TravelRe: Helicopter Picks Billionaire Stuck In Traffic For 2 Hours On Lagos-Benin Road by lagosrd: 8:07am On Jun 24, 2019
gbosaa:
There is something that I find a bit strange with this news. It’s the mentality of the people: those around the scene, the so called celebrities who reacted and majority of online comments.

In Nigeria we seem to normalise absurdity and praise stupidity or vice versa.
No one has said anything about the cause of that prolonged traffic problem along that road instead the focus has been on ‘wealth, big boy, money pass money, level pass level’. That to me if the real ‘poverty mentality’.

For a country that lack emergency services, where accident victims or very ill persons do not have access to decent ambulance services, where RTA victims would be packed in a hot open back pick up trucks, where no one cares less or doesn’t seem to mind the problems and potential dangers which that chopper posed to the vehicles and people around that scene....the noise, the dusts, the panic. I find it strange.

Did this ‘rescue’ unplugged and airlifted his vehicle from that scene? If not, I pity the poor chauffeur driving this man to wherever.

The one thing I saw or learnt from this experience is the reinforcement of the belief that in a difficult situation, those with means and resources will find ways of escaping the horrors, damn the people around and find their way to safety and comfort while the awkward and bad scenario persists.

Focus should be on finding a way to end the perennial inconveniences which travellers go through in Nigeria.
God bless you insightful thought. I wrote something similar and their boys here just came up almost immediately. I pity this country

A message of love for the two of you.... "Hustle hard (and smart) so you dont just sit down hating on others who have gotten their heads well above water"

One thing both of you acknowledge is the fact that no one knows who the chopper came to pick, we dont know if its even a medical emergency. But strangely, many people just seem to assume the mystery person is an enemy causing their problems?
Your thinking and views about issues are personal but to assume that I am not hardworking and lazy can best fits into your imagination. No one is talking about beef here . All we are doing here is to look at issues from another point of view. So tell me if you were also there, you would have gone to the chopper for a selfie, a typical of our mentality. We hail people who are suppose to manage our resources and common wealth. They are manager and not owners.

Secondly, you supposedly concorted that it could be a medical ambulance or sort. Bro wake up and ask for wisdom from God. I don't expect this from you. Don't let anyone stereotype your thinking along their parochial way of thinking. The vehicle in questions an a private one and another of people are also sick in that traffic jam. Many more would still loose their lives to highway robbers and avoidable accidents. During to bad road and insecurity.

A parting word. I want o quote Jesus Christ on the cross.
"woman cry for your children"
Don't bother about me just use the same advice you gave me in the beginning to work hard...... Good luck

Since you refer to him as a nameless billionaire, your other assumptions should never have come up.

Do you know if he/she is a legitimately hustling tax paying citizen who works just as hard as every other Nigerian, but is wealthy?
It baffles me how you came out of school, I decided to retain the name nameless so as not to accuse anyone wrongly of anything and further generalised my comment. Here you are picking up unnecessary and misquoted issues so as to create a mountain out of a mole. I will recommend you get a comprehension passage english tutorial so as to learn how to summarize and pick the main point of a write up.

This is the same way your people demolished a hotel in abuja. It's not compulsory you watch their movies and if you must advice, they have a president you can talk to. When I see posts like this I make sure I lie in wait ahead of your bias when is evidence in your write-up. Nigeria is a secular nation and you must accept that.

TravelRe: Helicopter Picks Billionaire Stuck In Traffic For 2 Hours On Lagos-Benin Road by lagosrd: 5:13am On Jun 24, 2019
A very big lesson here. I prefer to refer to him as a nameless nigerian billionaire . That is exactly how they excuse themselves from the problems they created. They refuse to build us wider and better roads and left thousands of people stranded on a high way and when they couldn't bear it, he called what is completely out of the reach of most Nigerians to take him away. If we don't use our God given senses, we will forever be ruled to death. Exactly hat they will do when there is a problem. Helicopter services will just be picking and dropping them and their families in safe places.

RomanceRe: Should I Help A Lady That Refused To Date Me 4 Years Ago With Money? by lagosrd: 6:04am On Jun 19, 2019
Help her if you can. It only increases your dignity and respect but make sure you never ask her out again. She will die in silence because of the way God has decided to bless you. She will always say in her mind had I known. MAKE SURE YOU DONT DATE HER AGAIN AND ALSO RESFUSE HER SEXUAL ADVANCES.
FamilyRe: My Wife's Sister Is About To Crash My Marriage, Please Help by lagosrd: 2:35pm On Jun 16, 2019
I feel your emotions bro. Just be calm and take control of your home. You're married right?
1. Be in charge and in control of your home.(the are two different things )
2. Give orders and teach them to respect same. (what to don't want in your home remains a taboo)
3. Your wife is indifferent probably because she thinks you cant lust after her sister while some are just terribly careless about it. Perherps she may be too occupied also. However, you've done well by asking for advice but am glad to tell you that you're in the wrong place because you've probably asked the wrong people here or people who cant feel what you're feeling or have not experienced it at all.
4. Don't talk to your wife about it in secret. To avoid future suspicion.
5. Rebuke your in law in the presence of your wife I. Wisdom and if no immediate changes create an artificial crisis that will make them beg you with the promise that things will change and it will be evident immediately.
6. Always make sure you're in the spirit. Pray that God will help you in situations like this. Cos you need wisdom.

CelebritiesRe: Pastor Tunde Bakare And Korede Bello Hug In Church Pose For Photograph by lagosrd: 5:14am On Jun 13, 2019
grandstar:
Tunde's bakare's church is going to constitute a nuisance on Oregun Road once it opens.

In no sane clime should permission be given by the town planners for such a mega church to be located there. It would cause severe traffic snarls and will be nightmarish for all sorts of commuters.

Frankly speaking, it should be brought down as there was some unethical compromises somewhere.

A pastor should really know better. So called megachurches should learn to respect the Caeser (Read Romans 13:1-7, Titus 3:1)
Baseless. Really you the town planner or the architect?

By their 'Gemu', we know them.

Although it's wrong for his boss to have sacked him. Ain't in support of it. But what if he was sacked because of performance and not his support for Buhari?
What is wrong with what the boss did.
If your boss feeds himself and his family under an Atiku company and also pays your salary with the same revenue and you still think voting someone that will not benefit him will be appealing to him. Then you're a big joke.

nope they didn't and will never have any regrets on that
an average igbo man does not depend on government for survival
they hustle on their own and make living from their hard works even in an unfriendly hostile situations
that's why they don't give a Flying furck when supporting the candidates of their choice
they do so and damn the consequences because they owe no one any freaking apology and favours.
that's how you behave when you're 100% independent.

my question is can any other tribe boast of such independence from government?
People's brain is been blocked day in day out. Igbo should always put any of their sons and daughters into note. Anyone of them that specialises in selling you guys off to any tribe because you didn't vote for them. And keep it for the future records. Okorocha that carried the stuff on his head has been shown way out because of what some people are doing and they don't want him to do same under the guise of party supremacy. It's high time to tell your leaders to stand as a block and stop playing politics like traders. Speak with one voice. If they are not going to give you any juicy offer they should hold on to it.

Watch out what will happen in 2023. Igbo would become the bride of the country. The yorybas will be taken t on the cleaners because of the greed of the north to retain power. They will now want to make the same igbos their vice against the yorybas.
