As many as it takes to expose the lies of this false religion.
You admit it is false - so why bother waste the effort, better yet why not focus enlightening yourself further. This life is for the fittest, the weak die out. even "God" lays down this rule in the Bible. so ignore the billions wallowing in self-delusions and blissful ignorance and continue on your path to enlightenment (Knowledge+Wisdom+Understanding+Revelation)

Let me let you in on an open secret

Action Movies sell because of these key ingredients
1: A very Bad Guy with a role that elicits the following (Godlessness, Evil, Fascist and thoroughly chauvinistic)
2: A very good Guy handicapped by tribulations the very bad guy left in his wake
3: Toss in a lot of make believe 5EX and big sweaty booties and that is all you need.

Wanna sell DIE! grin

Once the army is involved this is what happens; ask the people of ODI, OGONI or even my friends in CHOBA; you guys have not seen anything yet. In CHOBA when mopol came from benue state to protect wilbros the entire village was sacked, they all migrated to Aluu, Rumualogu, Alakahia and Emohua. Anything that moved was shot at and destroyed. People who unknowingly took that part of the CHOBA road to go to the metropolis when they got to the check point they were sent to meet their maker and their left over belongings inherited by the soldiers. As for ODI they just blocked two sides of the east west road, moved in the tanks and artilery together with massive air power - they leveled the place down so do not expect anything less in Maiduguri.
Who was President of Nigeria then? Expect much less or Nothing from GEJ

stildude:
Most politicians are quick to point accusing fingers at the govt in power instead of proffering intelligent solutions to the problem at hand . Some are too scared to take a side (the hallmark of politicians like Tinubu) are always sitting on the fence. America has about the best system in the world, yet, there are all sorts of extremist and supremacist groups, wacko guys that let off fumes on innocent students or people cos of one personal dissatisfaction or the other. These issues are always treated as crimes not  fingers being pointed at the govt of the day. Let's face it, the activity of Boko Haram is criminal and it must be first and foremost seen and treated as such. On the birth of a state or nation, consenting peoples are supposed to collapse or surrender their will into that of the state not otherwise. The clear word for the activity of the sect is TREASON!
Pls. while we condemn unwarranted killings of innocent civilians, we should avoid making statements that tend to excuse any form of crime (or criminality) against the people or state. (the state is mostly the totality of the people)
There exists intelligent solutions for all kinds of terrorism; research as well as working material have proven some methods to work and all point to a fundamental weakness in public governance infrastructure. Social, Political and Religious concerns can be effectively treated within a strong, well-thought out Governance Infrastructure. There will always be crime everywhere in the world but there are some countries where crime is significantly reduced you can say it is non-existent. It is not due to good citizens, it is due to Good Governance. FYI Tinubu is a Political and Social Terrorists and he has sufficient means to force his agenda as he pleases (Only in Nigeria)

I agree, crimes against Humanity is nakedly obvious and cannot be disputed, condemnation is all that it is, a position. it does not enable resolution. What really is the root of Religious Terrorism in Nigeria? Is it truly Religious or Socio-Economic? If such violent groups according to Muslims form a tiny minority of the Larger Family of Islam, Why is the %99.99 of this Family of Islam quiet on Religious Terrorism. like you said, the people must come under the laws of the state. If you are familiar with Nigeria since the re-birth of democracy, you will understand that Politics is played with the hand of Religion and Ethnicity and from that point on, The Rule of Law is as useful as a paper-weight. FG should apply the Rule of Law in all matters concerning governance, Have we forgotten the Odi Massacres, the Jos, Kaduna, Kano, Maiduguri Killings too soon? Are you telling me the FG does not think it important to form a think-thank to review findings and seek better pre-emptive and pro-active means of preventing re-occurrence of civil violence. It seems that for over the past 15 years FG has not laid down any plans to treat this matter except roll in the army.

The State is mostly the totality of the people - Rightly said, but do you get a feeling that majority of Nigerians feel differently about this simple fact? Civil Liberties upturned at the slightest instance with no avenue for justice, crimes going unpunished, elected leadership reneging on its mandate set by the people, Federal/State agencies not held accountable for acts that jeopardize the existence of its citizens? We must call A Spade A Spade or risk falling into a state of ignorance that allows us to treat part of a problem rather than looking at the bigger picture.
Politics › Re: Maiduguri: Soldiers Kill 23 Civilians At Random After Bomb Blast by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 9:50am On Jul 26, 2011
The deeper problem is the emotional reactions from Nigerians without the benefit of hindsight  angry

Boko Haram is not a problem on its own; same thing with Kidnappings, MEND, Religious and Ethnic killings, Insecurity, extra-judicial killings by armed forces, ritual murders etc. It is a symptom of a much deadlier disease that we all too often trivialize: CORRUPT GOVERNANCE. Unfortunately the so-called Founding Fathers of Nigeria's Independence and all our Naive Independence Heroes (we know them) are the very builders of the foundation of corrupt governance that has been sustained by successive regimes from military to civilian and patriotically supported by Nigerians to this day.

When you get Malaria, there is treatment for it, but Malaria is simply a symptom of good breeding environment for mosquitoes, when you clean up the environment, you get rid of mosquitoes and ultimately Malaria is not a crisis anymore.  huh

We (Governed Citizens of Nigeria)  continue to nurture the breeding ground for Corrupt Governance and complain when things do not work the way they should.
Muslim Leadership is only visible when Hajj is around the corner or when Islamic Banking is tethering on the mammary glands of FG treasury

Violence only begets Violence, the Boko-Haram Martyrs of the  first Joint Task Force (Police+Military) only strengthened the followers even more.
Nigeria is not the first country that has experienced Civil Terrorism and will not be the last, but because our corrupt leaders are busy looting and the clueless citizens are busy praying for divine intervention. Crime will go on rampage and there is little you can do about it but prolong the violence.

WE MUST CLEAN THE ENVIRONMENT THAT BREEDS CORRUPT GOVERNANCE even if it means eliminating a vast majority of corrupt leaders  angry (Rawlings Style)

I cannot believe after 50 years Nigerians are still wrapped in the deception created by our founding fathers and sustained by the crooked leadership we all take sides with.

Religious/Ethnic Crisis is necessary for Political Control in Africa. we are all looking at Boko Haram and this new group, David Mark and his crew and smiling to the bank as we engage our minds in a problem our own government is not ready to even touch with a 10ft pole.

It is an all too familiar situation since the late 70s "Ghost Workers"

If the N18,000 Minimum wage is disbursed it will cost FG Seven hundred and Seventy-Four million per month to pay these Ghost workers and believe me some people are cleaning out in all these incompetent and valueless government agencies
Business › Re: How Can I Become A Billionaire At 36! by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 8:12pm On Jul 21, 2011
Ambition Meets Opportunity - learn these words carefully

Billionaires are simply those who had
1: Insight: They saw what others over-looked and worked smart and aggressively towards their goal
2: Guts: They were not afraid to try out the idea - like jumping off a roof without wings. it takes real guts to hope that you will make it to the ground safely (hopefully learn something on the way down)
3: More Guts than the rest: You must be ready to Kill your closest friends (if you must) and eat your children to save them.

The last point is to betaken literally  - Show me a successful man and I will show you his bitter friends. The life of success is all about SACRIFICE. you must be ready to lose a whole lot more than friends and family to become what very few dream of. go ask the worlds Billionaires . You must be ready to eat your children to save them means you must be ready to sacrifice your early years to your dream to recover them later in life.

If this fails, then you can always work to get your reward in Heaven - there everybody is a billionaire even when it does not mean anything anywayz  huh

@MArtian, Manners! grin Even the Theists in all their effort can only offer humanistic reasons for God (any attempt at science requires a leap of faith) Mannerisms, Traits and Physical biology and even mental reasoning and emotional psychology. If i were not being silly I'd swear God is actually human and very depressed, but that aside Religion has its (Social) uses though the road less-traveled and the story much over-told and bastardized for self-serving reasons.

Autos › Re: Attention : All Auto Dealers And Sellers On Nairaland by lagerwhenindoubt(m): 9:52am On Jul 20, 2011
I do not see the deep concerns expressed by dealers as justified. yes you must know the reason why your details are needed. Millions of Naira/Dollars have passed from buyer to dealer on this auto-section. The only ones who have a clue behind the NL id is the actual buyer, most times transactions are done by phone, email or SMS. It is a very fragile framework for doing business, one that can easily be exploited, Some have lost money, defrauded or received a bad deal (Car advertised is not car sold).

Most dealers have websites where they confidently display their full names, emails, phone numbers and address to the public. I believe the Admins should have this information for the following reasons

1: The Legality of Auto-sales via NL is very fragile, anything can (has) happened and there is no legal basis for retribution if your deals goes south.
2: Autos section is different from Dating/Romance where you may want to keep your identity under wraps. It is a business section with real money exchanging hands. God-forbid some lawyer gets shafted by a crooked dealer, He can rightly sue Seun for establishing an auto-trading platform without legal pre-requisites and adequate protection for parties involved. It is a move in the right direction, long-over due.
3: Failed Auto-transactions is bad PR for the Autos section and NL as a whole. At least if the mods have info on all the dealers they can establish some form or arbitration process to settle such matters.
4: Security: It is good to know that your money did not just vanish into thin air. the mods at least know how it started and who to contact

I think the Mods and Admins should establish a Transaction framework that details a straight-forward process for buying a car from a dealer on NL and ensure that enough information is delivered to both parties for their own benefit as well as extricate NL from any legal liabilities ensuing from failed transactions.
