onoerime: It is no more a news that the Chinese companies in Nigeria are indirectly enslaving nigerians but I am wondering why the federal government of Nigeria has kept mute to this barbaric acts of these people. I shall carefully pin points some of their misdeeds maybe the appropriates bodies could read and come to the aids of nigerians.
SALARY SCALES... I want to use China civil engineering construction cooperation (Ccecc ) as an example.
Labours- between.#15000 and #21000
workmen_ between #27000 and #31000
STAFF- between #45000 and #50000

WORKING PERIODS- 7.30am-6.00PM @30 days that means no rest days.
PENALTIES... penalties for offense committed could range between #5000-#20000 and could be deducted once from your salary.
JOB SECURITY- insecured.
Apart from salaries paid, no extensive employee packages. No health insurance, no paid time off from work, no retirement plans for workers, workers are fired at will, what pains me most is a Chinese man beating up a Nigerian because of a slight offense. Sometimes a whole salary could be seized just because of an offense. Why, why, why, these Chinese men are highly respected in Nigeria yet nigerians are enslaved home and abroad. The labour unions will come and do investigations but nothing happens thereafter. LAMATA pretends as if they hear or know nothing hmmmm. Can nigerians go to other countries and allowed to act this way?

I cannot believe we are still considering locations for Ebola victims. They are still contemplating places to evacuate,so as to make room for the victims.
Last two months when i read abt an awareness campaign,i assumed certain things were put in place for preparedness,but i guessed wrong.
This unpreparedness is causing chaos. Chaos breeds confusion. In the midst of confusion,objective thinking is virtually impossible.
Now we are running about,looking for secondary contacts. Soon it will be tertiary contacts.

Slapping, kicking and dragging Nigerians in open dirty gutters at the slightest provocation is a passtime affair among uniform personels in Nigeria.
You see that police will even kill someone who is not armed with a catapult and nothing will happened just because he is uniformed.
Reason is RESPECT to us as Nigerian is not part of their induction either you are a criminal or other-wise.
In other clime, there is still respect for people that have been sentenced, but here, one can even be gunned down by our power drunk officers even for only traffic infraction.
Examples abound...
The brigandage their commanders allowed to fester will somehow infect them one day...
What goes round will surely comes round... It's a matter of time.

wirinet: See why we have been advocating for true federalism where every state would be responsible for its own security, power, resources, and other issues except monetary policies, defence and foreign relations. This present system where an elected governor can be harassed by federal police is a recipe for anarchy. If GEJ should try such with a northern or south western governor, the reactions of the people might engulf the whole country.

If GEJ and his people are enjoying the injustice of today, others should exercise patience, what goes around comes around, GEJ cannot be in power for ever. They would receive triple after they lose power.

One would have thought the SS would have used the opportunity of having power to correct the structural imbalance and injustices they claim to be fighting for by ensuring resource control, land control and other issues to make sure states are semi-autonomous, but instead they are enforcing and exploiting the status quo. Nigerdelta citizens have not moral justification for screaming resource control and true federalism after 2015 or 2019.

What do you do when you receive a series of pictures like this? You ignore them? Delete and think, thank God I am not living in Iran? This does not happen in my world ....

security source has disclosed to

The source stated that 200
soldiers had been sent on the
operation to reclaim the base
from the Islamist insurgents who
overran it and took it over a few
days ago. Our source stated that
the militants, who had hoisted
their flag on the base,
had dug a trench where many of
their heavily armed gunmen lay
in ambush awaiting what they
knew would be the
inevitable arrival of a contingent
of soldiers to retake the base.
As soon as the soldiers
approached, the Islamist
militants surprised them by
opening fire from their trenches,
killing as many as 15 soldiers
and wounding many more, said
the source. “Some of the injured
soldiers said that they lost 15
soldiers, but the full extent of
those who died is even unclear
now,” he told our correspondent.
“I went to the MRS Hospital in
Maimalari barracks in Maiduguri.
The hospital is filled to capacity
with injured soldiers,” said the
source. He added that the
hospital was so stretched
thatsome of the wounded soldiers
were on the bare floor to
receive treatment. “There’s a lack
of space and facilities to
accommodate the injured
victims.”
Our source said the injured
soldiers were enraged that they
were sent on such a high-risk
operation without enough
firepower and troops to take out
Boko Haram insurgents. “They
are very angry and the
atmosphere is tense,” said the
source.

The brt in this case was going on its way. It was the okada riders fleeing from the police that went against traffic onto the brt bus lane and had collision with it.
The brt couldn't avoid the collision as they were both moving. And the okada riders and passersby apparently attacked and burnt the police vehicle seems they felt they triggered the accident.
So the burnt police vehicle here is involved in the tragedy and the brt bus was on its lane before the bike ran into its path.
I see no similarity here unless you are trying to be mischievous to justify the show of shame by the 'professional organization'.

I see all these pictures of transformation and I keep asking myself this question: What were all our other leaders doing for the last 30 years since 1983?

How come its Jonathan revamping the dead railways and building brand new tracks?

How come its Jonathan rebuilding our horrific airports and building 5 brand new ones?

How come it's this same Jonathan fixing the death traps we previously called roads?

How come its Jonathan who privatized the power sector and is overseeing its massive redevelopment?

How come every other leader forgot to properly base our economy and suddenly Jonathan comes in and we are now by far the biggest in Africa?

How come Agriculture has finally come back and why is it happening in Jonathan's era?

And to think that all this is happening in the midst of the greatest security challenge Nigeria has ever faced?

What on planet earth did our leaders do in the last 30years where we had extraordinary peace? In 3 years Jonathan is doing what they didn't do in 30 years? This for me is a massive mystery!

greatgod2012: how are you so sure of Amosun in Ogun state, because what i read on FB about Amosun is frightening and i won't be surprised if he couldn't make his 2nd term, and honestly, i don't want him in that office after the next election, not because of non-performance but because 2nd term is usually unfavourable to the electorates, and infact, no public office holder should be allowed two terms in office, it's always suicidal!
