Christianity Etc › Re: Was Jesus Christ A Muslim? by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 3:03pm On Aug 17, 2011
It seems unbelievers are the ones who have the right expectations about Jesus origins than the Christians and Muslims. He was a citizen of Nazareth with lineage rooted deep all the way to King David or even farther. the fact that he grew a beard and wore a dress does not make him Muslim or Christian. It was just fashionable to dress/groom that way. I bet if he was an Agbero like John the Baptists, the poster will ask if Jesus Christ was a Yoruba man smiley (no ethnic slurs intended)
Christianity Etc › Re: Top Ten Signs You're An Atheist by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 11:28pm On Aug 16, 2011
The problem with Christianity is not the literature but the latitude for personal interpretation. it is like a match-stick, one minute it is a twig, next minute it is a stick insect and the next minute it is a tooth-pick. one thing is for sure - - it always is-- a match-stick.

I admit atheism IMHO is not as fashionable as is Christianity and all the other re-touchable social ideologies. As much as we hate to admit it, It gets old and worn as foretold by Jesus himself -- there shall be a falling-away not necessarily as a result of the devil but as a result an increase in knowledge. the more you know, the better you understand and the easier it becomes to discern Spiritual Truth from Error. we are unabashedly Old-fashion and set in our ways.

It would have been worth the insight going by the title, but your 10-points are the same ol purist posturing and baiting with the intent to argue rather than reveal.

The GEJ Administration has no need to fear Military Coups in West Africa, all he needs to do is develop and Amnesty Program for the Army. it seems to be the most viable strategy these days, I hear City People is being offered Amnesty to reduce publications of Madam Dame grin
Politics › Re: Governor Jang Appoints Son As Special Adviser. by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 1:35pm On Aug 11, 2011
Obviously Plateau State has a lot of young Retard5s that Jang could not find any to fit the position but his Son.
It is not a matter of qualification but a matter of Ethics. What is "Special Duties" anyway . but let us not worry our dullard brains over this. There is no height of injustice you can met on a Nigerian that will make them standup and say Enough is Enough. So Jang, Carry on. I wish you had made your young Nanny a Special Adviser on "Very Special Duties"  grin
Christianity Etc › Re: A Big Disgrace To Religious Nigerians by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 10:17am On Aug 09, 2011
@Joagbaje and @mabell. I have read your comments through this thread and I must say whatever respect I have for you from an intellectual/scriptural/philosophical standpoint has been irremediably eroded. In summary your absolute faith in scripture is bereft of Discernment. Without Understanding, Knowledge becomes poignant Illiteracy and without Wisdom, Understanding becomes a dangerous tool for Social/Religious Conditioning. You definitely have Knowledge and Understanding - you have not demonstrated Wisdom (perhaps intentionally); it is a common puristic malaise silently plaguing today's religious leaders.

The practice of Witch-craft is REAL - I won't argue about the material influences on society but I will say this. I am not a fan of the Old Testament barbarism but I am sure you will agree with the more lais·sez-faire democratic NT regime (ushered in by Jesus Christ and institutionalized by the Holy Spirit) has this to say

Matthew 18:10 See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.
Whatever happened to the Adult Witches huh have they become extinct or is it no longer fashionable to be a Witch when you become an adult huh Children have now become the target of Religious leaders, to be blamed for every failed prayer rendered to God and to strengthen the Ministry of impotent Men-of-God whose parasitic fangs on their spiritually (and financially) impoverished congregation has begun to weaken. It is unfortunate that Christians hide under the guise of scriptural purism and religious reforms to perpetrate acts of evil for the sole purpose of extending a tainted religion founded on psychological and spiritual slavery. The problem is not Christianity, the problem is Christians. is God so impotent he allows his blessings to mankind be possessed by spirits of Witchcraft and get killed for something they have no control over? I dare say - I wish the times of Tribulations come speedily - Christians deserve what is coming to them
That is the role of a good opposition party. Aren't you in yankee right now? So you should be used to democracy
Oga haba. the role of a good opposition party is not to point at faults without providing good direction. I am not surprised you have not in your usual feisty self sprung up in defense of this ACN proposition. They have just pointed out a fault but the direction they have provided is much lamer that the faults they have pointed out  huh
Politics › Re: Acn Seeks Suspension Of Night Travels By Passenger Buses by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 9:09am On Aug 06, 2011
When ACN loyalists, sycophants and Tinubu apologists come to roost lipsrsealed, alcohol aplenty and beer-filled conversations become the order of the day grin

The Security of this Nation (Not just the Oduduwa Nation) is a fundamental and indeed pivotal base for Economic, Social, Political progress. Security ensures Justice and Justice ensures Democracy. ACN are just looking at scoring any point. This problem is not new and even a secondary school student will tell you that the proposal is a hair-brain effort at best. What ACN should have pointed out and backed-up with intelligent discourse (obviously impossible when you are intoxicated) is how to bring Police Reforms back to the drawing board and offer practical steps to gradually improve Security in the Nigeria. What ACN has done is to demonstrate the weakness and flimsiness in their propaganda machine. Real issues are hardly discussed with the intention of proffering solutions instead they are used to score political points instead of truly addressing the needs of the people.

@Poster suspending Night Travel, why not suspend movement after 6:00PM all over Nigeria. Security lapses must be addressed that is the direction ACN should have proposed rather than this half-wit presentation not even suited for a primary school debate angry
Webmasters › Re: Get Your Website Up And Running In Less Than 15 Minutes Using Joomla Cms by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 8:52pm On Aug 05, 2011
Hello @Adewoye Se

I have grown lazy designing websites and coding them from scratch. it used to be fun, now i just want to get it done and over with and see my money in the bank.

I downloaded Joomla and have some Joomla templates to work with. from your experience, how steep is the learning curve, would i still be able to dig in and modify code as i see fit, I am concerned over the clearly humungous bucket of extensions available to Joomla. it does seem over-rated but then that is just my inexperienced Joomla self talking.

Nairaland General › Re: 50 Crushed To Death On Abuja-okene Highway by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 3:55pm On Aug 04, 2011
Unfortunately Nigerians are no longer moved to action because nothing really happens after this news. The Police claim to be fighting crime day-in day-out but we cannot even measure their performance because there are no records of their performance. Insecurity in every form has dominated every corner of Nigerian Society and the FG and various Security Agencies are too lazy and ill-equipped to do anything about it.

There is no plan to improve security or implement Police Reforms. there never will be any from the looks of it.
1: children are not safe because the day a teacher feels he is too poor, your kid will be kidnapped and you will pay the ransom
2: The day Money-ritualists run short of cash, a man's simple trip from Ikeja to Illupeju will end up in a jungle somewhere in offa where he will be beheaded along with hundreds of unfortunate citiziens who planned to reach home and sleep peacefully with their families
3: The day a man gets stranded on the highway, he will meet his end from the cruel hands of Area-boys lurking under the bridge
4: The day a family sleeps through the night, they will never wake up because the usually peaceful mallam has cut-off their heads at night.
5: The day a man goes into the bank to withdraw his meagre salary will be the day armed-robbers have chosen for him to meet his maker.
6: The day you leave your child with the Nanny is the day she decides to run-off with him never to be found
7: The day you meet drunk and angry policemen at night is the day they decide you earn too much to be a honest Nigerian - 2 shots to the head is enough for you.

There is no Security in Nigeria and there are no plans for any. Thanks for Voting and not knowing how to protect your vote
Politics › Re: Ikemba Ojukwu, The Peoples' General, On A Speedy Recovery Track. by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 3:39pm On Aug 04, 2011
I respect the Man as an Activist but utterly have limitless hatred for him for failing on BIAFRA leaving scores dead, dispossessed and stigmatized just like the Germans after Hitler. I will never forgive him for that. When you plan something as significant as a secession that will lead to Civil War, you must run it through and through, a Blade run through a wild animal will ensure speedy death, leave it half-way and it becomes a wounded lion, much more dangerous than a dead one (obviously). The Igbos have carried the stigma of BIAFRA till this day. It has now become popular culture to ridicule, isolate and cheat the Igbos when it comes to Politics, Economy or Social sphere. He should just carry on his journey so his memories are completely forgotten
