Mycoin:Hell no. It started by honoring drummers during ceremonies by Yoruba and they extended it to others, mostly to ladies. It was criticized and then banned. The Igbo picked it up, it turned into something else. They graduated to spray guns. Later the Hausa joined in. Eye service to spite the poor. All these in the land of poverty. Sad. |
How many Nigerians do you know that made their first million without throwing away towards Europe or America? |
This guy is one of the most intelligent Africans around. If it was not for discrimination which he fought and was compensated for in the USA, he would be a world leader. But politics is not for everyone. There are better ways to contribute than mix with thugs and hoodlums. I can understand his ambition to lead because we cannot leave politics to vagabonds alone. With his intelligence, he can create an empire to lead youths out of poverty with jobs, jobs, jobs. He had a job and businesses from which he created all the social services in Anambra. He needs to provide the same jobs in Anambra. See how mumus dey abuse an honorable man. It is the type of insults they give a decent man and vote for crooks. |
These blind loyalties to Tinubu may be understandable as fire sent against fire of those that never wish Yoruba well. But to call a man of such character a Yoruba leader is an insult to past leaders and a poker in the eyes of Lagosians. Tinubu can never win a contest in an election in the whole West as past leaders did. It is one thing to enjoy support of Yoruba as a fighter against those that do not wish them well but another to be their leader. |
No doubt this woman is notorious. But it must not shade her point. Has CNN credited anyone in their video? This would not happen without a lawsuit in the US. |
Whoever operates the refineries, it will still be a loss to the people. Either by outrageous profit or milking the Government for "subsidies". We have people like Atiku and Obasanjo that sold Government properties to themselves and their cronies. They then quarrelled publicly in from of us about who cheated who and got a bigger share! Our problems has nothing to do with refineries but greed with impunity. Why is cement cheaper in other African countries where Dangote established in a jungle without a single enabling environment? Nigeria, no matter who is in Power will bleed to death unless the country go back to Regional Governments. chrisooblog: |

In the first place, Pfizer the US company did not develop the Vaccine, they bought into it. The company of the son of a Turkish immigrant in Germany developed it while American Pfizer beat their chest like you. https://www.trtworld.com/life/turkish-germans-behind-biontech-and-pfizer-covid-19-vaccine-41305 Americans killed and hide more black talents than Africa. What was the intention of soldiers leaving their barracks to do what they were trained for? What were they shooting blank and live bullet for? Only God knows how many videos has not come to light in the process of negotiation for money. LH is right, more videos will come but when? My only problem here are fake martyrs turning themselves into Jesus in Lagos. LegendHero: |
When Obama came out and told you America is going to be self-sufficient in oil production and would not need Nigeria's oil, you all blasted him for telling the truth. But boy oh boy, only foolish people live large on foreign money they don't print. Only Africans do that and get praised by fellow Africans. Una eye, no. Our eyes go see red taya. hero2000: |
Nigeria has some violent cities like America but I know where to go and where to stay away from in my neck of the hood. The color of my skin is not one of my problems in my Sweet Homeland. |
Think about how Jonathan became Acting and full President. He respectfully appealed to Nigerians, campaigned and beg for their votes in the North and South. When he finally got what he wanted, the boy that grew up without shoes became arrogant, called his kingmakers agbero motor cars thugs and became selective like the Hausa and Fulani in his choice of most powerful positions. At least he got the position first. Now some people are demanding the Presidency as non-negotiable in whose land or region? A dey lauf o. Let each Region become President at home. I don taya for one Nijeriya. |
There are too many blames and reasons for Nigeria's demise. Even in your own land, cities and villages strangers come in to blame you for their own problems. Why do you think Trump is popular in America and worshipped by some Nigerians? This is not the age for tolerance and accommodation at home when there is no peace for you outside. At least you can have peace at home in your own land when opportunists and parasites leave. |
Used the name for publicity stunt. Any reasonable Nigerian would erase that name and how it became notorious from their household. Abacha son is next for award. Anu Mpam |
New video shows Quawan Charles leaving home days before teen was found dead in Louisiana sugar cane field By NELSON OLIVEIRA NEW YORK DAILY NEWS NOV 18, 2020 AT 10:36 AM TODAY'S TOP NEWS VIDEOS Police in Louisiana have found a new video showing a Black teen leaving his dad’s home and getting into a car days before his dead body was found in a sugar cane field, a mysterious case that has sparked calls for a hate crime investigation. Authorities said the Oct. 30 footage appears to show Quawan “Bobby” Charles sitting outside a neighboring business before running toward a car driven by a friend’s mother. That was hours before the boy’s family reported him missing and four days before cops found the 15-year-old’s body in Iberia Parish, about 20 miles away from Baldwin, where he lived. ADVERTISEMENT An autopsy found that his death appeared “consistent with drowning,” but authorities are still investigating whether it was the result of an accident, a homicide or a suicide. The case has sparked outrage in the community as the teen’s parents claim police were slow to investigate his disappearance and failed to issue an Amber Alert. The family also shared a graphic image of Quawan’s body that has drawn comparisons to the famous photo of Emmett Till, the 14-year-old Black boy who was lynched in Mississippi in 1955. Police say the case did not meet the legal criteria for an Amber Alert, which typically requires evidence that a child was abducted or was in imminent danger, among other conditions. “We didn’t see where it felt that it met that criteria of an abduction or kidnapping because there was no eyewitnesses or no one to say that he had jumped into a vehicle, or someone kidnapped him or beat him and took him into that vehicle,” Assistant Chief Sam Wise, of the Baldwin Police Department, told local news outlet KATC on Tuesday. The new surveillance video, which police reportedly obtained on Nov. 11, suggests Quawan, the driver of the car he got into and her passenger briefly went into the teen’s backyard to play with a dog, Wise told the station. “And then they eventually got back into the car together, each took a turn opening up the door, got in the vehicle, drove off and left. There was no signs of a kidnapping or abduction at that time,” he said. Attorneys for Quawan’s family said the driver and her 17-year-old son “took Bobby from his home without his parents' permission” that day. It’s still unclear if the pair has any involvement with the boy’s death. The family has also complained that police tried dismissing their fears by telling them that “Bobby was probably at a football game” and didn’t try pinging the boy’s cellphone until three days after he went missing, the attorneys said in a statement last week. This undated photo provided by the family through the NAACP shows Quawan Charles. Activists and the American Civil Liberties Union of Louisiana are calling for an independent investigation into the death of Charles, a Black 15-year-old whose body was found Nov. 3, 2020, days after he was reported missing. (AP) Authorities insist they’re “working hard to ensure no stone is left unturned” in the investigation. “I want to assure the public that I, and my team, are doing everything we can, and following every lead, to gather evidence into what happened in the untimely death of Quawan “Bobby” Charles,” Iberia Parish Sheriff Tommy Romero said in a news release Saturday. Leaders for the local NAACP chapter have joined calls for a federal investigation into the case, which they said “looks like a hate crime.” An autopsy report obtained by the Daily News shows the facial injuries on Quawan’s face were likely inflicted after his death. “Post-mortem injuries on the face are likely aquatic animal activity from the decedent being found in water,” officials wrote in the report, which also cited “muddy water” in the boy’s airways, hyper inflated lungs and water in his sphenoid sinuses. The OP story portrays a callous man that refused to come to the aid of cyber friend that claim she is hungry. Now, even here on Nairaland, many guys give story worse than this. Some of us pitched in whatever we could. There is no way you can give everyone. Yes, there is hunger in the land. The worst mistake is when you give the little you can once or twice and they lapped on to you. In this case, we do not know how many ladies wrote the same to the guy and how many times he gave. The only problem I see here is if someone you care that much about is hungry, please do whatever you can to reach out and help. If she abused it, cut her out. |
It is hard to put genie back into the bottle as Boko Haram exploded. They refuse to learn. Buhari, despite all expectations, could not defeat Boko Haram sponsored by his colleagues, not the previous government as he once indicated when out of power. If he could not contain Boko Haram; #ENDSARS is just a tip of the iceberg. The Revolution is here already. They are just waiting for the Army and Police to turn against the Privileged class where they can extort more money than they do from the Poor and working class on the streets. https://www.nairaland.com/6259995/spare-innocent-lives-bunissess |
If this is true, which is not far fetched, who is going to protect the ordinary people? This was predicted by reasonable caring people but Rulers would not listen. Now the Police and Army are coming for the Politicians. https://www-modernghana-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.modernghana.com/amp/news/1043366/spare-innocent-lives-businesses-do-not-turn.html?amp_js_v=a6&_gsa=1&usqp=mq331AQFKAGwASA%3D#aoh=16056157156108&referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&_tf=From%20%251%24s&share=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.modernghana.com%2Fnews%2F1043366%2Fspare-innocent-lives-businesses-do-not-turn.html |
You people should give at least one credit to Africans. Heaven only helps those who help themselves. They gave you Bible and Koran in exchange for your brains. Germany funded the development of Pfizer’s COVID vaccine—not U.S.’s Operation Warp Speed Berlin funded the research and development; the U.S. committed to buying the end product. BY RILEY GRIFFIN , DREW ARMSTRONG , AND BLOOMBERG November 09, 2020 11:14 PM EST It’s said that success has many authors, and the encouraging data from Pfizer Inc.’s experimental COVID-19 vaccine had plenty of people in Washington lining up to take credit. Vice President Mike Pence was among Trump administration officials saying support from the government’s Operation Warp Speed program helped accelerate the development of the vaccine, which was found to be more than 90% effective in preventing symptomatic COVID-19 infections in an interim analysis. https://fortune.com/2020/11/09/pfizer-vaccine-funding-warp-speed-germany/ |
Just to provoke an argument eh? Till today today, it takes Yoruba men to liberate Igbo ladies from slavery, widows from drinking the water used to wash their dead husbands, denied land and political positions once married to outsiders. But then, Yoruba ladies freed themselves from being the possession of Yoruba men a century ago. Till today today when Igbo man see Igbo lady with any man outside his village, na fight o. This is why smart educated Igbo ladies prefer to marry Yoruba. If an Igbo man marry Yoruba lady and bring her home eh, na chieftain titlle he go get. Na you start this o. |

Very impressive. This is not only Igbo as a problem. It is common in Africa where parents speak English, French and Portuguese to their children as if it is classy. It seems that in foreign countries, it is easier for the girls to pick up African languages than the boys. Girls have a wider part of the brain for languages. Even Hausa high class have problems with their kids speaking Hausa. After all, Buhari is not fluent in Fulani despite his mixed blood. |
These pastors, imams and fanatics that divert money into their pockets by joining politicians to loot the people into abject poverty will never stop. Why? Mumu boku for Nijerea. I think he means he would be a kon koni man like Trump. |
The way USA and Pfizer were beating their chests, you would think the 90% Covid-19 immunization discovery came from them. If one European or American animal lover rescued one of these abroad, after getting well fed and rosy, Africans would be shouting for the return. |
