PRESS RELEASE

The Governing Council of the University of Lagos, at its meeting on Monday, May 31, 2021, approved the immediate dismissal of Dr. Boniface lgbeneghu of the Department of European Languages and Integration Studies, Faculty of Arts and Dr. Samuel Omoniyi Oladipo of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, from the services of the University. Council, at its meeting, considered the Report and findings of the Senate Committee set up to investigate allegations of sexual harassment levelled against them in a British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) World Service Investigative Series titled AFRICA EYE (which centred on sexual harassment in tertiary institutions).

The Council consequently decided and approved that both Dr. Boniface lgbeneghu and Dr. Samuel Omoniyi Oladipo be dismissed from the services of the University for misconduct, with effect from Monday, May 31. 2021 in line with section 18 of the University of Lagos Act 1967.

Council further directed that the Management should review the Sexual harassment Policy as may be necessary and institute effective strategies to prevent future occurrence.

Dismissal not enough, they should be handed over to police for proper prosecution in court and if found guilty they should serve their prison sentence without mercy.

I have my ticket already. Flight slated for next week. I decided to check out the domestic airport today and see things ahead of time but everything was so confusing . I don't know much about flying but what I do know crystal clear is that once your flight ticket have been confirmed paid by the airline, you will receive your boarding pass which will spell out the details of your flight itinerary.
Just make sure you arrive at the airport early enough for your flight and security checks because the line sometimes is very long.
Best bet just walk straight to the preferred airline counter at the airport they will help you out with whatever questions you have and same as your arrival at your destination just ask questions and people will help.
Am flying back to my base today myself after l flown inn two days ago for some family functions and my flight is slated for 11.45am but am wide awake now so as to catch up with my morning routines, return the car I rented for running around and still make my flight back .
It depends on you and what you want to do for the day but you will be fine if you catch one or two from my response here.

The hatred they have for him and his loved ones might triple.
We know the truth but are not strong-willed to takes action and anybody that does is tagged wicked.
There are redundant staff at the same time some departments are understaffed. why should secretaries in hospitals be more than Doctors and Nurses combined? why should security and messengers in a university be more than Technologist+lecturers?

He should've assessed other routes of relieving the workforce of "sit and talk" staff.

Maybe placed an embargo on employment, forceful retirement of those close to retirement and paying them their entitlement, check for ghosts.

Even in our little capacities to make things work, you'll receive letters signed with green ink tire.

I gave up, let things keep falling apart.

I will not dignify this argument with more responses again, until the governor make it public that the retrenched workers won't be paid their entitlement after been disengaged before I can say otherwise. The outcry looks like a pre-emptive public response to one of the governors characters but in the meantime I personally will give him the benefit of the doubt on his intended plan's.
But most government of the world are yielding from hiring more workforce but rather employing more tech in delivering governance and providing enabling environment.
