ospreywin: ..... A lot of you are mentioning digital skill for a married man with 2 kids, he actually mentioned that the laundry business is not enough to sustain family again, as if digital skill is that easy to obtain and earn from instantly, considering the amount of dedication, focus, time, money and relentless learning involved.... Op needs to know how to drive and how to earn with it. Start a ride sharing service like Uber if you are an introvert and not aggressive or a mini bus to run A-B bus stop transport if you're aggressive and not faint hearted. Most of these people giving you advice to go for digital skills in reality are not into it. Don't ever rely on advice from public forums that is far from reality. Engage with real live people for real live advice. Don't go and start what you can't finish with agbako digital skills

Exactly my thought.. A married man with 2 kids now go into tech as amateur. Sapa is dropping letter on his doorstep niyen
If the HR in-charge is someone with an interesting sense of humor. He might just laugh out loud.. Hence calling him up for an interview, and get the job if he perform well in the interview.
Pentolution: Here was what an applicant wrote as his hobby in his résumé.
This is an evil thought. Please don't act like this. Mostly, it will end in premium tears for you.
BeautifulWoman: DON'T TELL HIM until he proposes. No man is worth knowing about your personal life unless they are willing to spend their lives with you.
The best time to tell him is the day he pops the question(proposes). The moment he does, don't say yes yet but tearfully tell him you don't deserve him or a good man like him. He will be curious and ask why. That is when you tell him. At that point, he will be sober and trying his best to show you he loves you regardless.
Make up story, for you to be together for six month, if you guys meet in person and hang out for the six month, you would have develop a normal ground of discussion. Except you are not filling us in with the whole story or you need to hang out more with him to explore what is in his brain... Most first class students have hidden intellect. And how did he toast you in the first place?
cynosuree: Good morning. This issue has been bothering me for a long time, and I feel like it's too sensitive to ask for second opinions from people I know so I figured I'd maybe ask some strangers on the internet.
I've been with my boyfriend for about 6 months now and he's everything I ever wanted in a man. Physically, he's gorgeous, and he also loves me alot. He's kind, he's patient, communicates effectively and all. You know, all the good stuff.
But here's the problem, he cannot hold a conversation beyond "what are you doing" , "what did you eat" (and all that boring stuff) to save his life. I'm not even talking about intellectual conversations like quantum theory or anything, normal conversations about stuff that's happening around the world or around us. Anytime we try to, it usually fails spectacularly. He either ends up missing the ENTIRE point and saying something totally unrelated, or he just waits for me to say what I think so he can go "Yeeaaaa that's true" , leaving me really pissed.
He has absolutely NOTHING intelligent to contribute to any serious conversation, and this hurts me alot because it is a HUGE turn off and I'm slowly losing interest in him. It's a very tricky situation because he does/did well academically, he graduated with very good grades but that's about it...nothing more. I didn't notice it at first - before we started dating, or I would never have dated him because it is a deal breaker for me.
I have considered telling him but I don't exactly know how to approach the conversation without being rude/insensitive, I know telling him would really hurt him and I don't want that. I've also thought about learning how to live with it, because no one is perfect right? Maybe I'm asking for too much?
The latter option is what I've been doing and it's gradually killing me. I fear that I'll fall out of love completely with him and end up hating myself for ruining a good thing, because he's a really good guy .
Exc2000: Some of you just open your mouths without any form of reasoning.... I can bet my balls that you haven't even travelled or stepped into any college outside Nigeria yet you are comparing UniLag to almajiree schools out of stupidity
the fact that Nigerian schools don't get rated high doesn't mean they are substandard, it simpy means they are under funded for research and have less papers published in academic journals... in terms of lecturing and delivering knowledge which is the primary responsibility of a uni, I bet you they far out class many , our graduates in Nigerian University are breaking bariers in top colleges overseas, my very own sister who graduated with 2.2 in accounting LeadCity Uni Ibadan , proudly graduated with 2.1 and almost clinching 1st class in law.. in University of Liverpool
PS: I haven't even attended a pubic institution anytime in my entire life nursery to uni was in privates, but I have seen lautech , U.I , OAU, and UniLag graduates do what many grads of other schools cant

Our government is our problem, the same China that their citizens are here mining our resources illegally, and after being arrested, some set of Nigerians are pressuring for their release... But we see and read how they are maltreating our country people in China.. Our leaders are the one enslaving us all because of some riches...
ijustdey: The former lawmaker also urged China to respect the rights of Nigerians, noting that there were many illegal Chinese migrants in Nigeria, who are not being singled out for maltreatment by the Nigerian Government
Am not a fan of the man in question, but the man on track with what he said according to your write up... Forget your fact checking... Stop faulting people's comment because you want to make trend. She is wrong and the man is right.
The reason there is record number of Americans filling for unemployment is that their current employer are doing them a favour of releasing them now, because they don't know the future of the economy, if they are not released now, and the pandemic hit harder, the companies might not be able to cater for them and they will simultaneously loss out for the unemployment benefits which will run till the end of the period
ValCon888: Which jobs? Are you not hearing there's a record number of Americans filing for unemployment?
We muslims are our own problems... And the so called MURIC or the junks they name themself are not speaking our minds... They are just speaking for themselves and some other fuckers that are Rubber stamp to the government. They should be scraped and proscribe.
Everytime they come online, they are always spitting shit. And my fanatic Brothers too be hailing them.
You all should call on your lying selves to solve the corona pandemic. He once said he does not need civilization. If you and your followers like bark from today till tomorrow.. AMOTEKUN is here to stay and nothing you fuckers can do about it..
Osiris16: Dear Op, plenty hope. I graduated at 30 too. I decided to do NYSC anyway. 30 and above you can to choose to serve or not. I was retained by the organisation where I served. From then on I have risen steadily, I’m working in my third organisation now. At management level. I’m far above my secondary school mates who graduated way before me In my class in uni then, I had other students far older than I was. One became the NBA chairman of his state recently. So there is hope. Each of us in this life, our walk is different The saying goes, whenever you wake up is your morning Don’t let your age be a barrier. Don’t look at others timing. Some start early. Some start late Colonel Sanders founded kfc when he was 65. While Zuckerberg became a billionaire at 23 Just run you own race
Skills like? Considering is curse of study... #CuriousToo
sofiscatedmoron: Go and learn skill,, add it to ur cv, no employer will rush u because u studied Business admin,, Rather ur skill will speak for u which can make them to rush u,, or u can get a skill and run away from Nigeria
This is not too bad, he's human and a citizen of this country as much as all of us that stays in homes like this.
Its because of the social media that is available to all of us now, that makes it easy for us to see amd judge what is like to dethrone and Barnish a King. Its the tradition.
Am not saying it's bad or good. But he knew what he was entering into when he signed up for the thing.
He got there thru politics, and the same politics gave him out.
Let's be guided in our judgement of the whole issue..
But you dated her for 3years already.. she was not too young then. You talk like you reside in the north, and that is more like their culture. Perhaps 17years is eligible to go into marriage so far all other requirements are being met.
You just trend softly, and don't over put mouth in other family's affair because of young Love. Pray
Forced17: is that a reason for her to marry at that age?at 17!!!!
Am a Muslim, but all i see all over this post is Hypocrisy... It's okay to deposit my money in those banks but it is bad for me to work in them..
This is Nigeria and not Saudi, Kuwait or Iran. How many non-interest banks do we have.. All of you have your money deposited in all these banks, you don't see it as Haram, but you see working there as Haram. Fear Allah before you start pushing posts like this to the general public. This is so so misleading. If you want to talk about issues like this, be ready to spell out all the clauses included in them.
It is not allowed because it helping one another in sin and transgression. Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: It is not permissible to work in a riba-based institution even if a person is working as a driver or guard, because that means that he is working for the riba-based institution, which implies that he approves of it. For whoever disapproves of a thing would not work to support it, so if he is working for it that implies that he approves of it, and the one who approves of something that is haraam is also guilty of sin. But if he is directly involved in recording transactions, writing, sending and depositing etc, then he is undoubtedly dealing directly with something haraam. It was proven in the hadeeth of Jaabir (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) cursed the one who consumes riba, the one who pays it, the two who witness it and the one who writes it down. He said: “They are all the same.” Fataawa Islamiyyah. 2/401
The Standing Committee was asked about a man who worked as a night guard for one of the banks, and he had nothing to do with the bank’s transactions – should he continue with this job or leave?
They replied: It is not permissible for a Muslim to work as a guard for banks that deal with riba, because this is a kind of cooperating in sin and transgression, and Allaah has forbidden that as He says (interpretation of the meaning): “but do not help one another in sin and transgression” [al-Maa'idah 5:2] Most of the banks deal with riba, so you have to look for a halaal means of earning a living, not this way. And Allaah is the Source of strength. May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions. Fataawa Islamiyyah, 2/401, 402
Steve28: Why are you pained, the lady just said her mind and come to think of it why are cigarettes not been advertised on television all over the world
Who says they don't advertise cigarettes? My brother they do, I grew up knowing some advert for some of them. But later, the consumer protection agencies stood up around the world because of the minors and the mode it was being advertised ( in the advert, everyone is always on suit and classy, so they feel it's misleading for minors), in advance country, it's being advertised at wee hours when they assume minors are meant to be in bed.
Because those ones are being install to the position by the government and will do anything the government bid at the expense of the ASUU and other University workers
jcflex: Why is ASUU against this policy, since it did not affect them.
why not leave the fight for the University Management and Governing body to address it with goverment, since it affect them more directly.
Please be precise, it's not true that they have full time jobs. What they have is side hustle like every other citizen hoping to meet the economic demand of the country. We need to see reasons with people sometimes. Not just being enslaved by the government. Give examples of lecturers that you feel have another full time job and what sort of job they do.
Thank you
rottennaija: A fat lie. Most Nigerian lecturers have multiple full-time jobs. It's just as saying there is no sex for grades in Nigerian Universities.
I gat you bro... But since you have a parent that can feed you, please just try a little harder, am sure you will do just fine soon. Don't settle for less. What works for today might not work for tomorrow.
