pay but for where, I just felt he didn't want to raise my hopes.

I told him off severally, but he kept coming, same high and low, we get intimate once in a while. Personally, I love this guy but couldn't say if it was mutual.

So fast forward to last week, he gave me his tab to help him do some work. So in the course I playfully went to his photos and saw nothing but as an old girl in the game, I went to his recycle and saw romantic pictures with a girl at the beach. The only thing is they didn't kiss but everyother thing termed romantic was in the pictures. That same beach event, but alone, he tagged it on Instagram as " create time for love".

I asked him who the girl was and he told me it was his friend from Abuja that just came him so he was showing her around town. I'm an outdoor freak, I've suggested to take him to the beach but he turns down that he doesn't like the beach.

He also claimed the girl is his friend's girlfriend and that his how they all play with their girlfriends.

Another, was a post of a delivered cake on Instagram to someone in Abuja. Quote" I owe you roses for every breath you take" he said it was to his cousin that she was having a bad day.

At the peak of the argument he said i should stop calling him a liar and I can think whatever I want he doesnt owe me any explanation.

I even had to call his close friend who introduced him which I have never done before to know if he was in a relationship but he said no ofcourse I didn't expect him to say otherwise.

So later the day I sent him a text of appreciation for the decit because he never wanted to commit and never wanted to go.After reading, he blocked me. Its three days now, he is yet to unblock me.

I really want to know if I should just move on or apologise for calling him a liar. Or was I wrong to have concluded he was in an affair.

I want genuine suggestions please I'm still heart broken.

Right now there's nothing here for you...but maybe he might come around later.

Damilolacoker:
Hello everyone I'm 24 years old and I have been married for three years. last year we had our first baby . Prior to our wedding, I and my husband decided I'll be allowed to work once our baby is old enough to attend day Care. Now our daughter is almost 2 years and he has refused to let me work. We've had countless arguments about this and it always ends with him saying women who work are not always submissive. I cannot be a full house wife , I am educated and cannot sit at home all say.

He recently told my parents I was being rude to him and they're all saying I should do whatever my husband wants. I love him but on this issue, I refuse to agree with him.

The other part here is he doesn't like me correcting our daughter. She's almost 2 and it irritates him whenever I try to potty train her or scold her. He insists I go to check up on Her at school during break hours. I understand that she's quite young but as her mother, I want the best for her.

Now he's changed towards me, he doesn't care or pamper me like he used to , sometimes he refuses to eat at home and when I try to speak with him, he's always very cold. Please help me, I don't know what to do anymore.

Wow! You married quite early and this might pose a problem to your perception of these things.
Marital problems are solved solely by the couples thenselves. A third party can never have better insight to you issuse than the both of you. Both of you must also open yourselves to understanding eachother and not be stern in your ways.
He is your husband and his fears are not unfounded but you must know him better and find a way to sell your ideas and communicate your challenges to him in the civilest manner.

You have to take some hard decisions. Your parents failed you by not fighting for you, it is now left to you to save yourself.

You should be doing something meaningful with your life. Why did he not marry a stark illiterate instead of imprisoning someone's daughter.

Go and start looking for a job and avoid getting pregnant at this period (that is what some men use to pin down their wives). If he wants to break the marriage because of that, let him. You can't just be sitting on your hands waiting for him to feed you for the rest of your life.

Edited to add for the slow pokes here yarning dust under my comment:

No sensible man will divorce his wife because she got a job. She can't be crying about not being able to do a job when she does not even have one in the first place. For how long will she continue to nurture her husband's insecurities?? She should look for a job that won't be too far, somewhere she won't have to close late so he won't have more ammunition to use against her.

Many older women today regret not standing up for themselves on time. The earlier the issue is trashed out the better.

You are obviously not married..#smh

Muttee:
Business executive, Tonye Cole narrated an incident he witnessed on a plane between renowned writer Wole Soyinka and a Nigerian man.

Tonye Cole said Mr Wole Soyinka got on the plane and took the window seat. When the young man assigned the seat boarded, he insisted Mr Soyinka leaves his seat. Others on the plane, including the crew members, begged the young man to let the Nobel Laureate have his seat. But the man insisted on sitting where he was assigned.

Mr Cole said this is an indication that our value system has been eroded and youths no longer have repect for elders. Ms Mo Abudu and Kate Henshaw commented, agreeing with him that the young man's behaviour was unacceptable.

I hail the young man in the baseball cap for his valour, may he walk and never stumble. There's nothing wrong with Soyinka sitting on the aisles. What is right, is right..

The day we tell ourselves the truth is the day bigotry begins to die. If the school doesn't have a problem with students singing christian songs, praying in christian ways and attending school on Friday why should they have problems with Muslims wearing hijab. It's a government school, financed by tax payers monies from members of every religion on the land be it the old gods and new.

I don't know your age or your status but your opinion is very crass... Comparing Nigeria which is a secular state to core Islamic countries is unreasonable... this is Nigeria where you are allowed to practice religion of your choice. As muslims we have no problem with any forms of dressing every others wears. but Hijab is our identity and we shall not compromise on this... what I don't understand is why are you feeling insecure about this.. inferiority complex is the order of the day.

My brother you are right about Nigeria being a secular country and Hijab being an identity. But know that the school environment is not a place to forge identity or represent clan but it is a place of learning and interactions and can't freely have that when the pupils are not allowed to relate freely. Plus..shebi their are Muslim schools and if the parents insists that their wards must wear the apparel, then they have the choice of taken them to the pure Muslim schools instead of disrupting peace were it has always existed. Except if there is an underlying intention.

2)enormous corruption and looting
3)excessive tribalism and nepotism
4)uneven development across the country
5)poor leadership in each state
6)long period of time before states get their acts together
7)most states have NOTHING to depend on
8. )no federal grant means states like jigawa, nasarawa, kwara etc cannot afford to pay their civil servants
9)it takes decades to build an economy which means all the states must go back to the 19th century
10) there will be war and chaos
11) with the current living hardship no state can bear economic building
12) states controlling their resources means enormous theft, all the thieves in each state will have access to state treasury and they'll surely empty

Blame the white people that amalgamated this country

Politics / Re: What I Will Do To El-rufai For Calling Me ‘tribal Bigot’- Peter Obi by kremlin01(m): 9:54am On Nov 11, 2018
Wise words from a wise man ..

Modarun:
The Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Peter Obi, on Saturday called on Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State to stop making hate speeches that will divide and destroy the country
Obi said this while reacting to El Rufai’s tweet describing him as “a tribal bigot.”
El-Rufai had in a tweet claimed that Obi supported his (El-Rufai’s) arrest by the Department of State Services, DSS in 2014 on the ground that “El-Rufai has no business being in Anambra State as it is not Katsina State.”
Obi, while answering questions from journalists on the matter at a youth programme in Nnewi, Anambra State on Saturday, expressed shock at statement from El-Rufai.
According to him, he would only pray for El-Rufai and encourage him to concentrate on doing those things that will better lots of Nigerians rather than engage in hate speeches.
He said, “This is suggesting that it was what he sat down to think of rather than thinking about how to solve the many problems plaguing the country.
“What His Excellency, Gov. Nasir Ahmad El Rufai said about me has been brought to my attention. I believe that as we grow older and are saddled with more responsibilities, we are expected to become circumspect in our thinking and avoid recklessness in our speeches and utterances.
“How does the circumstance he referred to relate to bigotry to warrant such a label?
“All I do for people like El-Rufai is to pray for them and encourage them to concentrate on doing those things that will better the lots of Nigerians rather than engage in hate speeches that will divide and destroy the country.
“At this difficult times in our country, when thousands of our brothers and sisters across ethnic divide are killed all over the country, including innocent citizens in Kaduna state; millions of our children from all the parts of the country are out of school; millions of Nigerian youths from all the parts of the country are without jobs, our pre-occupation, especially among those that are in government should not be making reckless speeches.
“What our leaders should be doing today is seeking solutions to the numerous problems of our dear country.
“I am aware that during the said election he referred to, security agents merely restricted his movement because he had no business being in Anambra as I would not have been in Kaduna on an election day.”
The former governor of Anambra State further appealed to Nigerians, especially those in positions of authority, to avoid what he called “the dominance of the vice of hate”
