Call for a decent solar plan for your home and businesses comprising a 1kva luminous inverter, 2*100AH battery and 4*150W solar module for up to 18hrs uninterrupted power supply daily. All for just #345,000

What is the brand of your battery? I ask because I've seen so many offers on installation of solar home systems from 1kVa and above but when I ask about the brand of battery, they're usually substandard. Hope you'll oblige me. Thanks in advance.

Politics / Re: PDP To Buhari, APC: “You Have Betrayed Almajirai After Using Them To Get Power” by KrystosCJ(m): 10:38am On May 12, 2020
To the part of the north that is still bedeviled by backwardness, high rates of homeless kids, malnutrition, worsening health and pauperism I believe you should never trust any of your kin who wants you to vote them into power because they will only use you to get what they want and fling you away.

Just look at history - no matter how many times any leader of northern extraction comes into power, there's always a decline in the level of well-being of his people and the sad part is that they know it and exploit it to their advantage, and when satiated, they look the other way.

Every now and then, there are so many social enterprise ventures, interventions by international aid organizations (e.g. Oxfam, FHI360, DFID to mention a few) and medical outreaches in the north yet they never seem to grow. So much spent on the north, even from outsiders, so little to show for it.

To the almajiris and their collaborators (those who spawned them and those who used them), this song excerpt is for you

When the going is smooth and good
Many, many people will be your friend
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!
When the going is smooth and good
Many, many people will be your friend
But when the going becomes tough
Many of your friends will run away

My prayer is that the total number of cases in Africa does not exceed the total number of deaths recorded in the US, Asia and Europe combined. Those countries do NOT love Africa and will jump on any opportunity to strip us without anything left.

Which work is he doing? This news is just damage control. He is in danger of contracting COVID-19 and self-isolated for 24 hours?! Are the people in the damage control section of Aso Rock media clueless? Don't they understand that COVID-19 self-isolation procedures require the suspected person to self-isolate for a period of 14 days?

This is, and should no longer be a joke to the Office of the President. This is no time to reassure. It is a time to face facts and do whatever is necessary to maintain the President's health.

Even the person who photographed him and every piece of furniture in that office needs to be quarantined, if he actually resumed.

I will be waiting for a newspaper to run a poll on whether Nigerians are happy (or not) that he has contracted the virus.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Trump Calls COVID’19 A “Chinese Virus” by KrystosCJ(m): 5:06pm On Mar 17, 2020
alezzy13:

There is a difference between naming a virus (by a body such as WHO) after a place (geographic location) and naming one after an entire race, especially at a time like this.

The use of the racial adjective is crude but accurate. When such descriptions used for things that are generally agreed to be positive, it is lauded. When used for something negative, there will be some disagreement.

PS: You could have just struck through the paragraph that contained the message that irked you rather than the entire comment.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Trump Calls COVID’19 A “Chinese Virus” by KrystosCJ(m): 2:20pm On Mar 17, 2020
Lassa fever originated from Lassa, a town in Borno State, Nigeria. The fever was named Lassa fever with respect to its place of origin. Trump is simply doing what WHO should have done. They did the same with Zika virus, with Ebola and the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) which originated in Saudi Arabia in 2012. But, Trump as we know him, doesn't give a shit.

Whether Chinese or Wuhan virus, it still originated from China. After watching Contagion (2011), everything that played out in that movie is over 90% similar to what the world is experiencing with COVID-19. The way the team from Hong Kong abducted the WHO official after she traced the index patient to their territory shows the subdue tactics that the Chinese government used to prevent information from leaking that they are responsible for the virus. Most Asians and Africans have unsanitary food preparation habits. But the Asians, because of their population, have the largest practice in volume.

Why would Jack Ma send medical supplies of such magnitude to the US, Europe and Africa to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic? I think it's because of the Chinese government's culpability in the spread of COVID-19, and he's trying to deflect the entire blame that China deserves.

Meanwhile, this Mexican beer has suffered sales.

If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy. It is a universal truth that the loss of liberty at home is to be charged to the provisions against danger, real or pretended, from abroad.

Business / Re: I Released My House Document To My Cousin To Obtain Loan, How Can I Get It Back? by KrystosCJ(m): 2:43pm On Jan 23, 2020
wwwkaycom:
I gave my house documents to my cousin to take a bank loan of 3 million naira but I like to retrieve my documents back because of the way he and his wife have been doing things since October, 2019.

He is involved in sales of agrochemicals. He discussed with me on how profitable the business is but that he didn't really have money to put into it.

The wife lost her job in the bank and had to join him in the business. Being a close cousin and friend of mine, I gave out my house documents to him as collateral and the bank actually came to do some inspection in my house and I signed some documents.

The big issue now is that my cousin have not paid a dime back since August last year when he got the loan and between then and now he has done 3 parties that I'm sure gulped lots of money. The wedding of his younger sister in October, wedding of his brother in law in December and 40th birthday of his wife in January. These were serious lavish parties which I think could be done modestly.

I asked him on Monday about the loan and he said his moratorium will expire in February and there's no cause for alarm. This is different from what he told me before I released my documents, he said he will have gone far in repayment even before the expiration of moratorium. I reminded him about this but he said there is no problem about his ability to pay back since the business is lucrative.

I also discovered that one of our uncles actually borrowed him 2 million naira in 2017 which he hasn't paid back till now, he hasn't paid a dime back, I didn't do due diligence before releasing my documents to him.

Uncle told me yesterday that he would have discouraged me from giving out my documents if I had informed him before the loan was granted. Uncle also told me that he disagreed with him about his clubbing and partying lifestyles as a struggling businessman but that instead of appreciating his concern, he and his wife fought him and boasted his 2 million naira will be paid back before mid 2018 but till today he hasn't paid a dime. Hope I haven't shot myself in the leg with this help which I think I rendered to a friend and family?

The worst part of it is that my wife was not fully in support of my intention to help him then.

Where do I start from good people?

He promised to start paying by January ending, if he fail to do this, is it possible to break that bond and retrieve my documents from the bank? Can I tell him and the bank that I'm no longer interested in guaranteeing the loan? I'm afraid, kindly help.

The OP is truly confused and extraordinarily inept.

I really clap for the person who formulates all these Zee World stories. Honestly, who would be so dumb as to release his home documents to a cousin, not even an immediate family member, for him or her to borrow loan? It seems the author of this piece is still dwelling in his dumbness of past years and will never recover. Maybe he thinks these kinds of stories are relevant.

Politics / Re: FG Plans N97 Per Litre Fuel For Common Man by KrystosCJ(m): 12:01pm On Jan 17, 2020
The CNG idea is going to be a massive failure unless our government finds a much more sustainable alternative that does not attempt to address only the cost-side implications.

CNG, or compressed natural gas, is stored at high pressure, 3,000 to 3,600 pounds per square inch (21 to 25 MPa). The required tank is more massive and costly than a conventional fuel tank. Commercial on-demand refueling stations are more expensive to operate than LNG stations because of the energy required for compression, the compressor requires 100 times more electrical power. This means that the time taken to fill a CNG tank, measured as gasoline gallon equivalent, or GGE for short, ranges from about 5-10 times that required to fill a normal fuel tank.

Just a few advantages:
- CNG – tends to corrode and wear the parts of an engine less rapidly than gasoline;
- CNG also emits 20-29% less CO2 than diesel and gasoline
- CNG emissions are cleaner, with lower emissions of carbon;

However, cost (monetary, environmental, pre-existing infrastructure) of distribution, compression, cooling must be taken into account. Generally, the cost of setting up CNG production, distribution, compression and cooling infrastructures disincentivizes take-up of CNG as an alternative to gasoline or diesel.

Your suggestion to remove tarrif on solar is a good idea. But in this news, the Op just want to incite people. It is the European Union and German government that are financing this as their support for control of climate change. And not Nigerian government or tax payers money.

We both know that this "financing" will be repaid by the Nigerian government. If you know GIZ well, they don't do this stuff for free. They're the same with FMO, Oikocredit and all other social investment managers. If they truly wanted to address the negative effects of climate change, they would not invest in cook stoves that run on non-renewable energy. They would focus on renewable, sustainable energy like solar.

Did you know that India has over 83 gigawatts of solar energy installed and in use in their country and has mandated all companies operating in their country to adopt full use of solar energy in their operations? They have enabled these companies to obtain solar energy systems by removing the tariffs on solar products and granting tax exemptions for up to five years for companies that will comply.

Instead of this government to remove the import duty on solar products and other solar-powered products and stimulate uptake of solar energy products in our country, they are busy looking for avenues to waste taxpayers' monies and enrich themselves through inflated contract schemes. I have observed that GIZ is mentioned in this foolish venture. Such a shame! To think that they would be involved in distributing cook stoves that represent the past, fading technology.
Travel / Re: Proposed BRT Fares Increase: Are The Reasons Valid? by KrystosCJ(m): 5:51pm On Jan 10, 2020
Lagos state is rich enough to take care of the maintenance and still charge less fees from passengers who patronize these buses. Instead of cushioning the VAT hike by making it easier for people and goods to move without financial strain, they've decided to announce an increase like PHCN so that they can fill up their pockets to the brim.

Seems the bigger picture is that Fola Tinubu is using his company and his connections in Alausa to support Bola Tinubu's political influence in Lagos. What better way to do that than by "enriching" him, since many political zombies worship people who have the most money to waste (not by their hard-earned labor but by pen-pushing, fraud and milking the masses!)

These are the same miscreants that will travel abroad and see the good things that Caucasians are doing, creating and admire it. But when they come back, they can never replicate what they saw in a sustainable, affordable manner so that we can boast and be proud of our homeland.

The prophet Elisha asked Namaan to go and bathe himself in a natural pool of water without charging him a dime and yet a pastor builds an artificial pool, fills it with water from a source that is visibly man-made (it may well be a concoction of demonic origins because I won't put it past so-called pastors these days) and asks his "faithfuls" to take a dip for a fee.

For this pastor, your miracle is no longer by faith. It's by your wallet.

At the end of the road, it may be by using a walking stick in their own house that will kill them. If they won't go to use the bad road, the bad road will find its way to them and use them.

That's all.
