Ok lemme just say some stories submitted already, I did not even read. If your beginning aint catchy, I am sorry I am not going to bother myself reading the effing the rest of it. I am very disappointed in people, some didn't even pass for a grade7 composition


Use of big words in literature has made people fail ENGLISH a lot, going through a dictionary more than ten times for a short story is agonising.

Guys, were ya'll given storylines? Most of you wrote about dreams like really? Be creative, be yourself and don't follow the crowd please.

The Judges I choose are very different, you might even find out we do not read each other's stories because they might not be our genre and that's what makes us all unique in what we do.

Lastly, please do not write because others are writing, this is a calling not something you wakeup one day and decide to do.

@First bolded,like seriously? So you wont even bother reading a story that doesn't catch your fancy with the first paragraph/beginning?
I believe no matter how dumb,stupid or clueless a story is,you as a Judge should read it.. Atleast you owe the contestants that..
If you cant read it,then why are you a judge in the first place?

Isn't it your responsibility as a judge to read the story and point out the flaws to the writer,no matter how stupid the story sounds?
I just hope this comment of yours doesn't discourage those who haven't submitted their work yet..

@Second bolded,you have to realize that we humans sometimes,or in most cases tend to think in the same direction .. People who signed up for this are more than 10 in number,so its only natural to see some people including dreams cos no one has the exclusive right to boldly hit his/her hands on the chest and say "I'm the only one who thinks this way"..
To prove my point,haven't you in some rare cases sat down,coined a special username you'll like to be using for a site,social network,email e..t.c only to find out that someone else has chosen the name before you?

If something as sophisticated as an username which requires certain special characters formed in our thoughts can also thought upon and used by another party who probably lives in another continent,thousands of miles away from you,then it's only normal to see more than one or two writers including "dreams' in their works..
Also,considering the fact that we still have about 10+ submissions to go,you had better brace up yourself cos you might as well see more dream stories coming up on your screen..

For those yet to submit,pls go ahead and use dreams in your story if that's what you've been planning on.. Afterall,they are thousands of crime,horror and love stories on the web but the best of them always stands out..

korexes: Even though i love the story to bits, i hav 1 issue ooo, i dont like the way bisi changed, she has changed completely from the bisi i loved at d begining,( she jumps into conclusions easily, when yemi was silent she thought he didnt love her anymore, not my own bisi) she is too vunerable, fragile 4 my liking, iam not saying she should not change, but not too much. I really love her strong character. Thanks

The only difference between Bisi and the so-called 'strong women' you see today is just that "glowingscenes has given us the opportunity to hear bisi's thoughts(cos its a story) while Nature on the other hand, has been stingy enough not to share the thoughts of strong women in the society with us..

They act stone-ish,behave strong and use the slightest opportunity to show their toughness,even when its un-called for and unnecessary but deep down they are something else..
Deep down,they aint strong,deep down,they are vulnerable..

Deep down,they are just like weightless chaffs waiting to be blown away by the wind of Love..
All they need is just the right re-engineering and with the perfect formula,their 'toughness' will turn softness..

Always make sure you copy your work before hitting the submit button,just in-case it effs up.. When that happens,all you have to do is paste.. Experience has taught me a bitter lesson..

Mine was about 2,997 words after i finished typing.. I had to re-read,figure out a way to cut-off about 300 words + to meet the required 2,500 on the dot..
